Waking up baby?

My son is 2 weeks old. I was waking him on the rare occasion that he didn't wake up every 2 hours to eat over night. Well tonight we are at 3.5 and I don't know if I should wake him or not. I am pumping the side he won't eat on right now kind of waiting and seeing

  • I was told to keep waking my LO until they have regained their birthweight then you can let them sleep longer.

This. But honestly I never woke at 2 hour intervals. With both kids I woke every 3-4 (they woke themselves in that window 99% of the time) until they were at birth weight and then never after that. DD2 is 5.5 weeks and we are going anywhere from 3-5 hour stretches overnight.

I've thankfully had good supply with both kids so I also never woke to pump unless I was in pain from engorgement.
