My little guy is just over 5 weeks old and we've been putting him to bed for the night between 10-10:30. (He'll sleep 5-7 hours straight, then another 2-3 hours after getting up for a feed ... yes, I know I'm very lucky and feel for you mamas who are struggling for sleep still!).
If your baby is sleeping well at night, what time have you been putting him/her down for the night? I'm torn between keeping this bedtime for now until I go back to work at 12 weeks, or putting him to bed earlier now (which would mean waking up earlier and I'm not a morning person!). He gets pretty fussy at night between 8-10 p.m., which makes me think maybe I should be putting him to bed earlier.
Thank you!
Re: What time do you put your baby to bed?
I put baby down around 6-6:30 for a nap when we finish supper. Lights are dimmer then too (just a lamp and maybe tv). After my toddler goes to bed and I tidy up and get things ready for baby for night, baby wakes and feeds a couple more times while I read, usually 2 bum changes and 2-3 feeds, then goes to sleep in my (dark) room around 10:30pm and sleeps a 4-6h stretch. I can usually get her to do 2 shorter stretches after it, so I get decent sleep, and there's time for me and DD1 to get up and dressed before baby wakes for the morning. We're only at 3.5 weeks though, and it's been like this for 2 weeks, so I'm sure it'll all switch up soon haha.
I'm sticking to this and hope he does too for when I go back to work. I'm generally useless after 7.
