My DH taught our DD (2 yrs) to say "mommy has a baby in her belly!" Then she looks for it in my belly button, so yeah...... I think people will find out before I intended. Thanks DH
We told my parents and brother/sis in law (because they have 4 kids and totally understand) right away. We are waiting until Halloween to share with my in laws (it's their first!) and other brother. Such an exciting time! But nervewracking and scary to think of MC... My heart definitely goes out to you strong women who have gone through that!! There is no way I could wait until my 2nd trimester to tell people like every book/website says to do...
Didn't do anything cute with H, I just had to get it out. But we know his parents will be super excited so we want to do something special for them, maybe get some baby booties or tell them at Thanksgiving. I don't really want to wait very long, we were just thinking maybe in a couple weeks for family and good friends and then go from there. I found a helpful chart that breaks down risk of MC by day, right now at 4 weeks I'm standing at 29% but in just a couple weeks it'll be much lower, under 10 % I think so I'm thinking that will be a good time.

@noelietrex is your Mom having a Whipple if you don't mind me asking? My Mom has pancreatic cancer too & had surgery. It is a tough road ahead for her but good things can happen. My Mom is going strong a few days shy of 13 months after diagnosis. If you have any questions about that or need an ear/shoulder let me know!
I am struggling with when to tell my coaches at CF.
I probably should have added that I have no idea how/when we will tell our family. Depending on how things are progressing maybe Thanksgiving but probably Christmas. The timing is so good for gifts to tell them!
We have already told our parents and close friends. Nothing cute, just a phone call/text. I did a cutesy announcement for fb last time at 12wks. We might do that again.

I wrapped my pregancy test into a box and had him unwrap it while taping him he thought I was crazy at first but he loves it now! We have an announcement photo for Facebook and long distance family we told family already this is our first pregancy so we are overly excited !
We told all the important people today. I found some mugs that said Grandpa and Grandpa on them, and found some baby blankets with sheep on them. We got bags and used the blankets like tissue paper. I pretended to play on my phone but I was videoing. His dad took a while to get it and would probably still be standing there staring at the mug if his mom hadn't freaked out, lol.
Gave his grandma a card that basically said congrats on your new great grandchild.
I face timed my sister and I had a sticker on my tummy that said My First Halloween. Then I called my parents. Mom asked if I'd be done with school this summer and I said yep, done baking up a baby this summer, then told dad trick or treat, I'm pregnant! My sister already has 5 kids so they weren't quite as excited but still happy.
It's early but wth. We couldn't stand waiting. Quite a few people know. For facebook, we have a border collie so we'll probably use a picture of him saying Baby Herding Duty Starting July 2016 or something like that. We'll probably wait til 8-12 weeks for that but most important people know already, and then some. H told some people at work so I'm sure everyone knows now.

I've told all my family. Waiting on DH to tell the rest of his and then we will anncounce on Facebook and post this picture. After have a high risk pregnancy with DS, a MC and then a healthy pregnancy and baby with DD, I'm totally okay with sharing the news early. I'm pregnant today and that's all that matters.

This is super cute!! We did family pics last weekend before I knew I was pregnant. We thought of maybe doing an announcement pic, but since it's taken us so long to get pregnant I didn't want to have that pic with no baby to announce so we didn't
I should be about 12 weeks along on Christmas Day so I'm planning on surprising everyone together. Maybe with a photo of the first scan in a card and 'congrats you're going to be an uncle' etc.

We're hoping to tell close family and friends around Thanksgiving if we can't wait until December.
It's going to be so hard to not tell my girlfriends sooner, especially because we're big wine drinkers so we'll see!
