@crdo Congratulations!! I had such a good feeling for you and I couldn't believe you were going to be able to wait for your DH to get home, but how awesome that you did and were able to share that moment together. Your story made me tear up a little.
DS: June 2008 Married: July 2015 BFP: 5/20/16 | EDD: 1/28/17 | Twin boys born 1/16/17
@MNturnsVA - yes, we need to finish Oct out strong. Good luck with your dr appointment and FX for you this month as well. Also, your response to today's GTKY question makes me want a brownie.
@crdo I knew it!!! omg what is this wetness in my eyes?!?!?!
Month/Cycle: 5 CD/DPO: um...I'm pretty sure I could figure it out, but I won't. Timing: great, I think Testing Plans: tomorrow morning! and Saturday morning if BFN tomorrow.
Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: I updated my chart, but I haven't looked at it. I welcome a sneaky chart stalk lol. It is so hard to not symptom spot. I am NOT an emotional person (DH is still mad that I didn't cry at the proposal OR the wedding!) but yesterday, I almost burst into tears. Today, I almost just cried reading about @crdo's BFP. But I have to remind myself of that period of time when I used to cry the day before AF was due for no reason. Or that, maybe I'm just tired! Or my boobs are sore from wearing a bra all day. And my fingers are slightly swollen because I've been wearing my rings for hours and I'm nauseated from all the cheese I've eaten knowing I'm lactose intolerant! But, why am I dizzy...? smh I have to talk myself down a lot...
GTKY--With Halloween coming, what's your favorite candy? fruity candies like skittles, starburst, mamba, airheads...the only chocolate candy I really like is Zero (LOVE white chocolate and nougat) and Milky Way Midnight (WHITE nougat?! YES please!)
@crdo Congrats!! Good luck on your journey! Great reveal story too- cup of pee on the counter is so like real life HA!
@MNturnsVA Thanks for the response. I will probably stop at the store for that bottle of red tonight And I totally agree about working out containing the BSC to manageable levels- hope you're able to get back into it soon.
@MNturnsVA thank you for your input! I refuse to ss but I swear my body is just doing things differently than normal this month now that I'm trying to figure it out! If AF is on its way I guess it's not bad to get it out of the way sooner and move on to the next cycle. From what I understand the major temp drop occurs the day AF arrives, not before is that right?
@KASG So I looked at your chart, and it looks good to me, but, how long is your LP usually do you know? I would maybe wait a few days to test if I were you based on what I see. Just because tomorrow and Saturday may be to early and you may get a BFN......and yesterday I was so moody and it hit me @ lunch that I was very likely PMS ing......and even if I wasn't PMS ing, PMS and early pregnancy symptoms are very similar so I chalked my moodiness up to PMS.
@belle714 For some women yes, the temp drop occurs the day AF arrives, but not always. My first month, my temp had dropped dramatically and AF was here by lunch. The next month it dropped quite a bit but no AF until the next day, but I'm sure that was just because I could have O'd later last month that what FF had. For some women I've heard that their temps will stay up until AF has shown already or a few days into AF.
@MNturnsVA I actually don't know my LP. My old tracker app (P Tracker) always assumed 14 days no matter what so it would move the O date if necessary. In FF, one chart has a 14 day (really 17, but I think the O date was wrong...) and the other has only like 9. So I don't know.
The only reason I'm testing knowingly early is because tomorrow is my Mom's birthday and we're going to go surprise her so just in case it does turn positive, I wanna tell her in person (because we live 600 miles away and I don't want to try to wait til thanksgiving to tell her.)
@KASG I totally get the choice there to test to share news in person. My in-laws live 300 miles away and my parents live on the other side of the country. Literally. But less than a year ago we lived within 10 miles of each set of parents. I don't think we'll be seeing either sets of parents again until spring at the earliest so I'm bummed we won't be able to share any good news in person, unless of course it takes us that long to concieve. Thank god for Skype! A little more of a connection than a regular phone call.
@crdo Yay! I was waiting anxiously for your post. Congrats!
@MNturnsVA If I take out all other signs, it gives me dotted CH on CD 18. If I leave out CP (the sign I'm least confident in) but include the others, still solid CH on CD16.
Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: Man I wish I was temping so I had a chart to obsess over. I have always written down when AF arrives, and started using OPKs when we started TTC- so I thought I knew when I was Oing- until I found this board I finally decided my current method is just not cutting it so I ordered a BBT online. Just waiting for it to arrive so I can temp next cycle.
GTKY--With Halloween coming, what's your favorite candy? I do not like chocolate, so I dont like many candies. Maybe nerds?
Congrats @crdo! Lots of lurking and I am ready to join in. Here goes nothing...
Cycle/Month: 1/1
CD/DPO: 20/4
Timing: -5(x2), -2, -1(x2), 0
Testing: 11DPO, but I'd like to hold off until 14DPO
R/R/CS: Just trying to get the hang of my cycles. I just came off BC this month, so who knows if my CD and O dates are even correct. I used OPKs this time around to get an idea and I did get peak measures later than I would have thought. I know that is not the most accurate method, but it was what I had to work with this cycle. If no miracles happen this month, I might try to figure out temping (lots more lurking to do on that one!) Just trying to forget about it until it is time to test or AF shows up....but that is so much easier said than done.
Favorite Halloween candy: I LOVE candy, so this is a tough one. I would say Kit Kats and anything sour like Sour Patch Kids.

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: ****Chart stalk por favor**** Got CH today for CD16. I had a dip on CD18 which FF seems to think is a fallback rise. Do you agree?
Due to DH's request, we took this cycle off. This was my first cycle temping, so I'm still keeping track of everything. Hope no one minds if I participate.
GTKY--With Halloween coming, what's your favorite candy? Dark chocolate Milky Ways.
Looking at just temps, I would guess O was a couple days later, but I am sure FF is taking the CM into account.
Married May 2014 DD born August 2016 Baby #2 due December 2017
@socks2819 Welcome from a fellow newbie!! It sounds like we're on similar tracks.
I'm currently: Month/Cycle: 1/1 CD/DPO: 19/5
I'm very familiar with temperature charting but this was my first month using OPKs. I really liked that I had the two-pronged approach because my OPK said I was getting ready to O, and my FF temps confirmed the O over the next couple of days. I can be kind of an obsessive researcher about everything so it makes me feel better to know that the two types of information I had agreed with each other.
Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: I have zero symptoms for PMS which is extremely rare for me, usually I am cramping and my boobs are so sore I can't go up the stairs without holding them. None of this is happening and I am already late... I may have just ovulated really late this month as I wasn't great at temping and my OPK's didn't turn a positive when I was testing. I will test again tomorrow if still no sign of AF.
GTKY--With Halloween coming, what's your favorite candy? I don't even love chocolate but I love small chocolate bars at Halloween. Especially Crispy Crunch!
Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: I am really run down this week, exhausted with a sore throat but still optimistic. Had a large increase of CM today and getting cramps on one side. I'm trying not to SS but it's just so hard. My chart isn't looking to bad either.
GTKY--With Halloween coming, what's your favorite candy? I love all candy.
Timing: -5, -2, -1, O (triggered to time ovulation/TI)
Testing Plans: 9dpo
Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: Still just waiting! I'm anxious to see what my progesterone level will be tomorrow. And I'll be testing my trigger again tomorrow so I'm curious if the line will be gone or not.
GTKY--With Halloween coming, what's your favorite candy? Reese's and Whoppers.

Fellow crazy researcher! So I'm sure I'll be spending the rest of my TWW figuring out the ins and out of temping. Glad you used both. I know a lot of people don't like OPKs but I thought it was useful to give you a round about idea.

********Charting question****** I just started more heavily spotting tonight, not bright red yet, do I count today as CD1? Or tomorrow? I'm guessing tomorrow. Either way, not happy. On to cycle 8.
Married 2011
TTC #1 since April 2015
Fur child: One awesome Golden Retriever IUI August 2016 : Cancelled due to polyp September 2016: Polyp removal/hysteroscopy October 2016: IUI #1- BFN November 2016: IUI #2- BFN December 2016: IUI #3 - BFN January/February 2017 - IVF + ICSI + PGD March 2017 - FET
Testing Plans: I'm going to continue temping this month because of everything else I have going on and hopefully I won't go BSC again towards the end. I'm trying to tell myself its all out of my hands at this point and I can't control it and the only temp that will actually matter or give me any sort of insight is going to be the one starting on CD 12. That's it. Plus I don't like BFNS and I know I would be going crazy at my sisters next weekend if AF hadn't shown and not having temped and not knowing what was going on.
Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: Not much today. Just really looking forward to the weekend and I've got a lot going on at work next week and life, so hopefully the next week will fly by. I am not going to get overly optimistic at this point about our chances this cycle because I just don't want to go there and I have an appt set up with an RE for the first week in Nov. I'm also going to get my CD 21 blood draw tomorrow (even though it will really be CD 25, I'm not playing the OBs games)
GTKY--With Halloween coming, what's your favorite candy? I'm not much of a candy fan, more brownies, cookies, stuff like that
@chrlyr It didn't take the CH away, so I'd agree with FF. Or agree with BeachTigress about the other fertility signs making it give you CH the day that it did. What happens if you take the other fertility signs out and just leave temps in??
@PocketFullofshells I completely understand how you are feeling. If we don't get a BFP this month I have an appt to see an RE. Although I'm not sure how quickly I'm wanting to jump into a medicated cycle or IUI or anything like that. But I do want to get an HSG done for sure before the end of the year.
@MEA0320 We need to finish October strong!! FX for you too!!
@belle714 the spotting may not be a bad thing necessarily......I wouldn't go getting any baby items but spotting this early isn't necessarily a bad thing.
@jhems776 i think your chart looks pretty accurate to me
@bcooke314 I wish I had some advice or input for you on that, but all I have is it could be anything
@EasterEggs That is crazy about how long and well you slept.....maybe your body just needed it?? Trying not to encourage SS here.....
@noelietrex You can drink, lots of women drink until its pink!! Also I heard that the baby wouldn't be affected anyways until you were 6 weeks along?? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I feel like that is what I've seen around here. The blood stream or what the baby would get isn't affected until then? And I can't wait until I can work out again!!! I'm going BSC over here
@styler91 What the heck?!? I hope that you just don't have enough hormones yet to turn a test.....
@mrshjd98 you should probably talk to your dr first before doing any progesterone creams. Using supplements like that is usually frowned upon with out clearing that with them first.
@Lilybee8614 How long is your LP usually? How do your temps this month compare to months in the past? have you always tested? I'd guess AF would be here with in the next 24- 48 hours depending on your previous months charts/temps. For me, when my temp drops significantly, AF is coming and usually within 24 hours or less.
@bbrooke92 You'll honestly have to probably just wait it out to see how long the LP will be this month, or you could try to average it out? But I think you'll probably just have to wait it out. I would think the hair color should be safe. Temp spike could be anything really, a little early for an implantation dip. did you feel warm this AM when you woke up??
@Crdo I knew it!!! Awesome!! I'd been hoping that you were going to let us know sooner than later!! So happy for you!!
@MNturnsVA I'm not sure how long my LP is since this is my first month temping. My temp dropped way below cover line this morning so I'm definitely out. So like you said, AF should probably be here in 24 hours or less. Thanks for the tip!
@crdo Congrats!! And lovely way to share that moment with your husband!! H&H 9 months to you!!!
