I was told by an acquaintance that if you have MS, you should give your SO a blow job because you're nourishing your baby with something it's familiar with. ***BARF***
Has any one else been told any rediculous, I guess, Old Wives tales?
Ew. That is literally the last thing I would want to do right now, lol. Sorry DH, not happening! [-X
I haven't been told anything to crazy yet. Ginger candy & snacking throughout the morning help me...but those are definitely not as entertaining as the advice you were given, lol.
As if I don't want to barf all day anyway, yuck! Feel terrible for hubs but I just can't be touched. My girlfriend made me a home remedy, grated ginger, honey, gelatin, basically mini jello bites, boil ginger in gelatin, I've been taking them every couple hours since yesterday and I feel partially human today! Cleaned my house top to bottom and might even workout....craaaazy!

Girl you crazy!
Oh and I probably should have waited until the afternoon once the majority of MS has passed to post this. SORRY!
That never sounds appetizing, even if I didn't have horrible MS (which is the worst at night!). Nothing really helps, but Sweettarts have taken some of the edge off.
I haven't told anyone I'm pregnant yet, so I haven't gotten crazy advice like that first hand yet. Best actual MS tip I've heard is ginger or peppermint anything, as well as B6.
lol b6 stopped working for me a few days ago, it worked for 3 weeks very well. I bought sea bands for me and I've felt good today. Took them off in the shower and felt horrendous. Back on again and feel decent. So I think I'll leave them on even if they look crazy. Peppermint ice cube gum has been my friend today too.

My chiropractor/nutritionist gave me Phosfood Liquid, a natural food supplement... and it's amazing!!! It's taken away the MS most days. When I don't take it or forget to take it it's much worse.

That's from Standard Process, and they market their products to chiropractors. Lol I would know - I work there!

Nice!! Maybe I'll look into that. I went to Target to get B6 yesterday but they didn't have any. Just B12. Why did I both getting off the couch!?
I also switched to a gummy prenatal and just that has been a night and day difference for me.

I practically live in my sea bands. But, yesterday after story time one of the moms pulled me aside on the way out and wanted to make sure I wasn't ill, like suffering from a serious disease and in and out of the hospital. She was concerned because I had bands on my wrist and apparently looked like death. She was relieved when I told her I wasn't dying, just pregnant.
I have had nausea so bad these last 2 weeks. No vomiting though. My doc prescribed Diclegis for me today. Praise the Lord for meds lol. I just hope it works.
