confused on what you're looking for here. What brand? What to put in it? General feelings? I find them non-offensive and generally non-threatening to my everyday happiness level.
OK sorry couldn't help myself. Diapers, wipes, burp cloth, extra change of clothing, diaper cream, extra hats/socks for winter months, extra swaddle (basically any replacement item for what LO would puke/poop/pee on. If BFing I always had my cover too. If bottle feeding then bottles and some formula. Maybe a pacifier
Can i ask why you are stressing about this now? Wouldn't this be for after baby is due and you are taking your first outing? For me that is months down the track. Bigger fish to fry in the meantime. I haven't even packed hospital bag... Unless that is what you meant?
If you mean for the hospital, I packed his diaper bag with two outfits, NB & 0-3(just in case), a blanket I like, soap I would want to wash him with and a super small stuffed animal that left was with my husband when he was born premature when his mom and dad couldn't be there. Everyday stuff a pp totally covered. I would add, keeping diapers in the car is never a bad idea too.
Im putting in 5 pairs of clothes with matching mittens ,beanies ,socks and undershirt. Pacifiers , wipes, diapers , burp clothes that's what I have for now!

Edit: spelling
All of this plus an extra outfit for me and DH in case we get pooped/puked on.
So I'm a FTM, so I don't have anything to add that PPs haven't already touched on. So I just thought I'd share my diaper bag struggle. My husband largely packed up our diaper bag, and he seems to think EVERYTHING needs to be in there. Like, he put our little bag with fingernail clippers, nail files, nose sucker, thermometer, etc in there. All of the pacifiers we own. Basically if it was a small thing he could stick in there it was going in the diaper bag. Which I suppose could come in handy, except I'd rather have some of those things easily accessible for when we are at home, aka a vast majority of the time haha.

I'd clean that sucker out and redo it. Lord forbid someone takes or you lose your diaper bag somewhere. You don't need a billion pacis or all the baby care stuff in there on a day to day basis.
My boyfriend and I are probably getting our own diaper bags. He insists on tactical (barf) and I insist on functional.

Oh yeah, that's part of my plan for this week while he is gone. And he will likely never even notice. The funny thing is, we actually do have our own diaper bags because I wanted something a bit more feminine and he wasn't about that, haha. But since "he doesn't even know if he will ever take him anywhere by himself" his diaper bag sits empty at this point.
Besides the diaper bag I found it super helpful to keep extra diapers, wipes and an outfit in the car. More that once I forgot to restock the diaper bag before leaving the house. DS might of come home in just a blanket once after a blowout.
