Help me guess my babies gender!!

in 1st Trimester
I just had my first ultra sound today at 10 weeks and 1 day! It was so exciting! Anyone want to help me guess what the little peanut will be?? I say boy, my husband thinks it's a girl :)

    At 10 weeks the genitals arent formed yet, male and female are virtually identical. At best, we've got a 50/50 shot guessing just like your doctor, the ultrasound tech and everyone else who hasn't seen the baby's chromosomes. There was one of these literally 3 days ago that went over just as well, try lurking a bit more before posting, learn the established norms of the community before jumping in headfirst.

    I'm 50% positive it's a boy. Or a girl. Sorry guess my ute magic glasses are broken. But I do know it's 100% a baby!

    Why would she assume that random internet strangers would find it fun to make a 50/50 guess based on a picture that is absolutely useless. Its not even fun if its your own relative, let alone someone you've never met or even talked to.

    And we're excited for her for having a baby, but that doesn't mean we think it's fun to guess the sex. And what are we basing those guesses on? Motherly intuition? Nope, that's only for the baby in your womb not someone else's. I mean, maybe there's a psychic in the group that can tell her, but until then no one has any idea and what she (and myriad other posters) has done is run up to a group of strangers, shove her ultrasound in their faces, and demand that they have fun telling her what they think she's having.

    Well if you don't find it entertaining why even waiste time out of your day to comment on someone's post all I'm saying is if you think it's pointless or dumb just don't reply because it actually is rude and mean to comment on someone's post making them feel as if their post is stupid this is an exciting time in a woman's life all of you lady's should know that so let her have her fun and her moment

    Oh my gosh, if u think everyone is so rude then why are u still here? There's lots of other sites that would probably better suit you. The general feeling here on the bump is it's not fun to guess the sex of other peoples babies. You are in the minority on this issue-- by far. So if u don't like what ur reading then there's a ton of other perfectly good sites that u would love. Sites that love putting feelings over facts, and guessing at things they have no idea about, and symptoms spotting. If that's what floats ur boat then have at it. Not trying to be rude here I just really don't understand what point u think u are making. Honestly right now YOU are the instigator in this post. Yes u are entitled to your opinion but I'm just telling u, what u are getting at is a lost cause....people on the bump will never enjoy guessing the sex of a baby no matter how much u think we should

    Mean or rude could be saying something along the lines of - Your posts leave me breathless. Have you heard of punctuation? Talk about run-on sentences. I will say, you spelled correctly so that's a plus. Saying we don't want to guess what Jane, Renee or Bobbie Jean's child's sex is, isn't rude or mean. There are plenty of threads that have actual rude or mean comments. This however, isn't one of them.

    Lol you guys are funny but anyways I said what I had to say so I'm done talking I really don't care how any of you feel you guys are the type to gang up on people just because they don't feel the same way you do about things all I was saying is if you don't agree with someone just don't reply to their post instead of downing people just leave them alone but trust me I'm not the type to bite my tongue just because you guys feel some type of way if you can go around stating your unwanted opinions on peoples post I can surely write my comment saying you should be nice lol anyways have a wonderful day ladies I'm not trying to argue so I'll just exit this post

    Not trying to argue?  Ha, that's exactly what you were doing in this post.  Clearly you haven't lurked enough to know that you are not going to change these boards, especially getting people to not respond to a post when you don't think they should.  #thatsnothowthisworks

    But people are genuinely confused as to how one could even attempt to guess. So is the OP expecting a thread full of people saying "boy" or "girl" for no apparent reason? She asked people's opinions... so people are going to give their opinions. Most of which being, "we can't tell you that or even attempt a guess at this point, no one can." Which isn't rude, it's just the truth. 


    Yes, I can tell they are confused. Eye roll. They must be confused day after day after day, on each and every one of these "tell my what my baby is" threads. Yes, there are hundreds. You would think by now people wouldn't be so confused anymore and I don't know, maybe skip over these posts? No, that's not nearly as fun as breaking the OP down and making her feel bad for asking a question (regardless of whether or not it's a good question to ask).

    I've found the Chinese gender predictor on here to be pretty accurate. Got my first 2 right as well as a few friends.
