    Today! Woohoo!

What are you most looking forward to in the 2nd Trimester?

Getting a bump instead of a blump, feeling the baby move, and finding out the sex! Ok, so that's three things :)

I hit 14 weeks on Friday! I'm looking forward to the same three things!! Woohooooooooo
  • I'm way at the end of the month....10w1d today so it will be awhile!
  • I hit 14 weeks yesterday...very excited to be feeling better and very excited for the anatomy scan. We aren't finding out the sex but I just want to see our baby!!
  • I hit 14 weeks tomorrow but I have been going off of what the dr told me and have been in my 2nd tri since 12 weeks. I was told the first tri is 12 weeks, 2nd is 16 and the 3rd is 12. So far I have been loving seeing my stomach grow and know that it is bump and not blump. Also, we will be finding out in 2 weeks what we are having. I can't wait!
  • When will you hit 14 weeks (unless it happened already)? A little less than 2 weeks! Yay!

What are you most looking forward to in the 2nd Trimester? Feeling the baby move and getting to find out the sex. And getting a real bump instead of this looking like I need to go to the gym thing I have going on. :)
  • I will be 14 weeks tomorrow with a due date of May 2!

I am most looking forward to having a bigger bump than I have now and seeing my baby in better detail at 19.5 weeks for my next ultrasound! We've already found out that it's a boy, so I am excited to start shopping!
  • Thursday! (With the adjusted due date.) I'm looking forward to stronger baby movements, DH and DS getting to feel the baby kicking, a more obvious bump, finding out the sex of #2, and more energy!
  • I only just hit 10w today, so i have one more month Dx. I am hoping the morning sickness will go away so I can attempt to recover the term, as well as having an actual bump!
  • I consider myself in 2nd tri next week (13 weeks). I'm excited to feel no symptoms, but my growing belly. I'm excited to start feeling movement and finding out what this LO is!

  • When will you hit 14 weeks (unless it happened already)?  I have a lonnnnnnnnnnng way to go.  I hit 14 weeks the day before fat pants day/turkey day/football all day-day/Thanksgiving.

What are you most looking forward to in the 2nd Trimester?  Being out of the first trimester!!!!!!!  Chance of miscarriage dropping significantly (sorry I don't trust that whole chart thing that is pinned at the top of the board).  Looking forward to us being finished building the fence in the backyard so DH can start on shelves for the storage room above the garage so that we can move the junk out of what will be the nursery and can start on the nursery.  Also looking forward to the anatomy scan.

  • I'm 14 weeks on Tuesday too!!
  • How'd you find out the sex this early ?
  • So long from now! End of November, and agreed on the whole wanting to move past the blump! In the morning things are okay, but by early afternoon it's all hanging out. I also have a friend who I'm totally convinced is pregnant but also waiting to tell until 2nd trimester, so excited to see if her news comes out sometime this month or if I'm just making things up in my head!
  • I'll hit 14 weeks in two weeks. Mostly I'm looking forward to the tanglable evidence of a baby in there- the bump, the movements. Right now it still doesn't feel true since I just look like I had too much pasta, and Im feeling pretty good. Also looking forward to finding out the sex. I have my nt scan in 3 hours and kinda hoping they can tell the sex today!!

  • 1 week and three days to go.
Looking most forward to our 1 month vacation which is coming up in December, yippieeehhhhh! (selfish, I know, but that's ok, I am allowed to be for  a few more months :-)
    Also : More energy ?
At some point telling at work, so I don't have to hide the bump-blump anymore, it's getting harder to hide!

And, most of all, the next appointment in week 14, to feel reassured...

I will hit 14 weeks on Saturday!  I am looking forward to hopefully nausea and aversions easing up soon.  Like everyone else, I am ready to have a bump and not a beer belly.  I am also looking forward to finding out the sex and to start decorating the nursery.

I am also looking forward to feeling the baby move but since I have an anterior placenta apparently it will be longer before I do.  Boo!

  • How'd you find out the sex this early ?
@lindseydelaine I can't speak for the poster you are addressing, but several of us know the sex of our babies because we had cell free DNA testing done at the 10 week mark. It checks for the trisomy abnormalities and gives you the option of finding out the sex. You generally have to pay out of pocket for it (I personally paid $650 though in the US it appears to be cheaper) so people usually get it done if they are higher risk for abnormalities.
  • I will be 14 weeks Friday!!! Yay!! Looking forward to feeling the baby move, no more nausea, and some energy.
  • When will you hit 14 weeks (unless it happened already)? November 24 will be the start of my 14th week.

What are you most looking forward to in the 2nd Trimester? Having more energy and it not being a secret.

  • We found out our baby's gender early by having the Progenity blood test. They take a blood test and look for fetal blood mixed in with mama's, and can look at the chromosomes for things like downs syndrome and also gender.
  • I will be hitting 14 weeks in a week and half. Looking forward to the blump turning more into a bump! Also we find out the sex our little nugget at 14 weeks, so excited!
  • When will you hit 14 weeks (unless it happened already)? This Friday or Saturday (according to my APRN)

What are you most looking forward to in the 2nd Trimester? More energy, no more nausea, finding out the gender of the baby at 20 weeks, baby bump and Thanksgiving food. Because I LOVE Thanksgiving food. =D

  • I'm 10w5days..so not for a while. I can't wait to stop being nauseated :D
  • Hit 14 weeks on Saturday. Though, really Thursday I think, because baby is measuring 2 days older. I'm very excited for my sex reveal dinner with the fam in a couple weeks! Already had the sex determined at a 3d u/s place, just waiting for MIL to get back into town!

Also excited to feel baby move, and get the nursery underway, and lastly see how DH takes to all the baby planning stuff. We've both been pretty low key about it, since I guess even now it doesn't really feel real yet. At least not for me.

This Saturday I will be 14 weeks but at my NT scan, baby was 4 days ahead so if the growth continues. I'd technically be 14 weeks today!

What are you most looking forward to in the 2nd Trimester?

Feeling the baby! Finding out sex! Sooo much to look forward to

Hi there! This is my first time posting!!

I will hit 14 weeks on Wednesday. I'm due on May 4th, which is also my birthday!! I'm having twins!!! So no free cell dna testing for me. :(

I'm looking forward to my middle section rounding out, and not looking like I've been absent from the gym (which I have). I'm really happy that I have the ok to do some light working out again. And I can't wait til week 20 to find out what "thing 1 and thing 2" are, and that their anatomy is all where it's supposed to be.

I have a sub chorionic hemorrhage that's getting smaller, small enough that my doctor isn't worried anymore, so I look forward to that being completely gone!

Oh, and of course, thanksgiving and Christmas for the food and decorations!!!
  • I hit 14 weeks on Wednesday!

I am looking forward to more energy, telling more people, and the 20-week ultrasound!

  • I'll be 14 weeks on Saturday! (13 weeks isn't the start of the 2nd trimester!? Darn!)

I'm looking forward to finding out the sex and feeling the baby move. I've started to feel better and work out again. Oh I'd love to get some energy back too!
  • 14 weeks tomorrow! Wohoo! Looking forward to baby kicks and finding out the sex so I can start planning the nursery. I would say I'm looking forward to feeling better, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.
  • I won't be at 14 weeks until Nov. 19th...  My doctor's office considers second tri at 13 weeks, so my impatient self will roll with that timeline.  I'm most excited for the "secret" to be out.  Only our parents and a handful of close friends know right now.  I'm also excited to feel baby move, find out if he/she is healthy, and find out the sex!

  • 14 weeks on Thanksgiving! So looking forward to less nausea (I hope!) feeling the little one move and filling our daughter in on the fact that she will be a big sister. :)

  • 14 weeks today!
So glad I have much more energy and don't feel nauseated anymore.
I'm looking forward to see my family and friends back home in Germany! Even though everyone was excited right from the start, getting hugs from your mum and loved ones will be the best feeling!
Can't wait for belly rubs and a real bump!! Today is another week of bloat.
  • 6 days! I'm looking forward to an actual bump without a blump, energy (I'm starting to already get some), maternity pics, and my hormones tend to chill out (I'm not so angry in my 2nd tri).

you had to pay $650 for this?! holy crap. mine was free. i was also not offered to find out the gender through this test. had to wait for my 19 week a/s to find out the gender of my little monkey.

What are you most looking forward to in the 2nd Trimester? Hopefully no more nausea, more energy, and a real bump!
Edit: Oh, how could I forget - I can't wait to announce to the world so I can stop trying to hide my blump under baggy clothes.
