My HCG levels.... Normal?

I just recieved my first HCG level results, 3956 at 22dpo. I'm wondering if this is typical?
I had a second round done but haven't got the results yet.
My family has a strong history of fraternal twins (my mother is one of 3 sets) so I'm curious if this number is more reflective of a single or twin pregnancy.
Any thoughts?

    I don't recall what my HCG levels were, but I do recall that my twin betas were not any higher than my singleton.  Sorry, I know that's not much help, but there really isn't a way to know besides an ultrasound.
    BFP 5/2/11 DS born 1/19/12. 
    BFP #2 12/29/12, EDD 9/6/13, MC 1/2/13.
    BFP #3 5/4/13, EDD 1/9/14  Twin Boys! L&L born 12/18/13

    There's such a huge variance of "normal" that HCG can't be used to tell (I'm sitting here waiting for my second round numbers to come back too, stupid office was supposed to have them today but they aren't in yet apparently).  "Normal" for 5 weeks is anywhere from 18-7,340, so you could easily have 2 in there each pumping out 2,000 or you could have one overachiever in there pumping out the full 4,000 on it's own.  Ultrasound is the only real way to tell unfortunately...

    I agree with Sgold. Also, it's my understanding that HCG is not good for determining multiples. As long as you are doubling every 48-72 hours, you're good, regardless of "low" or "high".

    Negligible AMH, FSH finally went high. Pursued DE.

    DD born at 38w2d on 5-27-16. Finally!!

    Pregnant again with OE. EDD 11/9/17 Girl!

    Woah. What? Are my numbers just insane then?? Cause I had my second draw today and I am at 14,000 and I'm only 5 weeks!

    Yeah, that's double what 5w is supposed to be but if your doctor isn't concerned, I wouldn't be.

    I was over 9000 at 6 weeks, they vary a lot. What's important is that they are going up, not so much what the exact number is

    Ok but now I'm still kinda worried!! Man 8 weeks can't get here fast enough... I'll feel better if I have a normal, encouraging ultrasound. @-) Surely my luck isn't bad enough that this pregnancy fails too...
    Last time I had the opposite problem and my levels were too low and didn't double correctly. :(
