Sorry to all the CD1's who got AF today that really blows.

    Month/cycle: 3/3

CD/DPO: 22/8* (this is a guestimation from FF made this cycle because I didn't temp this month but charted CM and opk. Last month with temping I also got crosshairs on cycle day 14.)

Timing: EOD since AF, ED during FW except questionable "o" day and hopefully HIO EOD until next week.

Testing plans: when AF is due/late

R/R/CS: I almost had a meltdown crying because I got it into my head that AF will come next week.

What is it about hope that makes it so scary? I feel like I am intentionally making myself upset or sad now to avoid the pain of potentially getting AF, which is a terrible place to live.

Dare I hope or dream even with the threat of AF coming instead of a BFP?

GTKY: I love my sense of humor

Edited: half my post wasn't posted originally

  • Officially TTC again after NTNP for a few months/cycles. Well once this cycle is over.

    Month/cycle: 5/6

    CD/DPO: CD 21/10DPO

    Timing: ED/EOD

Testing plans: trying to hold out til Monday to see if I start, but with all my serious symptom spotting, I'm thinking Friday will be the longest I can wait.

    R/R/CS: Serious symptom spotting.

GTKY: Tell us one thing you really like about yourself!
My favorite physical feature are my blue eyes. I'm always getting compliments on the true blue of my eyes. It's the one thing I hope the most for for our LO.
  • Month/cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 24/7

    Timing: -2, 0

Testing plans: Tomorrow since I have a physical and I have wondfos to burn.

R/R/CS: My uterus isn't itchy so I guess I'm out this cycle. ;-)

GTKY: Tell us one thing you really like about yourself!
I think I have Bette Davis eyes. My grandmother definitely did and my brother and I inherited her shape. Anyway, love my eyes.
  • @AndiPandi127 -- I'm right there with you. 7DPO and my temp took a nice dive off a cliff this morning. I normally start spotting in the late afternoon/early evening on 7DPO, so I'm just waiting for it. I ran a marathon a little over a week before I ovulated. I've read that extreme exercise can cause short luteal phases (like it can cause anovulatory cycles), so I'm hoping that my training is behind my short LP for this and the past 4 cycles. But who fucking knows.

    Month/cycle: 3/2

    CD/DPO: 24 / 6

    Timing: -3 -1

Testing plans: the 7th with a FRER (to make sure before drinking) then on the 12th if no AF.

R/R/CS: My dad suggested a family cruise as a family Christmas gift. Yay! I hope we can all coordinate our schedules. "Before kids are in the picture"

GTKY: Tell us one thing you really like about yourself!   I'm an introvert. I like this, I feel like it makes me more self aware, and focused.

    Edit, I suck at counting.

  • @Lasscher and @AndiPandi27 - I feel the same way about setting myself up for disappointment. I think it's a coping mechanism!
This is why I love the TWW thread - we are all in this together and experiencing similar symptoms at the same point in our cycles.
    Month/cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 21/9

    Timing: -4, -3, -1, +1

Testing plans: tomorrow (10dpo) and Monday (14dpo)

R/R/CS: My temps still look really good and I have no reason to be so negative but I am not convinced this month was successful. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be feeling better even if I get a BFN. Plus I've had two days of work this week that have been absolutely miserable and I'm just mentally spent. And the past two months I've had 17-18 day luteal phases so my TWW is way longer than most peoples. I didn't even know that was possible!

GTKY: Tell us one thing you really like about yourself! I'm very optimistic (except for this post :) )

  • Update to my TWW: couldn't resist...had to POAS. 10dpo. BFN. Could be too early, could just be all the crazy symptom spotting has my mind playing tricks on me again. So now we just wait, til either Friday to test or Monday to start.
  • Month/cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 27/12

Timing: I think O day was a Friday & we banged it out the entire week. We had a happy home :) Haha..

Testing plans: Tested 10 & 11 dpo, both BFN. I'm going to test Saturday (15dpo) if AF hasn't shown yet.

R/R/CS: Nothing specific today!! At this point in the TWW I'm just ready for AF or BFP! Preferably the latter, of course!

GTKY: Tell us one thing you really like about yourself! I hate these types of questions. I always feel conceited for answering! If you're going to pull my leg... I was blessed with great hair & my jaw/teeth responded extremely well to the orthodontic & other dental procedures I had done as a child.

  • Month/cycle: 5/4

    CD/DPO: 25/4

    Timing: -3,-1

Testing plans: Saturday at the earliest, bc we will be going to a party and I want to know if it's "safe" to have a drink.

R/R/CS: Rant: Several pregnancy announcements from my cousins and friends in the last week and having a mental pity party for myself "when is it my turn??" BUT I just have to remind myself we haven't been trying long and it will be my turn eventually (I hope). Rave: SOLID CROSSHAIRS! in my 3 months charting, this is the first time!

  • Month/cycle: 3/2

CD/DPO: 22/14 (theoretically, i don't trust FF CH and don't have another day that looks good as O day)

    Timing: -3, -1, O (again, theoretically

Testing plans: Nov. 9 day after expected AF

R/R/CS: I wish I had had a better thermometer to start of this cycle of charting. Luckily I feel like I am in the habit and have learned quite a bit, but I want a Mabis one like everyone recommends so if/when AF comes I will get myself one of those. I have so many rocky mountains on my chart and for the most part I was consistent with the time, and having gotten the 3hrs sleep. Since this was my first month charting I don't know how long my LP is. AF should be due on the 9th, which would mean if I really ovulated on the CD 8 that I have and 18 day LP or AF should come early but that would be a really short cycle (it's 26 days right now) and I have never heard of a LP being that long.

GTKY: Tell us one thing you really like about yourself!   I really like my ability to see the bright side. It is really good when things suck all around and I can bring up my team's morale at work and I can usually keep a positive attitude about things even if they aren't going my way. We'll see if I will be able to keep that up on the TTC journey, I certainly hope so..
  • Good luck to everyone testing in the morning!
I think we're going to go ahead and test as well. So nerve wracking!
  • Month/cycle: 12/9

    CD/DPO: 29/4

    Timing: -5, -3 and 0

Testing plans: I'll test this weekend before tailgating but I'll wait til later in the week if AF still hasn't came.

R/R/CS: Long cycles suck, my doctor doesn't want to check any hormone levels or anything. Never had this problem before being on BC, yet she doesn't seem concern. Thinking of getting a second opinion?!

GTKY: Tell us one thing you really like about yourself! I really like my hair and straight teeth :D

  • Chart Question!

Posted this in the wrong place, so I'm reposting here to maybe get some advice!

We've been TTC for 3 months now after 10 years on the pill. I'm charting bbt (orally temping) and I'm having trouble reading my chart. FF hasn't marked my ovulation this month (typically 33 day cycle), and my temps aren't showing a distinct temp shift. I'm worried I may not be ovulating at all, and would like to know if anyone else has a chart similar to this with answers? Does it look like ovulation may have occured and I just dont know it? Fertile? Infertile? What to do?

*i have open circles bc my work schedule changes frequently and my waking times with it - however I do always get around 7 hrs of sleep.
  • Month/cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 28/9

    Timing: -5,-4,-3,-2,-1,0

Testing plans: I'm caving and testing tomorrow...with some of you! Ugh, nervous.

R/R/CS: I've been cramping, which is unusual for me. (Symptom spot much?) I've been having longer cycles (33 days) so AF isn't due until next week. Temps look good too! I'm like an annoying giddy schoolgirl every day I wake up and they get higher.

GTKY: Tell us one thing you really like about yourself! I don't mean to brag but I've been told I'm pretty funny. Also, I don't stress out too easily.
  • @ashleyerinw I had several cycles like that coming off BCP. I had about 4 or 5 long anovulatory cycles before I started ovulating again. I went off BCP in September 2014, and June 2015 was my first ovulatory cycle. My experience has no bearing on yours, of course.
  • @Mexler489 I absolutely know what you mean about the giddy schoolgirl :D

    *lurker warning*

Honestly I'm no pro when charting, but it looks like an annovulatory cycle to me. However, you might still ovulate super late. Once I didn't ovulate till like cd 25 or something... It's possible it will just come late due to coming off the pill.
  • @RachelT1234.... TMI alert.... we are extremely active, therefore we BD ED or EOD regardless of FW. Therefore when we hit the FW while not stressing the issue, it occurred to me that while we weren't trying, we could still have hit the mark. That initiated my SS and my previous post.

Testing plans: Friday the 13th, which is when AF is due.  I'm well into my 2ww and getting impatient!!! :(

R/R/CS: I'm feeling really bloated. I'm trying to not get my hopes up but with my medicated IUI scheduled for my next cycle and a crapload of meds on their way to my house (follistim, progesterone, etc) I am really hoping I just beat the odds and get KU this cycle so I don't have to go through all of that!!

    *****question******
So this morning FF changed my ovulation date to CD 18 when it originally said CD 25. I think it was CD 25 myself as I had positive OPKs after CD 18 as fertile CM so I'm not sure why it changed today for some reason. What do you guys think?!

  • @ashleyerinw I don't see ovulation on that chart. Keep temping and waiting.. Sometimes O is just later than usual. If you get to CD60 contact your doctor for provera to jump start your period.
    image image
  • I have read that your body temp should remain about 1/2 degree higher after ovulation and until menstruation. Mine only remained higher for about 2 days. Why is this? Also I have been cramping like crazy since ovulation on 11/1/15
  • No Idea what any of this means! New to thebump and TTC.

    :)

I am 27, on my first month off of BC and we are TTC.

Testing: I am ovulating later this month so I have a long time to wait until I even check.

R/R/CS: I havent had a normal period in years, so I am nervous.interested to see how this is all going to work out for me. My doctor said it was pretty standard but we shall see!

  • @DanielleZLaw - Check out the WTO Thursday thread. "WTO = waiting to ovulate" and "TWW = two week wait". There are different questions based on which half of the month you're in.

@amandaklee26 - your temps will vary based on many factors - exercise, alcohol intake, waking time, number of hours slept. My temp varies within a narrow range, some people have very erratic temps. You have to focus on the big picture, and that takes some practice. Usually you can't see O until after it already happens. Cramping is normal and doesn't really indicate anything specific. It's a side effect of increased progesterone in the luteal phase.
