Pregnant Halloween Plans

What are you all planning to do for Halloween this year? Any fun costumes?

FTM here, every past year Ive gone to a party but those parties involve mostly drinking, so laying low his year. We will go out to dinner with some friends and maybe carve pumpkins. No costume but initial plan was pregnant nun and husband dressed as a priest :\">

Re: Pregnant Halloween Plans

  • That's what my parents did when preggers with my brother!!

Hubby and I have been debating Halloween too. Our favorite holiday, but going to a booze fest sounds awful.

I know! I love Halloween but it usually revolves around booze fest parties and going to "haunted houses" and amusement parks. They advise against anywhere you get scared and startled for pregnant women and obviously no rides.
  • Assuming I'm still pregnant, I'll do a relatively simple costume for work the day before. Halloween night, a local theater is showing "Halloween" (70's version) at 11 PM that I'd like to go to. I'm sure I'll be napping beforehand though.
  • I'll likely be decorating my house for Christmas depending on how I feel. We don't do Halloween in our house, we skip right to Christmas.
  • Well, if I'm still pregnant I'll be taking my daughter trick or treating hoping I go into labor....my doctor has me scheduled for an induction the next day, which is my birthday lol

Waiting to see what the next 3 weeks brings...its one of my favorite Holidays so it feels so weird to be "benched" this year haha.

  • Trick or treating with the kiddos. My hubs already asked me if I would be able to make the trek this year. May just be a bit slower. Definitely will need a nap prior to!! Hope my back holds out!
  • Trick or treating with my son and the dog in my sister in laws neighborhood. Then going to bed early so that I can take my Halloween decorations down and put my Christmas ones up lol
  • No costumes for me, I dress my 3 kiddos up and hope to take them trick or treating. My husband and I both have a feeling I may go earlier then my EDD of the 9th so I'm just hoping y boys get to go! If I haven't had a baby yet then walking around town might make me go into labor! I've been set on a November baby so I would prefer not to go before Halloween!!

My friends are having their housewarming party on Halloween. Naturally, it will be a costume party.

I'm dressing up as a pregnant 50's housewife and my husband is dressing up as, "The Milk Man". I hope people get it!

That's what we're doing!! We have a party at work and we decided to go. We never usually dress up but that seems like a super easy idea!
  • Walking walking walking with DD while we trick or treat with friends and their kids.
I'm not due till the end of November though, so I still have a ways to go :)

If I was closer and more miserable I would be staying home to hand out the candy :)

We don't get trick or treaters at our house. I've never got into dressing up either. Hubs will take dd around old neighborhood all dressed up....I'll probably just sit with old neighbors and shoot the breeze. :) I can barely walk now let alone then. Baby is scheduled for 11-2!
  • We got invited to a friend's house for a low-key party, so we'll probably go watch cheesy halloween movies, we'll all eat all kinds of candy, and everyone else will have some beers. I'm trying to convince the other half that we need to be Gomez and Morticia, but no dice on that so far.
  • I will be taking my kids trick-or-treating (hopefully with a friend or two??) while DH works on a project roll-out. I'm a little bummed that he's missing it...DS didn't really get it much last year, and I think he will have SOOO much fun this year! Just hoping it doesn't rain again! It seems like it has rained every year we've lived at this house, and we didn't really do much trick-or-treating when we lived in our old apartment. :)

  • It's looking like I might have my son by then, if not I'll be prepping and packing and going over everything twice while watching scary movies and probably over indulging in Reese's.
  • DH and I will take DS trick or treating in our development. I'll wear all black with a tail and ears. Meow. Hopefully I can make it around the block a few times

Did I write this post I am dress DD up and trick or treating in the neighborhood. Hoping to go into labor but not have baby until November. Also due the 9th.
  • Just depends on if I'm pregnant or not. My EDD is Nov 1 but we might be inducing next week, so who knows. If I am pregnant I'll probably sit outside (bc apparently kids don't go to doors anymore????) and eat/hand out candy. If I have a baby I'll be ooing and ahhing in love while I eat candy inside.

Either way, I'm eating candy. :x
  • I volunteered at the pumpkin farm (this dumb thing we have near my school) where kids come and basically play in a maze made out of pumpkins. I used to go when I was little so it's a cute tradition.
    Do unto others.
  • I think I want to wear just a cute pumpkin shirt and hand out candy if we get any trick or treaters (I hope we do!). But if there is something going on I'm sure I'll go out with DH. Either way I'm getting candy.

  • If im still pregnant then I'm taking my dogs for a walk in their little costumes!! Just a few times around the block then back home to sit in my panda onesie and eat popcorn and watch Disney channel.. They are going as a shark and a bumble bee :)
  • I think I'm just gonna lay low, be a snowman, and hand out candy to any cute little trick or treaters. If we don't have many, I'll eat all the leftover candy :D

Worlds different from last year's halloween party shenanigans.
  • DD and DH will go trick or treating and I will sit at home and eat Laffy Taffy.
  • I will be working that weekend. I work in a senior living community. I made my shirt this week but I still need to add a lil basket. I'm not sure if I'm going to paint my face like a zombie or add anything else.
  • My Halloween tshirt finally came today! I can't wait to wear it! In due on the 4th of November so little one had best hang in there till after Halloween. I plan on going to a family party, and not staying too long, then Going home to watch spooky movies and eat sweets :)
  • I'll be going to a Taylor Swift concert! Fingere crossed, maybe baby girl will love it so much, she decides to make her debut a little earlier than 40 weeks! Lol

  • My husband and I are not big on dressing up so we like to lay low on Halloween, we always carve pumpkins and get candy to pass out to trick or treaters, we love seeing all the cute costumes and there are a lot of kids in our neighborhood. I'm sure this year will be no different--maybe some extra candy so I know I'll have leftovers for me!!
  • I'll be trick or treating with DS and doubt I'll have a costume on. It usually snows on Halloween here.

I did however see a hilarious costume where mom wore a white shirt, drew a humpty face on it and built a brick wall underneath. It was hilarious! Nothing like a giant egg for Halloween.
  • The husband and I finally live on a street where kids will actually stop for candy. We live right on Main Street in our small town and I can't wait to hand out candy for the first time! I want to dress up as well and I saw a cute picture where a woman painted her belly as Wilson, the volleyball, from the movie Castaway. Haha. But I think painted bellies are a little awkward!
