FFFC 10/09

1)  I've been to work for 45 minutes this morning and I already feel like I've been here way too long.  I just want to go home and sleep and work on nursery stuff and not wear a bra, real pants, or shoes.

2)  I'm an idiot and completely overstuffed this weekend with things to do and people to see.  My MIL is throwing me a shower this weekend which is awesome and I'm very grateful.  However I broke my rule of not allowing anyone to stay over at my house so that the baby's god parents could attend more easily.  A very close friend of ours is unable to attend and wanted to do something nice for us so he asked if he could come over tonight and make dinner, which is incredibly sweet but also time consuming and he likes to stay up late talking and drinking and I can't hang at this point so I will feel awkward either trying to stay awake or excusing myself to go to sleep before he leaves.  Then I agreed to have a friend of my SD's spend the night Sunday night since the girls have Sunday off of school.  This will mean that DD will either be left out or will need to also invite a friend over.  This is on top of taking SD to orchestra practice Saturday morning and violin lessons on Sunday at our house with the violin teacher's 1yr old (who is adorable and I love) to entertain.  DD has guitar lessons at the same time as SD's violin lessons.  It's just a very very packed weekend and I will need to clean up the house after each group of guests and put away shower stuff.

If there's something strange underneath the hood.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  If there's something weird and it don't look good.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  Immediately.  If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor.  It's for your health and your child's.

  • We're doing pumpkins this weekend witch I'm great full for but the thought of the mess my boys will make is already making me tired.
  • Holy stuffed weekend. I can't imagine what your planner looks like or how you remember all of that.

I'm currently avoiding my housework duties by binge watching The Property Brothers. Why them? They're hot. I'm sure I'll have a juicier confession later.
Here's my confession: At my previous job, Jonathan Scott of Property Brothers fame came in to meet with my boss for PR assistance with a specific event. I didn't know who he was and I didn't care.

OMG. I have such a crush on Jonathan Scott!! But I would not have known who he was either prior to a year ago (I became obsessed with real estate shows when we started house hunting last winter).
  • definitely drinking a grande white mocha from starbucks this morning and not feeling bad about it in the slightest

feeling like a terrible friend because my girlfriends bachelorette party is this weekend and I'm already dreading being DD, being exhausted, and having ankles the size of anvils by the time the night is over.  we're meeting for breakfast at 9, winery tour at 10:30, picnic at the winery after the tour, pedicures at 1:30, painting with a twist at 4, snacks/dinner at her friends house around 630, and then off to a dueling piano bar around 9.  the pedicure is about the only thing i'm looking forward to.  i won't be a debbie downer at all because i want her to have fun, but woof... tomorrow and the whole next week (leading up to her wedding on the 16th) can't go by fast enough!  my nesting skills have been slacking and i have no much stuff to do for my baby's nursery, its unreal!
  • I read so much about how people watch birth videos of natural births and I never see anything about C-sections, we scheduled my second one on tuesday and I got really curious, so I got on youtube lastnight and watched a c- section procedure with my boyfriend. It was a "why did you make me watch this even tho I was the one that had you watch it with me" moment. I am so glad I was not curious the first time and have already experienced it once before.
  • Let me preface this by saying I by no means want my baby boy to come early; however, I was on bed rest with both my girls and they were both born at 36 weeks. I am currently on bed rest with this little one and already 3 cm dilated (more than I ever was while on bed rest with my girls) at almost 35 weeks. So, chances are he will be born around 36 weeks as well. Now for my FFFC...If I was further along, I wish he would be born this weekend. Not becuase I am ready to meet him or I feel prepared at all, but because my In-laws are going to be out of town this weekend and it would be nice to not have to deal with their drama while in the hospital having a baby. They managed to make my DD2's birth all about them. Since we had to plan ahead to get DD1 to my parents, I ended up going to the hospital a little early and knew that DD2 would not be born until early the next morning. I asked for all my family to stay home and sleep that night. They could come see her in the morning after she was here. My in-laws were so upset by this that they came and slept at the hospital anyway which really pissed me off. Sure enough, DD2 was not born until almost 9am the next morning. Then, I had to listen to DH's parents complain about not getting any sleep when I finally allowed them to come see her. I told you to stay home and sleep! It is not my fault that you did not get any sleep and the last thing I want is to hear you complain about it! Sorry, this became a really long rant...

I've seen him on TV, but if I saw him in person I'd probably not quite recognize him and just think he was an above average looking guy. Lol.

    @VexedMommy & @lindenmr ^:)^

I don't have a confession...yet..but if I keep bumping instead of cleaning this room or painting the bathroom ceiling I will. It will focus on my intense laziness.
  • Confessions 2 & 3:
2 - I just got a toasted graham latte and it's changing my world.
3 - I probably won't be meeting any of my dietary goals today. Between the sugar in this latte and muffin and the fat I'll consume at BWW tonight, I'm doomed. Oh well, won't be the first time. I did have an apple this morning if that counts for anything.

I'd be taking a nap at the friend's house. If they think someone that's due next month can do all that without a nap and without complaining, they're all insane.

On the Property Bros - SO works in construction/beautification now as a manager and since this time last year we've been HOOKED on reno shows. I'm also hooked on The Vanilla Ice Project (way better than it sounds, although his style choices are... questionable to say the least sometimes) and Flip or Flop but we watch that those together.  I keep hoping to get some useful DIY ideas for the nursery, but I'm coming up blank. The Property Bros just has a good set up and isn't boring for the most part. Plus, Jonathan is oddly dreamy.

I bought my husband a new game so he can distract himself when he gets home so I can take a nap.. And I also got a gift card from work for outback so I'm not cooking.. We are just gonna eat out and I'll just make sure I don't eat stuff I'm not suppose to.. I'm just not feeling like doing anything today..

I ran into someone I went to HS with, she asked how my DD was, I told her great & excited to be a big sister, she looks me up and down and goes "Oh! You're pregnant?!"

I cried the whole damn way home. I'm a bigger lady but dammit, I thought the bump was obvious. I don't want to go out into public again.

@lakesideknitter Toasted graham lattes are my jam right now! I can't wait to be able to have more than one a day!

My confession is I went to grab the last few things I need for the nursery and I saw some shirts on sale and I bought two. Literally nothing is fitting me right now. And yesterday I bent down and split one of the only three pairs of pants that actually fit me. Is it Nov 6th yet?! :|

*edit because apparently I can't spell pants today.
  • @BowWowBowie - sorry. :( She was probably just trying to be an asshole. No one with any amount of tact would say it like that if she genuinely couldn't tell.

    Pregnancy Ticker

So, my husband is going to be gone Tuesday through Thursday next week, and while a big part of me is stressed I'll go into labor or something while he is gone, I'm also kind of excited. For two reasons, 1) I can run around and get things done that need done (we share a vehicle that he takes to work so it can be tricky) and 2) I can eat whatever I want and not worry about this new healthy eating thing we are doing
One of my favorite things when bf is gone is complete control of the TV/Netflix.  I can watch whatever sappy or campy crap that I want without any complaints.

  • I had popcorn for lunch and so did DD2.
  • It's DH's birthday this weekend so his family is coming down to celebrate. I honestly hate hosting in general but at least I can use it as an excuse to clean since I've been way too lazy to do any of that in the last several weeks (also DH has the day off so he gets to help clean).
Also I went swimming this morning and told myself I would swim more laps to burn more calories since I know I'll eat lots of junk food this weekend (again thanks to DH's birthday)... Once I got to my usual stopping point I decided to screw it - I'm pregnant. No one will care.
  • No confessions for me other than, I just want a GD candy bar!!! My glucose levels are so regulated at this point, I could sneak one in and noone would know(my levels always fall between 90-110 post meal and fasting is uaually around 80). Since I'm on bedrest, I can't just go to the gift shop and get one. I would have to be escorted by the transport team and they frown upon diabetics eating candy. My family refuse to bring me one because they think "it's best to just go without". I am totally going to binge when I get home...

It's good to hear from you!  I've been wondering how you and Maddie have been doing.  BTW, you've got a PM.

Where are you? We can task force a way to get you the GD candy bar. It's kind of BS no one will help you out what with all you've been going through.
