... Anyone else feel like their baby is holding out for November?

I'm due today, but have a feeling she won't come for at least another week! Who knows though, labor is so unpredictable she may decide to look at a calendar and go "Hey I should do something!" lol

Hope you ladies are hanging in there and enjoying all these new birth stories! And I know you're tired of hearing it, but baby will come when ready (unless you need to induce!) Good luck!

Right here! EDD is Thursday and I'm convinced we won't see her until November. Pretty sure my doc will want to set an induction date for the 6th or so. Hoping she comes earlier than that.

Feeling ok though, which is a blessing. Getting good sleep, have a lot of energy, no real pain to speak of. However, I'd love a few cramps just to show me labor might be near!

Definitely possible he won't arrive until November. I am 40 weeks and 2 days. Apparently I will come in twice a week until I have him. If I go over 41 weeks they will begin talking about induction, and it sounds like it is kind of up to me as to when exactly during week 41 I would be induced.

That said, I just had a nonstress test at my checkup. My husband came with me. At first the monitor was turned away from me. He remarked that baby's heart rate would go up and down a little. Then he said, there's this other line and it is going up and down too. I said really? He said, I think those are contractions. I said ok, but I don't really feel anything. Then I had him turn the monitor towards me. After that I could feel that I did have a slight cramping feeling at the height of the bell curves. Ha! So my husband was right! The midwife read the results and said baby looks great and yes, I'm having contractions. 5 minutes apart. She said she wanted to check me just in case I was having near painless labor. Evidently I am 2 cm and 50% effaced, and probably about -2 station. Baby's head is engaged.

I'm still not getting too excited because I have heard of so many women on here experiencing something like this and it still being quite awhile before baby comes!

I feel you ladies- I'm a Halloween mama and figured surely since I'm doing the elliptical every day, walking my dog, and all that...he'll come early! LOL not yet!!! Just BH contractions...boo.

BUT there is hope yet- full moon tomorrow night!!! Who knows, maybe we'll all go into labor and the October Club will be done

Due Friday and have literally tried everything to get this process moving. Thinking we will end up with a November baby. However, like PP said, tomorrow is a full moon! I also have a Drs apt where I am hoping to have softened and opened up enough that he can do a sweep (last week I left so sad that he wasn't able to). Our anniversary is Sept 27th so it would be kinda cool to have our baby one month apart from that (and it'll make things easier for hubby to remember! Hahah) If not this week my DR doesn't like to wait more than a week to induce and because I am due on Friday he said he would probably get the ball rolling on Wednesday Nov 4. I am more then open to this and can't wait to hold this little one and swap out from team green! Good luck to all of you patiently (and like myself, impatatiently) waiting mommas. They cant stay in there forever! However, the next person that tells me that I've made such a comfy cozy home for the babe and that's why it doesn't want to come out, may get throat punched! Common full moon, work your magic!

I'm afraid I will become a November mom as well. I was due yesterday on the 25th although my original due date was the 28th. There are many birthdays in November from my husbands side (his, his moms, my brother in law, and our nephew) plus it's our wedding anniversary month. I joked at first that this baby will also have a November birthday when we first found out I was pregnant. Now it's not so funny. I have an appointment this week and we are picking a date for induction for next week if he can't seem to pick his own birthday. I don't understand how he has been born yet as I am 90% effaced, 3cms, he has dropped so low I can barely walk up stairs, and I have been having contractions like its my second job.

I am due Wednesday, the 28th, and feel like our lo may end up with a November birthday. Everyone was expecting me to go early so it only makes sense that she'd come late. I'm feeling incredibly impatient! Let's hope this full moon works wonders for all of us!

Yep, but this is my 3rd baby and I have said from the get go that this will probably be a November baby since my first 2 were late. Hoping for the 2nd or 3rd, preferably not later but we will see! Having had 2 that came after the EDD and trying all the suggestions to jump start labor naturally; I am beyond convinced that babies come when they are good and ready. Lol

I feel like I will! I was due on the 23rd; I have an NST on the 30th and will be induced as late as November 6th. I really hope I don't make it to the appointment on Friday though!

I too am due today! Yet baby girl insists on chilling it up for now apparently. Last Wednesday I was checked at 1 1/2 centimeters and she was definitely engaged. Saturday night we experienced 3 hrs of false labor but still no progress based on our spot today but who knows anything can happen. We set a date for induction just in case on Nov 4th! If not for this full moon this baby may well be a November baby which is what I originally wanted, now not so much. Good luck ladies and hang in there!

I was due on the 20th, and if Little Miss doesn't make a move this week, I will be induced on Sunday night-- I never would have guessed I could have a November baby, but after many tears I've accepted that I may be pregnant for another week!

I'm due tomorrow as well

my little boy Theodore is in there like he is in a recliner. No lie. Had baby mapping done. His head is so far into my pelvis - fully effaced, but only 1.5 cm dilated the last two weeks. It's very discouraging. But have no choice. Will see him soon. Congrats to you!!

I am due on the 29th and I am sure baby will not get here by then. I am hoping I will at least have a Halloween baby. But I really don't want him to come in November, it's MY birthday month :-) apart from that, I just don't want to wait anymore. I want to know what labour is like, I want to be proud taking him home, holding him and finally getting my body back!!!

Yep. If he doesn't make his way out I'll be induced Monday Nov 2nd @ 41+2.. praying the 2nd sweep I got today works and doesn't come to that. I am 3 cm and 80% effaced with my 3rd baby. Had an NST and u/s today and he's happy as can be for now.

Full moon didn't work. I had been offered to be induced this week, and now it's becoming super tempting. I'm just ready to have the baby, but I have been very against induction from the beginning. I'm just so frustrated! A November baby is fine, but my sister's baby was born early Nov last year, and I know she is going to want to do joint birthday parties and things like that, and that's not what I want at all. I just want an earlier baby so at least then she can do the weekend after and I can do the weekend before or something. We have so many little kids with birthdays in November we would either be running into other parties or no one would be able to come

Full moon was a fail for me! I woke up like every hr too, like did my water break? Haha oh well. One more day to relax, just DH and me.

Im getting induced Tuesday Nov. 3rd if he doesn't come before then. Was really looking forward to an Oct. baby and dressing him up for Halloween but I guess it really doesn't matter in the big picture. Good luck to everybody!

This is my 3rd late baby too! I was due on the 26 and have now tried EVERYTHING people swear by. Except castor oil. I hear that's no good. I'm so jealous of so many moms I know due AFTER me and have already had their babies! I feel like I deserve at least 1 early one. I'm getting induced Sunday though if nothing happens sooner. At least there is a light at the end of the tunnel!!

@waterlily31 I know what you mean! I am SO grateful for my full term, healthy babies but when 3 people ho were due the week AFTER me have had their babies already it kinda sucks! No induction here, I have a BPP scheduled and my 41 week appt and we will talk then.

I have been scheduled to be induced next Wednesday in the evening so he will be a November baby unless something happens tonight or tomorrow. Guess his birthday will fit in with the rest of hubby's family members at least!

I will have my second sweep in the 5th November if he doesn't shownup before. He has two cousins, one turning one another turning 4 on the 8th of November. Would be just my luck (not!) if he comes on the 8th. Don't want him having to share his bday.

I'll be in the November club too!!! At 37 weeks I was 4cm dialated and 80% effaced; my OB was amazed given that I'm a FTM. My due date was 10/25 and I remain at 4cm and have been 100% effaced for 2 weeks. I've now had 3 membrane sweeps, with no progression!! The OB said "I have no idea how you are still pregnant."

Same for me, @CamiB30 . Went for a prenatal massage yesterday evening and I think it either caused or intensified contractions, but I guess they were only BH ones.

Saw the midwife for a second sweep today...turns out I am still not dilated at all! What the hell! I cannot believe it! 40+3 and nowhere near the end!? I was so close to tears

I feel you. I cried after my cervix, being dilated for 2 weeks at 1.5cm, closed up last week at my 40 week appt. I had been sick for two weeks with sinus infection, then bronchitis, then laryngitis. Tomorrow is my 41 week appt then next day is my induction.

I'm still pregnant, too, at 40w5d

induction scheduled for Friday morning, but hoping I won't need it. Had irregular contractions all day yesterday after my 2nd sweep and they went away when I laid down to sleep. I've feel feeling pretty normal today! Ugh.
