Waking at 3 am??

Re: Waking at 3 am??

  • Not 3 am for me, but 5am. Baby starts moving and popping and kicking up a storm around 5 and I find it hard to get back to sleep. It's annoying during the week when I have to get up for work at 6. It's even more annoying on the weekend when I just want all the sleep. I get mad with DH because he is sleeping soundly. Lol

  • I go to bed around 9, I get up to pee at 11, 1ish, 3ish, 5ish, and then get up for work at 5:40. It's pretty crazy but I always fall right back to sleep so it's not too bad. I had more insomnia in the beginning but if I'm particularily anxious it's much worse and I take a unisom.
  • I totally do the same thing. Most nights I wake up, go to the bathroom, drink water, putz around for a few minutes then I'm able to go back to sleep. The other night I woke up at 230 and couldn't fall back asleep. My husband woke up at 4am to see me doing yoga and stretching moves in our living room. Lol Glad to hear I'm not alone!
  • Congratulations ladies! Your being put on your babies nursing schedule, nursing or not. I can't believe no one has mentioned this, lol. These are the exact times I had to wake due have the night to nurse my dd. I'm sahm and I nursed on demand. When is was pregnant I had not a clue why I was waking all hours of the night. And when I had her it clicked. Just like Braxton hicks your body is gearing up to get through those 3am nursing sessions. I wish I had slept more before I was pregnant.
  • I'm always up at around 3 am. However, I find that on the days I go to the chiropractor and get adjusted..those are the days I sleep the best.
