Newborn hair loss

I know its normal...but my little boy has the most gorgeous head of hair and the thought of it falling out is giving me panic attacks! Anybody know a way to prevent it falling out?

He is in the wrap or my arms to nap during the day and laid in the bassinet only at night. He also always has a hat in the carseat (my own theory that this will reduce the friction?) LOL..

    Not sure there is much else you can do. DD1 had awesome hair too and I was so bummed when it started falling out, but it grew back just as awesome :)

    OMG I literally just noticed this! My son has the outline of his grandpa lol! I asked the doc and they said it's totally normal !

    Newborn hair loss is due to the change in hormones. Friction has nothing to do with it. It'll fall out or it won't normally before 6 months.

    Mine didn't lose their hair but their head grew faster than their hair so it looked like they didn't have as much. Lol
