We avoid heavier days but really unless DH is really horny, we usually wait till I'm on CD 6-7 & she's almost gone.

There have been times I've been super horny too while on CD 2-3, but it can be messy. You can put a towel down on the bed or shower sex.....it's not terrible but it's not the cleanest usually. I'd allow time for a shower afterwards for sure.

I use a menstrual cup, and since we normally have sex after we've gone to bed at night, I have to be REALLY motivated to want to get up and go to the bathroom to take the cup out and wash it. =P I know that makes me sound super lazy. DH isn't grossed out or anything, but he gets paranoid about getting anything on the sheets (I get it, king sized sheets are expensive), so he's not really eager to make it happen, either. I'd say once every 3 or 4 months.

The only times I've gotten DH to have sex when AF is here is when he's drunk and I BEG him. It hasn't happened in quite awhile though. DH is freaked out by blood - amusingly so.

My SO is completely not interested, which is fine by me. I had tried with my ex who was totally comfortable with it - it was ok on non-heavy days with a towel, but still I wasn't really into it and just felt a little gross. Though generally during AF I don't want anyone or anything touching me anyway.

@kycat DH said he'd try it but during AF I feel so off that I am never in the mood. We had once tried right when AF had stopped but in the middle of it I looked and it was as if we had sacrificed a goat. I was mortified... sorry if its TMI lol.

I clicked no, but meant to click SS. I'm not braining well atm.

1) Because I always pick SS
2) Because I'm all for it, and we have before, but Fiance would prefer not to, so I don't push it anymore.
3) When it's super light and almost done I'll fib and say I'm pretty sure I'm over it just so we can have sex. After, I'll tell him I must not have been done. He doesn't seem to mind so much since it happens almost monthly, if he did he would say something.

My husband would love but I just can't. I do not think its a turn on to put a towel down and think of my blood as being like lube. But I have on days where I am spotting but I do not count that.

Generally, no. But sometimes if I'm spotting/it's iffy, we lay down a towel, or take it to the shower if we must.

When I had the nexplanon implant I bled for the better part of a year before giving up on it, so he had to nut up or shut up...

Have also found some positions are better than others for minimal mess. Gravity is not your friend.

We don't & I learned something recently. H says if we have sex too soon after, I actually feel different. He says the consistency feels different, almost a little rough but squishy & not as "welcoming". I thought that was interesting.

We do when I'm just spotting because I can't wait any longer. We tried it in the shower once, but I was worrying too much about us slipping and falling and injuring ourselves so I didn't actually enjoy it.

Nope sauce. DH wouldn't care but I'm not interested in the mess and the work arounds. I also have heavy, super crampy periods, so the last thing I want is a peen all up in my business. No sir. Pack it away and get at me next week.

I do the same exact thing! I'll be on my last two days and be like "I think I'm done, we can screw now", and he always wants to wait "just one more day". So we end up humping on the last day and I'm like... "oops, must not have been completely done! My bad!".
Sometimes he gets aggravated. Most of the time he just doesn't want to go downstairs and get cleaned up, since we ran out of baby wipes.

I just keep telling him to love shower sex more. I get what I want, he gets what he wants, and he'll end up clean without any extra work.

He complains the shower gets too hot. As if we can't turn the water temperature down... Although I'm not sure I'd want him to control it next time; last time we had shower sex, he turned it all the way to cold "on accident".

We don't. I don't think DH would really care, but I usually just don't feel like it. We can never get the logistics of the shower worked out. Lol.

But I had no idea it would help with cramps. You learn something new everyday.

I always hear that period sex is supposed to help cramps, but I actually avoid it because it causes horrible cramps for me. We try it again every so often and it's always like my cervix is getting punched no matter what position we're in. #notfun

My period is usually only about three days long, with maybe a super light fourth day, so luckily I don't have to skip a whole week.

We often do, but not on the heavy days (usually only the first 1-2 days of my period are heavy so it's not a big deal). We put a towel down and shower after. The first time we did it DH was kind of freaked out but after we did it once he's totally over it.
