2. We got married in December and had a brunch wedding complete with adorable brunch food like donut holes with shots of milk and pancakes on a stick for cocktail hour. Our colors were ivory, gray, and gold. I loooooved our wedding and love to stare at pictures of it.
3. I love Scandal and Blacklist.
4. Banana Republic, J.Crew, Talbot's, Ann Taylor. I have to wear a lot of suits so my options are limited.
5. CHRISTMAS! I love it. I am one of those people that doesn't mind Christmas decor in October.
1. We met when we both worked at borders book store
2. We did a teeny tiny courthouse wedding with just immediate family and a dinner after. I love other peoples weddings but hate planning and couldnt see spending so much money on one day.
3.we both love the x-files we are going through the seasons now before it starts back up in january.
4. I love vintage/unique/weird stuff so i get a lot off of etsy but the gap is the only place i can find jeans i like and target always get my money one way or another lol.
5 fellow christmas lover! I squealed with excitment over the christmas lights out at target last week. I love halloween its my 2nd favorite but christmas just makes me feel so happy and warm and nostalgic lol.
1. Before I got my nursing degree, I worked as an administrative assistant at the same company where my future husband worked. Our jobs required some email communication - but it blossomed into more. 6 years later, I work as a Registered Nurse and he is still at the same company in a management position. 2. Pretty simple - Vegas, baby! We went in December (off season), got married at The Little White Chapel, and spent the weekend eating fancy dinners, enjoying shows, and dipping our toes in some gambling. We didn't tell anyone we were doing it, and it felt like a secret, special time I got to spend with my best friend. 3. First off, I watch too much TV... But if I had to pick a show other than the lineup on HGTV, I would pick Modern Family. Always makes me laugh 4. I get my clothes from Nordstrom and Forever 21. I tend to splurge on denim and a few staple pieces, and be cheap with tops and cute dresses. 5. I absolutely love Thanksgiving. We don't live near family, but family always comes to San Diego for my turkey. I love the anticipation of cooking a big meal, enjoying the fall scents and drinks, and spending the day with family. It's my favorite by far

1. We met in the 10th grade. He was my first boyfriend and we quickly fell in love and have been together ever since. This December we will celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary!
2. We got married on December 18, 2010. Our ceremony was held in a historic barn and we had the reception in a cute house on the property. Our colors were silver and dark teal. As for unique, we threw fake snow down along with our rose petals as we walked down the aisle. It was beautiful!
3. What is your favorite TV show? I love M*A*S*H!
4. Where do you shop for clothes? Hmm... Old Navy, New York and Company, and Target? lol I'm cheap.
5. Favorite holiday? Pascha or Christmas. It's a close tie. :P
1. We met at work. I was in the consulting section while he was in the teaching section; it was all very scandalous, haha!
2. We got married in early August, next to the ocean in my hometown in Alaska. I went with seaglass blue and green for our colors and everything turned out beautiful. It was pouring ran for days before the wedding, until 30 minutes before the ceremony, when it stopped and turned out to be a gorgeous day!
3. I recently discovered The Office so I've been watching that like crazy....but I will always have a special ove for Buffy (I know, I know, I can't help it).
4. I actually am not a fan of shopping for clothes, so once I find a place (like jeans for JCPenny's) I usually stick with it.
5. I love me some Christmas, mainly because it means I get to see all my family.
1. We met through mutual friends. We actually "met" at a superbowl party two years earlier, but neither of us remembered the other being there. Oops!
2. We got married in the spring at a loft-style event space. It was in an urban area but had a beautiful courtyard with trees behind it where we had the ceremony and cocktail hour. I was so afraid it would rain, but it held off until the very end of cocktail hour! The inside of the venue was a rustic loft space, very cool and non-traditional (although quite popular around here). Our colors were just neutral (blush, beige, gray, white) and metallics (silver and gold). It was amazing, but I wouldn't do all of the planning again for a million dollars!
3. Hard to pick one favorite TV show, I have a few that I could (and do) watch over and over ... The Office, Parks & Rec, Arrested Development, 30 Rock
4. Lately I have been shopping with Stitch Fix, and I'm loving it so far! I usually shop at TJ Maxx or Nordstrom Rack... but I'm incredibly indecisive so that makes it tough lol. I also loooove J. Crew Factory.
5. Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday. I love all of the traditions, getting to see family, and decorating the house is my favorite thing ever! This will be our first year living in the house just the two of us, so I'm excited to go crazy with the xmas decor!
Also.... I used to work at Borders too! I was a barista in the coffee shop. I miss that place!
2. We got married last May (2014). Had a Scottish wedding with kilts and all! We did some of the traditional Scottish/Irish things like hand fasting instead of a candle and he did the draping of the tartan. Our colors were Black Watch (black, navy blue and dark green). It was absolutely perfect. His college roommate is still one of our best friends and he was in our wedding party.
3. Archer is one of my favorite shows.
4. Most of my wardrobe is from either Old Navy or the Limited.
5. Christmas is def my favorite holiday. Not a fan of Winter though.
1. How did you meet your SO? We met in kindgergarten. We started dating our senior year after being best friends through school. 2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? We got married December 27, 2014. Our colors were blush pink and navy with gold accents. We ended up having beautiful weather that day. One of the most special moments to me was my brothers giving me away. 3. What is your favorite TV show? I watch too much TV, lol. I love Law and Order: SVU and Criminal Minds, Scandal, Walking Dead. I'm sure there are more. 4. Where do you shop for clothes? I try to always hit TJMaxx first to see if I can find something cheaper first. My favorite is LOFT and Dillards. 5. Favorite holiday? I love everything about Christmas! I love decorating and the smells and seeing family and really just the over all good feeling everyone has!
1. We met at a party my first semester at university.
2. We got married at City Hall with only two friends present. My husbands job was sending him to work in the US, and we suddenly realized we would have to marry for me to be able to go with him. Got married as quick as possible, but it was still a beautiful experience. :-)
3. Modern Family
4. I love the Scandinavian brands, especially Filippa K and Tiger of Sweden. But I mostly shop at H&M and Zara...
2. We planned a wedding for two years and finally gave up after deciding we hated everything about it. We eloped last minute with no one there but us and never regretted it for a second.
3. Right now I've been binging on Empire. I also love the Office, but who doesn't?
4. I'm in the fashion/beauty industry so I sort of shop everywhere. I do a lot of Nasty Gal and Reformation lately.
5. HALLOWEEEEEEEEN. You guys can have your Christmas! I would give up pretty much any other major holiday for another Halloween.
1. How did you meet your SO? We met on eHarmony. Lol. I invited him to a 3rd of July BBQ my mom was having at her boyfriend's house on the river in the very tiny town I grew up in. The town was doing their fireworks that day and the whole street turns into a big BBQ party. He actually came and met my crazy mom on our first date. LOL. He still stuck around so that was a good start. Also, having fireworks on your first date and your first kiss usually always works out.. LOL. I was born and raised in the pacific northwest, and he was born in Texas, raised between there and Mississippi. He was in the Navy for 10 years, and for his last assignment he took a recruiting job in North Bend, Oregon (crappy, crappy town about an hour south along the coast from the small town I grew up in.) He hated it and couldn't wait for it to be over... but while he was there he met me. And talked me into (ok, he didn't have to talk hard) moving back to Texas with him when he separated from the Navy about a year and a half after we started dating. His friend (who was the other recruiter with him in the small office they were in and has kept in touch and came to our wedding!) always jokes that North Bend, Oregon may have sucked but you got a pretty good souvenir out of it. :P
2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? Oh! Yay! I'll share a couple wedding pics with you. We just got married a little over 6 months ago in March. I was going for a Spring wedding, but ended up having a late Winter wedding instead, I guess. Lol. Something special is our wedding date is a reversal of numbers from our first date anniversary. We met on July 3 (7/3) and our wedding was on March 7 (3/7). Our colors were navy blue with raspberry and blush pink and we had a rustic Texas hill country venue. Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs, TX. I'll attach pictures at the end of this...
3. What is your favorite TV show? I'm terrible at picking favorites, so here are a few of my favorites: Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Teen Mom, Bachelor/ette, NASHVILLE!, Grey's Anatomy and I just started watching the new Blood and Oil show and so far the pilot was addicting, so we'll see how the rest pans out... Also, Empire is another good one. Any horrible "reality" shows I'm usually addicted to... guilty pleasures. LOL.
4. Where do you shop for clothes? Ah... American Eagle and Target are big ones. Old Navy too. I'm cheap and a total basic bitch so wherever there's a sale.
5. Favorite holiday? THANKSGIVING. Omg. Fat kid in heaven.
1. How did you meet your SO? eHarmony!! Met for dinner, then decided to go to a different spot for dessert, then a different spot for coffee...we didn't want the night to end.
2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? We are getting married in about 6 weeks!!
3. What is your favorite TV show? We love watching Survivor, World's Wildest Police Videos and Seinfeld together. I love Modern Family (FI doesn't really watch this one).
4. Where do you shop for clothes? Gap, Macy's, Limited, Nordstrom Rack, Lucky Jeans. I usually shop online, and hunt for coupon codes.
5. Favorite holiday? Thanksgiving!! I love going home and spending time with family.
1. How did you meet your SO? We met at a bar between mutual friends. Hit it off instantly. Went on our first real "date" a couple days later, which was a hike
2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? Just got married last week! It was in a barn. Ceremony was outside. Colors were primarily Navy and gold with a few fall accents here and there
3. What is your favorite TV show? Friends! Also, departures. Great travel show on Netflix
4. Where do you shop for clothes? Kind of everywhere... looking for new shops.. I'm in that in between age where I feel too old for some shops and too young for others
I love reading this post. It's great getting to know everyone.
1. How did you meet your SO? We had mutual friends and were at several events before we actually met each other. My husband and another guy asked me to date them at the same time. I turned down my husband! We remained friends, and after we both went through failed relationships, we decided that we should give it a go! (He claims he waited the whole time, knowing I would change my mind.) 2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? We got married in March in Wisconsin, so it was VERY wintery. In fact, we had a snowstorm the night before. Our colors were dark grey and hot pink. We didn't really have a theme, but went for things we love and very DIY - Dum Dum ball center pieces, paper bouquets made out of etiquette books, and birds everywhere as I have always been obsessed with them.
One unique thing is that I proposed to my husband. I made him an adventure book, like the move UP and gave it to him by the river. The last page was a proposal. 3. What is your favorite TV show? I'm torn on this one because I am a Netflix Addict. Right now it's Downton, Call the Midwife, and Once Upon a Time 4. Where do you shop for clothes? Old Navy, Maurices, and H&M 5. Favorite holiday? Easter - I love that it's a holiday about new life.
1. How did you meet your SO? University; in a class of 650 1st year psych students. We were put in the same room for our final exam.
2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? We were married in January in the dead of winter. We had a perfect, snowy day. Big chunky flakes fell during our photos and it was about -15. Perfect. Our colors were neutrals: ivories, grays, mostly. We intended to use some eggplant purples too but it just disappeared halfway through planning. Our venue was an eco-resort in the forest, with little guest cabins and a gorgeous lodge feel to it. We had a small wedding (about 60 people) and it was an absolutely beautiful day.
3. What is your favorite TV show? I don't know that I have an absolute favorite, but here are some of my go-to series: Friends, Sex and the City, Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, Suits, Breaking Bad, etc. I love a good series!
4. Where do you shop for clothes? I don't clothes shop often as we live in a small town and have to drive out to do it or do it online. I'll pretty much go into any store and check things out. I don't have a go to place. I do like getting my jeans at the Gap as I get a good fit there.
1) We grew up in the same small town our whole lives, but never met. Somehow became friends on Facebook, started chatting, met for a movie, and the rest is history.
2) We were married in May 2014 in my husband's small country church and then had our reception at a historic community home in our town. Our colors were coral and navy.
3.) I watch too much TV. I love Grey's Anatomy, How To Get Away With Murder, Criminal Minds. I am also into some new tv shows Blood and Oil, Quantico, and Scream Queens. Scream Queens is cheesy, but it is funny at the same time. Also love The Vampire Diaries on The CW and The Walking Dead.
1. Blind date set up by his mom and a college friend's mom.
2. We had a totally nontraditional traditional wedding. Urban church that had been converted from a bar. One bridesmaid and three groomsmen. Reception in a brewery. No grand entrance, first dances, tosses, toasts, cake cutting, etc. We just basically had a really expensive kick ass party.
3. We don't have cable so I mostly stick with what I can find on Netflix/Amazon Prime. Lots of PBS Masterpiece and BBC stuff, plus Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Orange is the New Black, Narcos, etc.
4. I have to wear business professional to work so mostly Nordstrom and J. Crew during the week and Old Navy on the weekends.
2. We got married in June 2011 in downtown Philadelphia. Colors were black, white and light pink. We had a grand entrance with sparklers going off next to us. I wish I could do it all over again!
3. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Breaking Bad, Parks & Recreation
Hi all! I haven't seen a GTKY in a couple days so here goes nothing.
1. How did you meet your SO? I met my DH at a house party my sister threw behind my parents back. He was invited by a friend and flirted with me the whole night. Gosh, we were so young then. 2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? We will be married 5 years in November. We married on black friday right after thanks giving. Our colors were red to match DH's dress blues (marines). My husband and I had a small wedding, 22 people including us. I was 21 and he was 23 at the time. We had found out he was deploying for afghanistan and would be gone for our original wedding date. So we rushed to get married because we were tired of waiting. 3. What is your favorite TV show? Walking Dead American Horror Story Once Upon a Time 4. Where do you shop for clothes? TJmax mostly( or thrifting). I want to go to Target more.. but they are always packed and I hate that. 5. Favorite holiday? Xmas is my favorite, and thanksgiving is DH's favorite. Although it has become very stressful with the traveling.
Hi! I'm new here. Have been posting a bit on TTGP and decided to join in here as well. It's nice to get to know a bit about all of you
1. How did you meet your SO? We met when we were 20. I had a summer job working in a lab and he came from France to do an internship in the same lab. 2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique?
We got married in four years ago in France during the summer. We rented a beautiful chateau and had a ceremony on the lawn, hors d'oeuvres on the terrace, and dinner/dancing inside. We didn't have colours exactly, but we had tons of floral arrangements in various shades of pink, orange, yellow, some red. Lots of candles and fairy lights in the evening. The best part about our wedding was the food (it was delicious) and the fireworks show (I love fireworks so much lol)! It was amazing, and the party lasted until 6am haha
3. What is your favorite TV show?
I think Downton Abbey might be my favourite! Also love American Horror Story and the documentary series Mayday.
4. Where do you shop for clothes?
Usually J. Crew, Banana Republic, Aritzia, sometimes Top Shop.
1. We met at work. We were both first year teachers fresh out of college.
2. We had a summer wedding, and were married at 10 AM because the church lacked air conditioning. After the reception, we went to a sporting event in wedding attire. His vest matched a team color!
3. My favorite show is Walking Dead. I'm bummed that we cancelled cable, the gym doesn't have AMC, and Hulu doesn't seem to carry it.
4. Most of my clothes come from Target.
5. Halloween is my favorite. No pressure, just fun.

1- Long story. But ultimately we had been friends for 4 1/2 years, both toying with the idea of pursuing something with the other, but never at the same time. Until I just went up to him and asked him to ask me on a date! I also was roommates with his sister at the time, and friends with his other sister. So basically, we only needed about three dates before we knew we were getting married.
2- We got married 8 months after we started dating in March. Colors were navy blue and pink. It was threatening to snow all day, but never really did. But a lot of our guests left the reception earlier because of the impending storm. DH's brother in law did the best man speech and relived the moment I told him to ask me out to the Fresh Prince rap.
3- We cancelled cable, so it's Netflix only. I love Doctor Who. And right now we are rewatching The Office.
4- I love The Loft for dresses and Banana Republic for work clothes. But outlets only!
5- I wish I could be original here, but I'm going with Christmas. It's the only thing that makes winter worth it! Thanksgiving is a close second, though.
1. How did you meet your SO? We met at the farmers market in town. We were both at the flower vendor, and we picked out the same flower. He introduced himself, and I brought him home and made him soup! He was so nervous he squished his flowers.
2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? We were married this past summer. We had a garden wedding, and the reception in the carriage barn. The flower vendor we met at did all of our flowers at the wedding and they were amazing!
3. What is your favorite TV show? We're just starting "once upon a time" - otherwise we watch a lot of HGTV
4. Where do you shop for clothes? Thredup! It's an awesome resale site, with a ton of designer labels. Other wise, usually Loft, or Gap.
5. Favorite holiday? New Years! I love the chance to think about the past year, and now we're all grown up, it's usually the one night a year we go out and dance the night away.
i know I post irregularly but I guess I don't have that much to say. :-)
Love reading how you all met!!
1. How did you meet your SO? Through mutual friends. He saw my profile pic on Facebook and wanted to meet me. I said no but a couple years later we started talking on the phone lol
2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? Married 5 years as of July. Colors were orchid, apple green, pear green, chocolate brown and ivory. It was pear themed. The idea came from an invitation I loved.
3. What is your favorite TV show? It changes. We dropped cable (ATT and their price gouging!) so I hardly watch TV but Friends is always a favorite.
4. Where do you shop for clothes? I rarely do but I own a lot from Gap. I like simplicity.
5. Favorite holiday? CHRISTMAS!!!!
Me: 29 / Hubster: 31 Married July 2010 DC #1 Oct 2013 DC #2 EDD June 2016

1. How did you meet your SO? We met at band camp, we were in the same section (baritone) in college.
2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? This past July, colors were purple & lime green with leaves (bright green ones) as our theme. Big guest list, lots of good food & drinks. We did a handfasting, as well as a unity cocktail in lieu of candle.
3. What is your favorite TV show? We haven't ever had live TV to watch, but we love ER, Firefly, and Stargate on DVD.
4. Where do you shop for clothes? If I have money & an important quest for the perfect item: athleta.com. More often: TJMax or thrift shop. I am very hard to fit for pants, so I'll usually invest in a few really nice pairs at once, plus the thrift store for some icky cheapies for dirty work.
5. Favorite holiday? Halloween. I love giving gifts (xmas & birthdays) but I love the dual purpose of creating costumes (I sew), seeing others costumes whether store-bought or homemade, and STILL getting to give out candy as a little gift.

1. Mutual friends.
2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique? Oh! Yay! I'll share a couple wedding pics with you.
4. Where do you shop for clothes? Ah... American Eagle and Target are big ones. Old Navy too. I'm cheap and a total basic bitch so wherever there's a sale.
5. Favorite holiday? THANKSGIVING. Omg. Fat kid in heaven.

2. Not married yet, but I want a spring wedding, and a non flower bouquet, like making it out of paper, buttons or the like.
3. Doctor Who and Hogans Heroes.
4. Target, Kohles and Old Navy.
5. Another Christmas girl. I'm about to put a Christmas CD in the player to listen to.....
5. Favorite holiday? Christmas all the way!
1. How did you meet your SO? We had mutual friends and were at several events before we actually met each other. My husband and another guy asked me to date them at the same time. I turned down my husband! We remained friends, and after we both went through failed relationships, we decided that we should give it a go! (He claims he waited the whole time, knowing I would change my mind.)
3. What is your favorite TV show? I'm torn on this one because I am a Netflix Addict. Right now it's Downton, Call the Midwife, and Once Upon a Time
4. Where do you shop for clothes? Old Navy, Maurices, and H&M
5. Favorite holiday? Christmas and thanksgiving!
5. Christmas
2. We got married in June 2011 in downtown Philadelphia. Colors were black, white and light pink. We had a grand entrance with sparklers going off next to us. I wish I could do it all over again!
3. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Breaking Bad, Parks & Recreation
4. Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic
5. Christmas

Walking Dead
American Horror Story
Once Upon a Time
2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique?
3. What is your favorite TV show?
4. Where do you shop for clothes?
5. Favorite holiday? Thanksgiving, all the family... less stress

1. How did you meet your SO?
We met when we were 20. I had a summer job working in a lab and he came from France to do an internship in the same lab.
2. If you're married, tell us about your wedding. Season, colors, venue? Anything unique?
I think Downton Abbey might be my favourite! Also love American Horror Story and the documentary series Mayday.
4. Where do you shop for clothes?
5. Favorite holiday?
DD #2: EDD July 2016

3. What is your favorite TV show?
FRIENDS!!

All over. Wherever there's a good sale. Hopefully Motherhood Maternity someday soon!

Thanksgiving...like I need an excuse to pig out!
