Twatwaffle Tuesday

Re: Twatwaffle Tuesday

  • My emotions are a TW. I haven't had many emotional outbreaks during pregnancy, but tonight was a big one. Dinner didn't turn out the way I wanted it too. My poor hubby had just gotten home late from work and I'm a mess, but he was great. I cried and cried because the grilled polenta didn't grill properly, and the roasted butternut squash just went mushy and not crispy like o wanted! I balled my eyes out in the kitchen and said I was trying to make dinner healthier for him. And then I felt guilty because the house isn't as clean as it should/would be because I just don't want to do it!

Everything actually tasted pretty good, it just wasn't very pretty!! And I really want to go for ice cream now!!

This! Emotions are twatwaffles. I have felt really emotionally unstable the last few weeks. Poor DH is on the receiving end most days. I try to keep my normal rational attitude at work, which just means I'm more crazy at home. There's only so much a pregnant lady can take!!!
So like 10 min. Ago I was watching a video of babies talking to dogs on YouTube and one of the dogs looked like my family dog that passed a year ago and I bawled my eyes out!!! This pregnant lady is ready for bed!!

  • My husband for having ppl in my house, for what feels like, all the time. Idc if football/baseball/basketball is still on. If it is past 10 pm they need to go home. On weekends, they need not be here if they were here when I woke up, for lunch and then when I'm going to bed. It's excessive now.

This would grate on my nerves. I think it warrants a discussion and compromise.

I read this as grilled placenta and was horrified at first.
Me too. I had to re read slowly. I don't even know what polenta is.

@hplunkett2883 Polenta is cornmeal, I think of it as kind of like grits but yellow and Italian. Sometimes it is served creamy but it is often cooled so it basically congeals and it can be cut and cooked that way (you can also buy it ready to cut).
    *edited because of a mis-spelling.

As I was making it last night I kept saying it as placenta and grossing myself out! Thank goodness it's yellow, an not meaty! I don't think I wouldn't be able to eat it!

  • I had to add this! I'm a complete twatwaffle!!! Last week I thought it would be funny to put my cat in the crib, now she goes on her own (it's been up for over a month, and she's never gone near it till now). Now I have to train her!! Oh dear
  • I know it is Wednesday, but I have a real issue with people who gossip at work. Especially men who are fake macho and act like they don't. Really grinds my gears.
