I like Pampers, but with 2 in diapers, we can't afford that. I actually really like Luv's, though, and I've also recently started buying Target diapers when they have the special where they are on sale and you get a $20 or $30 gift card, too! Now that's a good deal!
I'm flying the Huggies flag over here. No skin issues with any other brands, but the Up&Up (target brand) seem to always have poop escape when he wears them, my husband doesn't like Luvs during the day because they don't have the pee indicator line but we love them for nighttime - they DO hold a ridiculous amount of pee, that's the truth. He also feels that Luvs don't hold poop as well, tho I've never had a problem there. So its Pampers or Huggies, and Huggies just fit better. Besides, I've signed up for the Huggies rewards and paid a lot of points into it (it feels like a lot, anyway), so unless he starts to have problems I'm gonna stick with the Huggies so I can eventually get some free toys or something. Pretty much anytime Target has the gift card special on diapers I buy some, even if I'm not low on diapers. I also bought some from Jet for cheap.
Pampers for my girls! They broke out with huggies and Target brand. We gave up on trying other brands because we knew pampers worked. I also like collecting the rewards for pampers. With twins, we have like 3,000 points already and they have some good stuff you can get!
Pampers and up & up leaked, luvs broke him out, so I'm loving huggies. They leak sometimes, usually if he's been a the car seat a while, but they work the best. I like the little snugglers.
While I was pregnant my d/h fell in love with the Huggies business model. After coming home from the hospital he liked Pampers. Now that she's moving up in the world Luvs seems to be the only brand I can find that fit around her skinny legs, unless I'm not putting the diapers on correctly. She still explodes out of the Luvs diapers when she poops though. Ey-yi-yi
I'm using luvs and pampers. Majority luvs, but pampers at night just because I like the softness ha. Luvs are way cheaper and they work for her, Except a couple poop blowouts which happen sometimes while she's layin across me eating so if she starts to go I sit her up.
I use all the stuff we got from our diaper shower. But I do prefer pampers. I will say that l/o doesn't poop but maybe twice a week so not afraid of blow outs. So I could go with the cheaper stuff.
I love luvs except for the fact that they don't have the pee indicator. My aunt and uncle bought us a big box of Huggies and I'm loving them but LO has a weird rash on the upper inside of his leg that I originally thought was diaper rash but it hasn't gone away and it's not on his bum. Hearing you other ladies say that some diaper brands have made their LOs break out confirms my suspicions that certain diapers can give them a rash. I'm going to ask the pedi at his appt on Monday but I'll be disappointed if it is the diapers because I like the Huggies as much as I like the luvs!
We definitely have frequent poop blowouts with Luvs. They work SO well for pee so I don't get it.
Yes! SO good for pee, but every time he poops wearing them they leak. Every time. Otherwise I'd use the crap out of them (haha, unintentional pun). And he poops every day, usually, occasionally skipping one day, so I need to be sure his diapers will hold poop. I like the Little Snugglers, too.
@LaurenAnn0405 my sister's boy broke out with almost anything except Pampers, hope you find something that works!
Pampers swaddlers, love! We also found that we like the babyganics diapers for overnight, but since they run small we buy one size up in them. They aren't as nice as the pampers for softness but they are super absorbent for overnight, never leak!

We have 3 in pampers! We've already redeemed 2 free calendars from shutterfly, and we have like 4000 points. We're working on potty training for ds, but the twins will be in them quite a while.
I tried huggies and my son got a rash. Used to use pampers until we got to about size 2, and suddenly they just fitting right anymore? Not sure why... He kept having blowouts. So now I'm using LUVS and I absolutely love that brand!
I know this isn't on the list, but we used honest, and switched to Earths best. They are pricey, but we were fortunate enough to get a ton of hand me down clothes from my sister, and DD is ebf, so I don't mind spending a little extra on diapers. LO has never had any irritation or diaper rash from either. I haven't noticed a big difference between the two in terms of absorbancy, but it sounds like blow outs happen in all brands.
Pampers swaddlers during the day and pampers baby dry at night! I found huggies left little fibers on my little guys penis, honest diapers were total blow outs, target diapers were too stiff. I liked luvs too but they didn't fit as well when he was in newborn size and we haven't tried since!
What is the difference between the swaddlers and the baby dry? I wonder if I would like the baby dry at night?
I just bought my first pack of Baby Dry today, after LO started leaking out of the Swaddlers after all night plus an hour or two in the morning (see the DH rant thread, grrr!). Baby Dry do not have the wetness indicator line, and they are designed to be worn overnight/up to 12 hours. So, more absorbant than Swaddlers.
We exclusively use Pampers after not having luck with other brands. I might try Luvs, but...I've already wasted a month's supply of diaper money trying to find an alternative to Pampers.
Does anyone else notice a size difference between Pampers Swaddlers and Baby Dry? LO wears a 2 in Swaddlers, but it seemed like I should have gotten a 3 in the Baby Dry. I guess we will see in the morning...
@virginiaunicorn11 ^^ I really do like the luvs but for the fact they didn't seem to fit well he had poop blowouts in them. I had purchased two (I dunno the size for sure) 40 or 50 count bags because I had a coupon and used 1 of the bags awhile back - when he first fit the 'size'. I opened the other bag yesterday for nighttime use. Now he is bigger but still fits the 'size', and they fit much better. I'm wondering if we would still have poop leaks now, I'm thinking no, what with the way they fit now. They do not have the indicator line, tho, which my DH cares about more than I do. They're pretty cheap, definitely worth a $10 spend for a trial balloon of a 50 count (I think that's what I got... A 50 count for $8 at target). I have a pretty good supply of Huggies at the moment, but I'm going to give these luvs a chance on a day we're slumming at home to see what happens when he poops. I may end up buying more and just being sure to use them when he is at the upper end of the recommended weight. If that's the trick for us to be able to use them, I'll gladly switch, pee indicator line be damned.
I have a sensitive little fella, so since he was perfect in pampers in the NICU and responded poorly to huggies wipes, we decided not to tempt fate with other brands of diapers. We use pampers swaddlers diapers and seventh generation baby wipes.
I got a big box of Kirkland brand (Costco) from my MIL and those seem to be working out well..and I find that a lot of the store brands (PC, rexall) are actually working out better than pampers or buggies

Yeah I learned the real hard way that baby dry are smaller when I bought 136 of them ....... And hes almost grown out of size 2
