Meausuring 2 weeks bigger!

I reacently went for a 4d scan, i went when I was 26 weeks 1 day.
When they measured my boy he meausured at 28 weeks 2 days, does this mean my due date could be wrong? What's people's experiences?
Thank you xx
Here's my big boy <3

The scans are really not accurate at sizing past the second trimester. My DS was measuring at 10lb but when he was born a week early  he was 8lb 10oz. It also depends on what they were measuring. Sometimes the belly measures larger, sometimes the head measures larger, sometimes the legs measure larger. It all shifts week to week. The due dates they give us are estimates, not solid days. You could deliver a week early or late and still be considered "within" your due date and full term.

  • Im in the same situation I told them I didnt have a period when I found out I was pregnant first due date was December 12 that would mean I was 12 weeks at my first u/s but because he measured 9 weeks at first u/s they gave me the new due date of January 3 but now he measures big for his gestational age. So I think he'll come more so close to his original due date seeing as to how he's now closer to my first due date. Ive just come to the conclusion that baby will come when he's good and ready. Everyone even tells me Im big to be where I am but it adds up now because he's a big chunky baby already and I love it can't wait to kiss his chubby cheeks!
  • Doesn't necessarily mean anything at all. My doc said there's a really huge range right now in what's normal for both baby measurements and belly size. My daughter measures a few days to a week ahead but I know exactly when we made her. My belly measures 2 weeks behind but obviously she's totally fine. Remember a full term newborn can be 6lbs or 10 lbs and still be "normal".
  • I've been measuring two weeks ahead since week 20,  Now i'm almost 28.  My doctor has never said anything about changing the due date.  It's nothing to worry about.

  • I'm measuring 5-6 weeks ahead At every appointment. My doctor is getting concerned he will be a big baby. I go see her again this Wednesday.
I'm getting the feeling my son will be born early... ( call it mothers intuition I guess- I just have a feeling )
