Hi! I'm currently 17 weeks and have been having problems since 11 weeks. During my 11th week, I went to the ER because I noticed some bleeding. We had an ultrasound done and the baby was perfectly fine. They did tell me that I had a small subchorionic hemorrhage but that it was small so it shouldn't be a problem.
When I went in the following week to my OB they did notice the hemorrhage but only repeated what the hospital had said. But what they did comment on, was the lack of amniotic fluid. I was scheduled to come back the following week and there was no change in the fluid levels. They sent me to a fetal diagnostic center to be seen by a specialist. The doctors there were anything but lenient. They had crushed our hopes of carrying our little baby in our arms. After blood tests, they dismissed us and told us to be seen at my OB THE following week. After that appointment we moved back home to Louisiana from Hawaii.
My first visit back home was routine. Heartbeat was strong but as everyone is, they were concerned about blood loss. I was sent to another fetal diagnostic center the next day and they did give me some answers. The hemorrhage cause the placenta to detach and that was causing the bleeding and the lack of fluid. The outcomes they gave were grim and I'm just looking for hope. Out of the 5 doctors I've seen, none have given me treatment options or bed rest or any sort of direction. The only thing that has been consistent is the fact that they've all told me to expect to come in one day and not hear a heart beat. Can anyone give me some encouragement?! I go in tomorrow to see my home OB and she is familiar with me and my family's history. I will try to update as I hear news! Fingers crossed and prayers would be welcomed!
