Hey ladies!
I had my retrieval on Saturday and got 23 eggs-17 mature. I got my first update yesterday and we have 4 frozen embies so far. One is "very good" and 3 are "fair". I get another update today. What are the chances of there being more that they've frozen today? Is it normal for embryos to be frozen on two consecutive days? If assume they give the other ones time to catch up because they were still growing, just not as fast.
Sorry, I'm just so anxious. We are doing a freeze all and then a FET and are really hoping to bless another family through embryo adoption as well. I'm only doing this IVF/stim process once so this is all we have. The grade of "fair" has me nervous.
Re: Freezing Question!
hi @knottie52234364 congrats---sounds like your cycle is going great!! They can freeze day 5 or 6 blasts as far as I know, so yes, in your situation it would be possible for them to freeze more today! Some may have been developed just right by day 5 to freeze and, as you mention, the others needed a day to catch up!
Don't stress too much about the "fair" grading. It doesn't mean that they are not perfectly chromosomally normal embryos--and that's what you need for a successful transfer!! The fair grading is a visual observation, not a test per se and doesn't tell you anything about the chromosomal composition of the embryo so that fair embryo could be your perfect embryo!! Don't worry!
Congrats and good luck for your future FET!
