I had my apt and ultrasound today.
Ultrasound was great. I saw the baby move, heart beat flicker, and measuring a couple days ahead at 9 weeks and I am 8w4d.
Then I go to my apt. The doctor says I have a nice strong baby with a heart beat of 180. He then says he saw 2 small fluid collection areas. I asked what that means. He said he wants me to follow up in 2 weeks for another ultrasound. He said he isn't worried about it and debated not even telling me or me following up. I then asked what a miscarriage ultrasound looks like and he said it normally has blood behind the sac or near the baby and I don't have any of that. He then mentioned it could have been a twin that dissolved. I am already on progresterone.
Has anyone ever had a twin dissolve? Has anyone had 2 small fluid spots that ended up to be nothing? I have never heard of this.
