Broken stitches, ouchy!

I just really need to vent. I was having terrible pain going to the bathroom once we came home and for a few days I just figured I was being a cry baby, but when it got to the point where I would have to bite down on a towel just to avoid screaming when i peed I decided enough was enough and called my dr.

Well it seems that the stitches from my second degree tear near my urethra had come undone and had opened to about the size of a dime. No wonder I'm in pain. The worse news is that they say they won't restitch it due to risk of infection from it being open for so long. Are you kidding me? I mean I guess i get it but to think i just have to suffer thru this own wound that kills me every time I pee has really depressed me and made teeing to enjoy our new baby very difficult.....more bad news it started to open even more so pretty much the stitches are useless and I'm now stuck on bed rest and pain meds to get by. I can't jump up to get my little guy at a moments notice, my poor husband is doing pretty much everything and i just sit here like a cow waiting to be milked every two hrs by our little boy.

Is anyone else having troubles with after delivery recoveries, am i totally alone in this boat? Needing positive thoughts that this too will pass.

    Omg I been having the same pain!! Eveytime I pee I have to bite on something because it burns so much!!!!!!! I just didn't know if I should call my doctor I thought it was normal!

    Ya, it pretty much took my husband forcing me to call the dr because he felt so bad seeing me come out of the bathroom in tears and not wanting to pee for hrs if i could help it. It's tough because we all know there is obviously some pain to be expected from the delivery ordeal but when do we say it's too much?

    So Sorry to hear!! I had a similar experience. My pain was from a stitch that was to long. They never trimmed it back. (Long story..short version baby came with no doctors or nurses in room..I was stitched up by two different people) someone didn't finish or clean up the stitching properly. So everytime I went it hurt like hell from the stitch being pulled on or stuck to my pad or patting myself dry. It was also located on my urethra. (I tore in three different places lucky me)

    My last birth had tearing but it was not nearly as painful. The pain I was told is different depending on where it's at on ur lady bits.

    I really hope it feels better soon! My little one is 3 weeks now and my stitching is feeling alot better. Hang in there!

    OMG me too!!!!! It stings so bad when I pee Im angry :(. I actually filled the tub tonight and peed in it to get relief. Ya I rinsed off after and cleaned the tub but the relief was worth the extra effort and energy.

    Also, today rather then using that silly spray bottle I just hopped in an inch of water in the tub after, I did a good rinse and it seemed to help a bit. I just can't continuously pee in the tub but today might not be the last time I do it...

    Omg the pain is horrible! call your doctor and ask them to call in some lidocaine gel. Thankfully I had some from work and I applied it about 2 minutes before I peed and it was such a relief! I tore on both sides of the urethra up the labia. My stiches were loose so the tear opened on one side :( no what's bothering me is that I swear my bladder prolapsed. I feel pressure and buldging. I wonder if it has to do with the urethra tears :-/
