2nd Tri Check-in for 10-26

Just thought I'd help out and get this started. It will be my first time checking in on the 2nd tri.

This is a weekly check-in for those in their 2nd trimester: weeks 14 through the end of week 27.

Congrats to all the strong ladies who have made it this far! It's such a great feeling and we've all accomplished so much! We are now 1 week closer to the end of this espically long journey we call "infertility".

Please post below a little about yourself, how many beans you have growing inside, if you have found out the sex(es) and what your EDD is. Please also let us know how far you've made it on your journey and when your next appt is and what for.

Hi there ladies! I added myself to this board as I am 14 weeks today. Hope no one minds. My due date is April 25th. I'm having one babe and haven't found out the gender as of yet. Hoping to find out results from the NIPT sometime this week. I go to see the OB for my second time this Thursday. Suppose that's when I will get those results. My major affliction as of late has been migraines, nearly daily. I've also been having lots of growing pains. It makes sense since my bump seems to have doubled since last week lol.

QOTW: No plans yet. I’m a huge Halloween fan and usually go all out but with everything going on we canceled our annual party and it doesn’t feel like Halloween to me. Maybe I will hand out candy and dress up for the little ones.

Welcome @krbjoy and thanks for posting the check in.
27w and just left my MFM appt. My cervix is shortening and he even had a hard time finding it at first. Baby B has migrated to have her body laying across my lower pelvis/cervix and is putting a lot of pressure there.
I have to lay down as much as possible. And I'm kinda freaking out.
QOTW: I was going to hand out candy but seems I'll leave that to DH.

@krbjoy, thanks for taking over the checkin! I've actually graduated to 3rd tri (I'm 29 weeks today - how'd that happen?!) and I look forward to seeing gals from here move over there in the coming weeks. Hugs to all!

I have a follow up u/s appt. tomorrow. Maybe he'll finally show his face! I'm finally getting over a 4 week cold with bronchitis and am still very tired. We decorated and will hand out candy for Halloween. I'm not up to much more than that, plus I've been to sick to get a flu shot - so I'm pretty weary of people (just their germs though).

Feeling great 23 wks tomorrow. I can finally feeling all the little kicks of our princess. We have an us and dr apt on 11/9 can't wait.

Our 20 week scan went ok- baby is A-ok

. But none of the u/s pics are useable which is disappointing- even the 4d didn't turn out so I wasn't able to see baby's face at all...but just glad she's healthy!!!

. She was facing her back every time they tried to get a pic and she wouldn't turn around- stubborn already lol.

QOTW: I got one of those Halloween shirts that looks like an X-ray with the ribs and baby skeleton on my belly so I'm just going to wear that to pass out candy at home. I really thought it'd be cool to dress up as pregnant Lori from The Walking Dead but didn't want to go through all the hassle of the costume if we aren't going anywhere to a party or anything.

Hey! Thanks for posting the check in. I did it last week, but would love if you want to do it every week. I have a lot of projects going on and totally forgot!! Told y'all I would.

23 weeks. Just had to push on my belly to wake up baby girl to check on her...kicking away now and I am relaxed again! Reg OB apt tomorrow and another u/s at 30 weeks to check the small amount of previa. I started checking my blood sugars (previously had Gestational diabetes) yup they are high again. On the bright side it will keep me from gaining too much weight. Now if I can talk my OB out of the sugar test all together.

QOTW: we are taking our 2 boys trick or treating in a friends neighborhood and then back to her house for pizza and PJs! I made their costumes this year...Lego blocks out of boxes, colored duck tape and solo cups! I plan to use felt and pin a pink Lego to my belly bump! My friend is going to face paint our group so should be a fun night.

Last check in in 2nd tri for me! I'll be 28 weeks on Thursday. I'm sure I'll still be lurking to see how everyone is doing though.

Appt tomorrow with my first GD screen. Fingers crossed all is well! Otherwise not much new.

I'm working Halloween so not much going on. Hope everyone is great!

Had a good appointment today, almost 17 weeks and the babies look great, the doctor looked and it still appears to be two boys.

See the MFM next month.

So we received our results today. NIPT was negative and we are having a girl!!

Great news, @krbjoy ! And I'll second all the "thank yous" for taking over the board.

I'm doing OK. I was MIA for a while because we got into a car accident. Thankfully the baby is OK, but it's been a long couple weeks of doctor appointments. The long story short is that my DH and I were fully stopped at an intersection when the young kid behind us literally just drove straight into us. No braking. No slowing down. Just literally drove into us. He was clearly distracted and the police are citing him. In any case, the baby is OK and I made it out with an abdominal contusion and a lower back sprain.

QOTW: We are going trick or treating in our new neighborhood and we are so excited to meet everyone!

I had my Dr appointment today, it looks like we're having one boy and one girl. But since it's still early were not 100% sure. I'm over the moon!

@CTinNV so glad you're ok!! One of my fears is the dreaded car accident since I drive in horrible congested traffic for an hour every day...but then for it to randomly happen at a stop light when you have no control - just "ugh". But again glad you are all ok.
