This was so wonderful to read! I've always been so obsessive about weight and this 35 lb gain, even though I know that it's healthy, has had me so worried about getting back down. It's just the knowing that this is by far the heaviest and most out of shape I've ever been that kills me. So reading your post was very, very reassuring!

The way I see it is - this is probably my last pregnancy and I will never be this big and out of shape again. It can only get better from here. I just love hearing how fast some people lose a lot of weight PP!
That is awesome @alexisg777! I die a little though because that would be a dream come true for me. Since this is baby #3 I hold no hope for it to actually happen. Lol
That is awesome! I'm 3 weeks pp and have lost about 30 lbs. I gained about 35, so I only have a little ways to go. I still have a little bit of a tummy, but I had a c-section, so I'm not too concerned about it.
I was at my pre pregnancy weight when we were discharged. I only gained 15lbs and am down about 25 2 weeks pp. I haven't ever been a scale person but I am loving watching this weight go down. I will say though even though I weigh less it doesn't look good. My belly is mushy. I think my ab muscles were destroyed.
I thought I was the only one thinking about weight loss!! I am so glad someone made this thread because I have been dying to tell someone. Lol I am 11 days post partum. Gained 16lbs and am down 22lbs. And I have to agree with the above. Although I am weighing less, it doesn't look great...yet. my belly is mushy as well. But this is my second baby, so I just keep reminding myself it doesn't let forever. But for now, I am very happy to weigh less and feel like a deflated balloon! Lol
I've been out of the hospital a week, so I'm like a week and a half PP. I think I've lost a total of 12 lbs. Half of that was baby. 10 or so lbs to go but that's not going anywhere till people from church stop brining us food!
I did try on my pre-baby jeans today out of morbid curiosity and they fit - all except my massively stretched out and squishy postpartum belly. Guess I'll be sticking to sweats a while longer.
Oh and breastfeeding makes me so hungry I don't think it's going to help with weight loss. :-/
I am on day 6 PP, no scale at home so I'm clueless. I lost all of my belly just not "tight" yet . I will be weight at 2wk check up in just another week, I'm curious. I haven't layed off my sweet cravings though.. all the food people have brought me has come with a requested dessert.
I've gained 40+ pounds but I was underweight (barely a 100 lbs.) before pregnancy. I've never been this big & I'm so scared I'll have to actually work out to achieve a flat stomach; my metabolism kept me skinny! I'm still on week 38 though so I'm just panicking myself...
I'm a week and a half pp from csection staring weight was 216 day I had my son I was 228 and weight right now I am 198 I am under my pre pregnancy weight and still dropping and haven't worked out yet!
I gained 29 pounds in all and I'm 10 days pp and back at my pre-pregnancy weight which is weird but I'm breastfeeding and I struggle to eat when I'm home alone all day. When he sleeps I try to sleep and eating is a 2nd thought.
I love this thread! I'm curious to see how much weight the mommas who gained a little more lose. I haven't had baby yet but I'm up 45 pounds and counting! Still exercising everyday though, praying and crossing my fingers it comes off as easy as it is for all of you!!! So reassuring knowing it WILL come off haha
I'm with all the moms that gained a bit more...Seems like most only gained 30ish pounds but I'm at 50 pounds now. I was 95lbs prepreggers, I feel like I'll never see that shape again. I'm only 5' so a little weight on me rounds me out like the plum girl from Willy Wonka and my joints aren't handling it well. I hope my story goes like @Blinkbaby !
I weight 100lbs when I got pregnant and gained 40lbs. 8 days pp and exclusively breastfeeding...lost about 17lbs. Not really in a rush to lose weight. I'm just enjoying my time.
I gained 27 lbs and I'm down 21 at 12 days pp. I don't remember it coming off this fast with my other pregnancies. Kinda wish I had eaten more fun food when pregnant instead of worrying about the weight. Haven't tried on any pre-preg clothes because I'm too sore. My belly is very soft and doughy, but once I can exercise I hope that will improve.
I'm down 24 pounds in less than 2 weeks! But I've been stuck at that weight, anyone else plateau? I'm actually exercsing (because I feel great- easy recovery) and the scale still hasn't moved. I should add that I gained 55 pounds total!
I gained 57lbs, now 16 days pp and I've lost 30lbs. Breastfeeding exclusively probably helps but I've not been as active as I hoped for health reasons but hopefully that changes soon. Gotta lose 27lbs here!
2 weeks pp and I've lost 25lbs. I still have 20 to go but had a rough delivery and haven't been exercising. Looking forward to being cleared for activity! And yes, thank god for breastfeeding!
I gained 35 and have yet to check out the scale. I feel so squishy. I've banned myself until thanksgiving to weigh myself. The last thing I need is another blow to my self esteem. I'm already unbathed, sleep deprived and not suitable to be in public. knowing my weight just has the Potential to make me feel worse.
I gained 25 lbs during pregnancy and now one week after delivery have lost 28 lbs. Of course my abdomen is really squishy! I was overweight before pregnancy so I actually need to lose another 30lbs to get down to a healthy weight. Hopefully it will stop raining so we can start going out for walks!!
I gained 40 lbs. This morning (19 days pp) I've lost 20. I'm exclusively breastfeeding , so im hoping that will help the rest come off. I think my body looks ok, kind of like I just haven't worked out in a year ( which I really haven't).
