FFFC - The temp we hired to cover me while I'm on leave starts on Monday. Even though everyone has assured me that I definitely have a job to come back to & not to worry, I kind of hope the temp sucks just a little bit so they don't get any ideas about keeping her.

I feel the same way. I told everyone that they are in no way to like her more than me!

Apparently, my work is just going to float a couple of people over from other areas a couple of days a week while I'm gone. That makes me incredibly nervous, considering two of the people who work exclusively doing what I do made errors just this week that left me wondering how in the hell you could do that on accident... I'm not worried about being replaced. I'm worried about having to field phone calls asking how to fix xyz that happened while I was away.
Update on the cleaning. DH went to the bathroom for 30 minutes while I was on my hand and knees scrubbing our God awful kitchen floor that doesn't look clean no matter what I do (who puts white linoleum in a kitchen?!?!?)... He then comes out complaining about how he hates his system and then stands there playing clash of clans on his phone while I continue to scrub the floor. He asks if I'm alright and I tell him of course I'm not, I hate this floor (and the only reason I'm putting any effort into it is because his mom is a cleanliness nazi), then he continues to stand there and play on his phone. I finally told him to please stop playing clash of clans and help me clean and he goes "sorry - I just didn't think it would take me 30 minutes to go to the bathroom." Well neither did I but you had all that time to play your stupid game. Now help me - it's your family that's coming.
Now he's moping because I snapped at him. Makes me want to snap at him again. But I hurt too much from cleaning.
ETA sorry for the AW rant... Just needed to vent before I went off on DH again and made things worse.
I walked to the store today to get some pregnancy safe cold medicine, totally forgot it and bought something else...then went to McDonald's for lunch. After lunch, I remembered why I had gone to the store in the first place, and went back since it was on the way home anyway. Remembered to buy the medicine, and got suckered into some Halloween candy that was on display next to the cashier.
Confession is that over 3/4 of the container is already gone, and it was a 4 flavour variety pack that was almost half a kg to start with. :-\"

In my experience, temps all kind of suck. We've had two in my office in recent months, one to cover my coworker who went on maternity during the summer, and another to fill in while they look to replace my old position (I took a promotion in September). They are/were both ok, but sucked enough not to want to hire either permanently.
I started wrapping gifts for Xmas. (Yes I know it's October) & I always put From Julian (my 3yr old) just realized I have to put from him & baby so I have to redo the few gifts I did & i don't want to put from Julian & Andrew and at the last minute we change baby's name. Agh.
