Re: Saturday Ticker Change - 10/17

  • Week/Fruit: 5/Appleseed!

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: Not until November. Time is getting slower.

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I'm being pessimistic and not feeling pregnant today, except that clearly means I am because of how moody and exhausted I'm feeling. I've been incredibly hungry and certain foods give me a metallic aftertaste. I know that I should be careful for what I wish for, but I would like a bout of MS to let me know I'm pregnant. I was so sick last time around, so it just feels wrong that I'm not vomiting.

GTKY: What book would you consider a must read? I tell everyone to read The Devil in the White City. Even if you're not a nonfiction fan, it's just that good.

  • Week/Fruit:
    6/ Sweet Pea.

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment:
    First appointment is Wednesday!

    Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
Nausea is back with a vengeance. I'm also super tired. I have a cold this week too.

GTKY: What book would you consider a must read?
    Gone Girl.
  • Week/Fruit: 5/appleseed!

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: my first appt will be oct 29

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I've been a little rage-y and I've had slight upper stomach cramps/nausea similar to when I had food poisoning last year. So that's fun. Last time MS started around week 7, so I am hoping to get another couple weeks before getting slammed full force.

GTKY: What book would you consider a must read? Recently, The Martian by Andy Weir!

  • Week/Fruit: 6/ Sweet pea or blueberry!

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: Next appt not until November 16th. Time. Is going. So slow. I'm just ready to hear that little thumping heartbeat!

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Not much to report as far as symptoms go. Still no MS, not really any sore boobs, just exhausted, bloated and moody here and there. I'm counting my blessings. H finally admitted that he's nervous that he'll hurt the baby or me when it comes to having sex lol so I'm trying to reassure him on that.

GTKY: What book would you consider a must read? I am terrible. I haven't had a chance to read any good books recently, so I don't have much for recommendations.

    Week/Fruit: Week 7! Blue Berry

Rants: yesterday morning I had some bleeding and freaked out. Luckily my high risk doc was awesome and got me right in! We did our first ultrasound and the baby looks great! Saw the heartbeat
  • What is going on with my posts?? Help!! My post above was twice as long and only posted half! I edited it to add the second half again and it didn't post again! Help!
  • Week/Fruit: 7, blueberry :)

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: I was not supposed to have my next appointment until 10/22, but a few days ago I had some bleeding and naturally panicked. Went to ER and got to see the tiny little flutter of a heartbeat ❤️❤️❤️. So many emotions at that appointment let me tell ya!

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Rant-> I got a call from the u/s office the other day and they just casually informed me that they decided to move by appointment to an hour later! Grr! This actually does not work for me because of the nature of my job, so I called back and (very assertively) told them that it is absolutely unacceptable that they change my appointment time and stated that I would very much like to keep my original time. Got my appointment time back :)

GTKY: What book would you consider a must read? hmmmm, tough decision! Among many, many others I would say To Kill a Mockingbird. Classic.

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment:
I had my first ultrasound this past Thursday and it was amazing. We saw our baby had a strong heartbeat of 135. I feel more reassured now that this pregnancy will be viable (I've had 3 early miscarriages). Although my RE did push my due date back a day but that ok I guess. I go this Thursday for another ultrasound to to keep an eye on the development.

I see my OB the end of this month.

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: One thing we did see on the ultrasound was that it was supposed to be a twin pregnancy. There was another sac but it was tiny and obviously didn't have a baby in it. I won't lie, for a second me and DH were about to faint. Although, I am sad that one my embryos didn't form all the way, I am also happy that it will be a singleton birth.

GTKY: What book would you consider a must read? Oh I have so many books that I consider favorites, but I will say that one that I can read over and over again is Wuthering Heights.

  • I'm a chia seed 4w2d. I haven't had a doc apt yet. My rant is pretty much towards all things lately. My first pregnancy I wasn't really hormonal and experienced no symptoms until my seventh week. This one I'm a raving lunatic, I kinda feel bad for the hubs. Anyway, my must read is Harry Potter because i am a scifi nerd and proud.

Week/Fruit: 5.5 weeks, apple seed to blueberry

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: Had my first apt on 10/12 since I'm high risk with MTHFR. Everything was good. Going back on the 26th for my first ultrasound. Can't wait!

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I'm sick! On top of the crazy pregnancy fatigue, I have a raging sinus infection which is exhausting too. Between waking up to pee in the middle of the night and waking up to blow my nose, I'm not sleeping very well on top of it. Painfully sore boobs right now too. They even got bigger, like I needed that, ugh. Ended up buying a sleeping maternity bra from amazon that is amazing and keeps me from smashing the girls in the middle of the night and is great for lounging around the house.

GTKY: What book would you consider a must read? I can't remember the last time I read for fun. Finished grad school in May and have 2 jobs. Definitely will use all of your recs when I find some time though! :)
