Hey moms. I need help. My great grandmother asked me if I would consider using a middle name that starts with "A" to honor her late son. Our little boys name is going to be Jaxon. Im just so stuck on picking out a middle name as we already had one picked when she asked. Thanks.

Yeah i've heard that a lot of the time, the more opulent name that parents don't want to saddle their kids with but still really want to use tends to become the middle name. Not that it's a rule, per se, but that a lot of parents just tend to choose this route. Our daughter's traditional Chinese name will be her middle name, not her first, for example.

I completely understand why some parents choose to do this. But it's definitely not a rule and it's not a fact. I would hate to see somebody on this board second-guess their middle name due to A possibly inaccurate blanket statement.

The name for our 2nd LO was a tough one to settle on but now I couldn't imagine any other name
Our little guy's middle name is longer than his first but it still sounds good together and flows nicely!!!
My son's middle name is Abner.
I figure regardless if it's first or middle he can still go by the nickname.
