Just chiming in as a fellow short gal (5'2")...get a stool! I have one that collapses and is multi-level. Tucks away in a closet or nook in the kitchen or wherever. Not gonna comment on the inner workings of your relationship...to each their own :) But, girl...help yourself out and get a step stool. There is nothing getting between me and my snacks ;)

Haha! Yeah! He's usually really good about it, but I guess pregnancy brain is contagious!
I think now that I'm hungrier all the time a stool is a MUST!
  • It would be so helpful if you trimmed your quote trees!

Sorry! I thought it did it automatically.
  • I'm pretty small and now as my bump gets bigger it's kind of pulling me over in my sleep which is killing my lower back. I have a Snoogle which is keeping me on my side, but I feel like I almost need something to prop my stomach up on. Scrunching the duvet cover up under there isn't quite working and I think a full pillow might be too much - any suggestions?

I have this: Boppy Pregnancy Wedge, Petite Trellis Grey https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OIGTRKG/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_vp7lwb6E1PG3N
    @Shatzegirl That's awesome. Thank you!

  • Finding a comfy position to sleep is becoming more and more difficult, I find I am out of breath when I go up & down the stairs at home, Going to the bathroom is just a nightmare. One day its like I have IBS and then for the next 3-4 days I cant go at all. Uggh. Putting any kind of pressure on my bump is uncomfortable. Then there is just dealing with the insecurity of gaining weight.

  • Tailbone pain. I just want to sleep on my back. New this week: baby hasn't turned yet, so baby's head is shoved into my right rib cage when I sit. It's uncomfortable now, but I know it's going to get worse so I'm just trying to think positive about it ;)
  • Waking up in the middle of the night with cramps in both thighs (tops and middle) at the same time is super food. The best part is trying to figure out where to start massaging to make it better.
  • New pain on my left side, below rib cage, when I move my abdomen (i.e., laying in bed and going to sit up). Its a sharp pain and doesn't feel like the baby. Anyone else have similar pain or know if its normal? Its not fun!
  • @mruda I have that pain when I go from sitting to standing.
  • Been seeing a chiro for two weeks and Monday I was in so much pain I had to go in, he said he'd put $ on baby girl moving from transverse to head down. He was right, she moved to head down now and my back pain is far less. I'm a tummy sleeper and now can't get comfortable in and position.
  • 24 weeks tomorrow and still nausea every day and vomiting! Can't do anything but be sick!!! So miserable
  • I think I'm nesting... Really early... All I can think about is cleaning, I literally fantasize about cleaning my apartment and all the types of cleaning services and I look them up online for fun. I'm failing my class because every time I go to do homework , I start cleaning. I'm on an overnight, so I'm staying at a clients house.. I cleaned her entire house in one day. She's an elderly woman, so she won't mind because now she won't have to do it, but it's weird. I can't stop it. I don't want to clean anymore, but I must.. (PS there's new Hawaiian scented febreeze swiffer mop pads :x my kitchen is heavenly)

    My back hurts
This....always.  And I guess fatigue.  I've been through this before and I don't remember being this tired all.the.time!  On the plus side, DS's kicks are really happening so that's nice (especially when I get kicked real hard in the vag)! lol

I don't think you have to worry about regular activity till around 28 weeks.  I felt like this on Friday, but then she was super active the rest of the weekend so that eased my concerns.  At this point they are still small and can hide out a bit so you don't feel them as much, and they sleep something like 12-14 hours.  I would drink something cold and sugary if you are really concerned.  That always gets mine moving around!

  • I am short of breath just walking and I don't like it. Stairs make my abdomen feel like I am doing crunches. I suspect this will all get worse as the kids take up more and more space
  • I haven't been able to sleep peacefully in what seems like weeks. I am a stomach sleeper 100% and trying to sleep otherwise had been horrible. I am having back pain more often, but not sure if it's baby related or trying to sleep all funky . And let's just say the hormones are on HIGH ! I feel like I could cry all the time about different things, I have gotten snappy with people for no reason!

I'm on it ladies!!! Lol it's kind of scaring me. This morning I woke up and handed my husband a list of all the stuff I wanted to do with smiley faces and was like "okay, yay! Now I can clean again" I think I'm broken =))
  • General discomfort. I am feeling giant and I hate being on my feet all day. I wanted to be able to sort of take it easy and sit a little more while teaching (student teaching), but the teacher I'm working with commented how she really needs to see me moving around the class more and taking more on throughout the day. I understand that to some extent, but I also know that my body needs me to chill out some. I pick up to what she expects and end up in L&D and on bed rest because of contractions. Then she gets all peeved that I'm not there at all. It's really starting to frustrate me and makes me want to be done with the whole thing. My college is backing me and whatever the doctor says so I really just feel like this other teacher needs to chill out and get on board.

You need a rolling chair. So you can sit and wheel from student to student! My old teacher did that. She wasn't convinced that we could all just walk up to her desk. I say we start a fund! Lol
  • Had to see a specialist this morning and it's been confirmed that I now have asthma. I guess in 4% of pregnancies it can develop.

  • My stomach can be empty but guess who has heartburn
  • I am 26 weeks and 4 days and with my first.. Ive been having an awful pain where my right rib cage is. Baby literally stays on my right side ALL the time... My right rib literally feels like it's on fire and my skin is so sensitive to the touch right when my belly starts to curve. I've also been having Braxton Hicks contractions off and on lately... I'm so ready for Feb to come and this pregnancy to be over with.
  • My underboob keeps getting all tingly, like that feeling you get before your foot falls asleep, and it's only on one side.  really annoying.

I have horrific athlete's foot.  it's rare that I get it this time of year and I read that you aren't supposed to use anti-fungals while pregnant, so I feel like there's nothing I can do for it.  the itch keeps me awake at night.

Horrible heartburn.  I only get it at night and I don't eat after 6:00 so I don't understand why it's not kicking in until 10:00 when I lie down (I understand that being horizontal can make it worse, but I'm surprised that I'm getting it 4 hours after eating). Just another thing keeping me awake at night.

I just went for my glucose test. My appointment was at 8:40, at 9:20 they realized nobody had called me to the lab yet. I finally got out of there after 2 hours. I'm so irritated with my doctor's office because it's pretty routine to run 40 minutes late.

eta - Now I feel horrible because my blood sugar got low before I flooded my system with sugar. I used a friend's glucometer and my blood sugar is at 108 so I at least should pass with flying colors.

  • Can't get comfortable sleeping now, have resorted to sleeping sitting propped up straight because that's all that helps. Didn't go through this last time until last few weeks of pregnancy so this sucks

Good luck! I took mine this morning too, and my appointment was at 8:40 as well!
