I'm looking into getting a stethoscope app to hear my baby's heart beat on my phone and since they aren't free apps I can't get them both. does anyone have experience with either one?
I don't believe there is any way an app could measure your baby's heartbeat with any accuracy unless you have some special attachment on your phone. It seems like it wouldn't be much more effective that someone putting their ear to your belly to listen. I looked at reviews on both apps and it seems like the babyscope app got some good reviews, but I am still a skeptic. I could be wrong, but I would just spend the $15 on a fetoscope which is more reliable since it is actual medical equipment: https://www.amazon.com/MABIS-Fetal-Stethoscope-Fetoscope-Inches/dp/B001CCGY64/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1444744877&sr=8-1&keywords=fetoscope
A fetoscope is almost impossible to use on yourself. It's almost impossible to use on someone else, especially if you don't know what you're looking for. I've used one several times at work (for practice) and it's not easy. I'm very skeptical of these apps as well, though. I would never waste my money on something like that. I'd buy a regular doppler off ebay if I was going to go this route.
Didn't work for me at all! Get a cheap 25 dollar doppler.
Totally agree. I have the Angel Sounds Doppler and it works great. One of my favorite things to do at the end of a long day. That heartbeat lulls me right to sleep!
I used Babyscope and heard the heart beat after a bit of trying. it only works in airplane mode so radation isn't a problem. I like it better then the doppler because you can share the recording of the beat. its not for actually keeping track of the baby, just for fun
That is cool that it worked though, I would have thought it would have been one of those frustrating things that ends in tears lol.
Re: "my baby's beat" or "babyscope"?
Good luck!
