Re: TWW post (week of 10/26 - 11/1)

  • I'll kick us off!

    Cycle 4/ month 4.  CD 13 DPO 1
I use saliva ferning, opk's CM and CP (I just donwanna temp)
    **Caution TMI to come....
Last month was a pretty big let down because I really felt preggo in the end of my 2WW. I decided I would change it up this cycle and I went back on some herbs that my naturopath/endobiogonist had me on when I got pregnant the first time and haven't been taking the past 3 cycles. I also had Mayan abdominal massage on CD 7 and I did castor oil packs on my low abdomen EOD from CD5-CD11 and here's the tmi I made my hubby do one on his testicles the day before O (I would have made him do it sooner but I didn't think of it until too late.)

My CM has been watery this cycle and I didn't really get any EWCM and this is super different for me, I think it is a result of the herbs. I also ovulated on the left side this cycle- how do I know that you might ask? I have a known cyst on the right side and I favor ovulation on that side, it hurts every month during ovulation unless I ovulate on the left side.
    Timing was -3,-2,-1,1

With all these very different factors this cycle I feel like a mad scientists just waiting for the results of my experiment. I also decided this cycle that I couldn't keep such a high stress level so I am practicing surrendering! Every TTC thought, action, word, I surrender to that which is greater then me. Every time I catch myself thinking "you are totes preggo this month" or "there's no way it'll ever happen" I replace it with "I surrender this." I am grateful for this chance to retrain my brain and an opportunity to learn this lesson...for this month at least.
2 weeks really is a looooonnnngggg time to wait.....

I think today is o-day. We BD on Sunday and have plans for tonight, so we'll be -2 and 0 for our timing, which I feel good about. Tried pre-seed, so hopefully that will work the wonders it claims to! I feel calmer this time. I am hoping so badly that this is our cycle, but at the same time feel like I will be okay if it isn't. That balance is oddly reassuring. I feel like DH and I have had some really good conversations about our marriage lately and he has been really pitching in around the house and with LO. I think that has given me a lot more confidence that we can, indeed, handle more than one kiddo without me losing my sanity. Good things. Anyway. Nothing to report beyond that at this point. And yes. @createillumination --I agree! Two weeks is a loooong time.
  • @sporty1216 we're twins. :) I think today is o day too.

Vacation in a few more days - think I mentioned we're going to disney - so I'll either come back with a BFP or with AF. Fingers and toes crossed!

  • Hey @sinnet! Have a great time in Disney! Here's hoping we can both head over to the July BMB board after this cycle. Wouldn't that be fun? Fingers and toes crossed indeed!
  • Had P4 this morning I'm 7dpiui.  Felt nauseous yesterday and this morning but I know it's way to early to have symptoms.  FX for BFPs this month :)

  • Good morning all!

I've been quiet lately, but lurking about on the board.  But right now I'm so confused and frustrated and going batty!

    ***Vent Warning***

You think two weeks is a long wait? Try three!  Yes, tomorrow I will be 21 DPO - and still negative, negative, negative!  It's driving me crazy!

As far as symptoms, I had a triphastic pattern in my temps, and constant CM since about 4 days post O, and the worst acne since college.  Everything else is hit or miss.  I might be bloated because I'm pregnant, I might be bloated because I'm getting my period, I might be bloated because of that extra long run I did two days ago.  Who knows!

And Fertility Friend - YOU ARE NO HELP AT ALL!  Why are you telling me: "You have more than 18 days of high temperature
Please take a test, you may be pregnant!"  Can't you read the damn chart - it clearly says I've been taking test and they're negative!

I called the birth and women's health center I plan to use if pregnant, and they could schedule me for an appointment, but not until next Wednesday.  Fortunately, I can drop in for a blood test anytime the lab tech is in, I just need to call and make sure someone is in.

Because of my severe fear of needles, I'm going to wait until Monday to see if either my period starts, or try another test.  Hoping I can skip at least one prick!

Sorry for the vent, I'm just frustrated.

I'm also tired since I was up until 1:30am watching my team lose last night.

    ~Amanda Marie
  • @amimhof - how frustrating! That's crazy that your temps have been up for so long without anything happening. Have you been testing with FMU? Hopefully you'll figure out what's happening soon. Fingers crossed for you!!

  • Hi @Jilligan14

The first time was my faux FMU.  I tend to go in the middle of the night due to the ridiculous amount of fluid I drink and had gone about two hours before I woke up for the day.  Between that and the fact that I was testing before my period was due, I felt there was a chance it I could still be pregnant.

The second time was the FMU (no early morning wake-up), and at 19 DPO.

  • @amimhof - so strange! You think a positive would show up by now if you were pregnant. But maybe your pee is more diluted? The blood test would definitely confirm what's going on. I don't know how you can stand waiting - I'd be running to the doctor's office today!!

  • @Jilligan14 - it might be, especially since i drink like a horse in a drought (literally, three to four liters of fluid a day).  If it wasn't for that pesky needle.

When talking to the midwife yesterday, I mentioned my fear of needles and she said that they do a lot of standard tests.  My thought was, oh no you won't with me.  I almost turned down a job because a lab tech told me my required drug test was a blood test - that's how bad I am. ( He was pulling my leg, it was a urine test, job acquired).
  • amimhof Oh nooooooooooo! I stand corrected ;) I would be going nuts! Pregnancy tends to have some needle sticks along the way....super not fun. I found that the best place to get a needle stick is from a person who does it all day long, like at a place like labcorp vs from a midwife who only does it a couple of times a day/week. If you want me to teach you some breathing methods to get through it let me know! FX for you that you get a resolution either way- go get yourself more tests and maybe save your urine thought out the night and FMU so you can try multiple tests from one sample. (*ew gross I know*) Keep us posted!
  • Hoping you never have to go through IVF, @amimhof!  It did make me giggle a little but I'm sorry you fear needles so much.  Sometimes they can lead to good things.

@createillumination - could you share some breathing practices for feeling calm during injections or needles?  In the next few weeks, I should be starting the first rounds of injections for IVF and am feeling nervous.  I have read to ice the area to numb it.. that is all I have to go on so far. :)

Piperella Yes! I'll create a short one on youtube and paste the link. I already have some meditations up, I am including a link to one here. There are a couple more on my "channel"  I hope it is ok to post the youtube link here, if it is against the rules and it gets taken down I can give you the info by PM! It would be my honor to create one for this ! I might not be able to do it until the beginning of next week, I hope that is ok.
Edited to fix the youtube link
  • Piperella - I had already told hubby (well before we were married) and IVF was out.  Not just because of the needles, but to me it feels too much like playing with nature.  It happens naturally, or doesn't happen at all (or we look into adoption).

@createillumination - my blood won't be drawn by a midwife.  The health center has a technician on staff that does all their blood and lab work, so this is pretty regular.  When I was there for a preconception visit a few months ago, there were four people waiting to have blood taken!  And thanks for the video, I'll have to keep that in mind.  Of course, dragging hubby with me to hold my hand might help too.

Oh, and here's an ipdate - the oh so helpful Fertility Friend told me today "Your luteal phase seems longer than expected and no HPT positive has been reported. "  really?  You're only just noticing this on 21 DPO and 6 days past my normal length?  Why did I pay for you?

  • @amimhof, that is so frustrating!  You aren't using any sort of progesterone therapy, are you?  That's my only wild guess as to what could cause that, aside from your own body doing it.  I hope you can find out soon.

I'm not afraid of needles, but if I had to hold a spider in my hand to find out if I was pregnant, I would wait years for AF.

Haha @carrieandroy!  I have a friend that is terrified of spiders.  Her screams over them have nearly given me heart attacks before!

And to answer you question, no I'm not doing any sort of progesterone therapy.

    @jilligan14 - I think this will work!

  • @amimhof - hmmmm. Well, it definitely looks like you O'd, that's for sure! Maybe that dip on CD24 could've been your true O day? Or on CD26 when you missed your temp? That would put you more around 15dpo, which is still strange because most tests show up by this point. So I'm stumped. :-? You may need to resort to needles in a few days if nothing happens. Fingers crossed for you!!

  • Hey y'all!

I'm 4dpo/dpiui, and no symptoms yet of course.  I'm going to test on 14dpiui, because that's a Sunday, and I have chorus performances Friday and Saturday.  I just don't want the stress.
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

  • I'm 5 DPO and since I bulk bought about 50 wondflo I'm already testing. I know it will be negative this early but I can't help myself. It keeps me from trying to use the 2 EPT's I bought.

  • @amimhof - I agree with Jill.  I think you may have ovulated on CD24 or even CD26 when you missed your temp.  I wonder what would happen if you put in a lower temp on CD26.  It may change your O day.  Still annoying.  Good luck!!

  • emsmama15jilligan14 said, and had actually tried moving the dates around to see how the picture changed.  However, since I had fertile CM on CD20, and I usually only get one good day, and it aligns with my O day, I still find that to be most likely.  I dried up pretty quickly after that (as expected) but had CM again around 5DPO (never happened before).

Even if I did O as late as CD26, I would now be 16DPO and should have gotten either by period or a BFP by now (got my 3rd strike this morning).

I'm suspecting a corpus luteum cyst - anyone ever experinece that before?
  • Hi everyone, and happy Halloween!
AF is due in 3 days (Nov. 3), but the glow app has suggested that I do test today, while the ovia app suggested I do it tomorrow. I don't have any symptoms at all, only the dreaded bloating, so I will try to wait until Nov 4 if AF doesn't show up before that.
    Good luck to all
  • No experience, @amimhof --but I hope you get answers soon! And, good luck @Jentje79

Just 4DPO here, so nothing going on, but DH is getting antsy. He asked me last night when we will know something. Usually he's totally oblivious to the TWW. hoping and praying that this is our month.
  • Any answers yet @amimhof ? Waiting...waiting over here!
  • I'm driving myself crazy symptom spotting.  I totally felt crampy as all get out yesterday (8dpiui/dpo), but then I remembered all the candy I ate.  I also got excited about what looks like a triphasic BBT chart, but then I realized that I started getting up later with the time change.

And then even though I know there was candy and a time change, I still start getting all hopeful.  I'm going to drive myself nuts.

On the up side, hubby seems pleased that I should O around his birthday this month.
  • @KLake42 - the time change shouldn't mess up your temps too much (if it's just off by an hour). I'm really hoping this is it for you! When are you going to test?

  • @jilligan14- I'll be testing on Sunday.  It will be 14dpiui/dpo (or maybe 13 dpo, since I think I ovulated the evening after the IUI).

It really is smart to wait-- I've got chorus concerts Friday and Saturday, and I don't want to be all depressed for the concerts, if it's negative.  And my RE wants me to wait until 14 days.

But I have started to feel tempted to try the early results test, just sitting there in my bathroom...

@klake42 I am 9dpo and I am trying to stop myself from doing it. I keep telling myself don't do it...don't do it...I want to wait until monday when AF is due! Luckily I will be out of town this weekend working at a nonstop pace so if I don't bring any pee sticks with me I really won't be able to do it until I get back just in time for monday morning! Now I just can't POAS for 1 more day..... =; FX for you!

Edit: I just realized I keep posting in the wrong 2ww. sorry about that ladies!
