I totally threw something out at work that I shouldn't have and I blamed it on "pregnancy brain" (one of my bosses had a baby last year and was sympathetic). Not a big deal, but it was sort of a cop out.
My FFFC is that I'm secretly jealous of all of you who are have or are planning a certain style for your children. My little guy will be dressed mostly in whatever cute clothes in good condition that I find at thrift shops.
Times are tough right now and we have to do the same thing, but no shame the babies don't know or care
My FFC is about my cousin. She texted me out of the blue yesterday giving me birthday gift ideas for her son. I didn't even ask for ideas and the gifts were expensive.
Knowing her, she has a list of stuff she wants for him and is keeping track of who's getting what. She does that at Christmastime. I understand she's a big planner but just let people get him what they want and stop being so demanding and picky about it!
With my son, I like the element of surprise and I'm thankful for people even getting him something. But that's the difference between her and I, I guess.
I feel like getting him something completely opposite of what she suggested just to be a brat. She's been on my nerves lately for a bunch of other reasons but that was the icing on the cake.
My ex-SIL used to do that. It bothered me because it was always something about $30 more than I was planning on spending and it felt like she was assigning gifts based on her perception of what each family could afford. We all did a wish list every year so there was no point in her then assigning gifts. Hers also were without prompting from me.
It's so annoying, huh? It's like, I'll ask if I want suggestions geez! And if you're going to give me ideas at least give me a variety of prices to choose from. Or how about just not dictate the damn gift at all!

I think you'll still be able to find things in the style you'll want at thrift stores, garage sales, offer up, Craigslist, etc. It just might take a little more creativity and effort compared to getting it at the store. I know I'll definitely be scoping those places out!
My FFFC is that I have body image issues. I wanted this pregnancy more than anything, and tried for a while to get pregnant. I had tons of time to research everything pregnancy related before I actually got pregnant, so I have no excuse. I'm in that kind of awkward stage between a super cute bump, and just looking like I've gained a bunch of weight only in my abdomen. Internally, I'm having some love/hate with my body right now, which I know is wrong and ridiculous.
Also, my second confession is that I keep referring to this baby as my baby, I'm pregnant, all about me, and I keep having to correct myself and say we and our (referring to H). I want to refer to it as OUR baby, and WE are having a baby, but my mind is on like an auto preset to just say I, Me, My, etc.
I hear ya. I have body image issues, too and am really struggling with gaining weight. I don't want to wish my pregnancy away but I cannot wait to start losing this weight.
I thinks it's natural to say "my baby." You are the one growing him/her. But I know what you mean.
@AdventureMama I finally checked out H&M website last night. We are having a boy and H seemed put off by the cutesy boy stuff we found locally. I ordered some pants and stuff last night and showed H what I ordered and the more hipster type stuff we can get as he grows. I was pleasantly surprised that he liked that style better. I'm hoping I can influence and dress my son in what H and I like for awhile.
My FFFC - H's Mom, two of my aunts and my Dad seem on the fence about the name we chose. The more people react to the name, the more I fall in love with it. It's not a common name I guess but it's not a youneek made up spelling either. At first I was offended but now it has turned into a good thing I think because some are realizing that they aren't in control.

Depends on what kind of coupon it is. If it's a store coupon, that's probably not a big deal. If it's a manufacturer's coupon, the store has to submit as many coupons as they scanned for reimbursement. If they scan 100 $1 off coupons and turn in 50, they only get reimbursed $50.

Back in the college days before it was a fad, I was a big couponer. You have to have a separate coupon for each item.
@Shatzegirl thank you! We love it too. Not going to be everyone's cup of tea but it's been interesting to see which family members react differently towards the name.
My confession is that even though we decided we would do a sex reveal in Nov. after our next ultrasound for the twins I kind of don't want to. Part of me is terrified to find out we're having twin girls (seriously sounds horrible, but I'll cry and not happy tears at first). The other part of me says that by Nov. we really won't have that much longer to wait.
my FFC: i'm not a vegetarian so it feels hypocritical.. but i cannot stand when people hunt wild animals then take a photo smiling next to the dead carcass. i understand they aren't just going to waste it and will be eating the meat.. but it still is very sad to see the dead animal. and obviously trophy hunting is just disgusting when they are killing endangered species. i'm talking more like deer and wild boar though. again i get it, but it's still weirds me out when they have a big ol' grin on their face next to a dead animal.

Exactly. I mean if you like hunting your own food, go for it. but i don't need to see the dead carcass freshly killed. hell, i don't even like cooked food pics lol
My FFFC: I ate a pb&j sandwich for dinner and then went and got a foot long veggie sub from subway and ate the whole thing. My stomach is very full but very happy

I agree it's sad and creepy.

When someone tells me their favorite hobby is running, I immediately try to figure out which circle of Hell they're really from.
My husbands friend is a mailman, and he told me yesterday that he runs 4 miles everyday BEFORE he goes to work... AS A MAILMAN!!! That's so incredibly insane to me! Them guys walk 7-10 miles a day, and this guy runs 4 miles before that. I'm still in shock hearing that! Needless to say, I think running is his favorite hobby. Eta words

I agree! One of my friends keeps saying she misses being pregnant and I should enjoy it since it's probably our last. Umm, how am I supposed to enjoy insomnia, round ligament pain, nausea, etc.? I mean, I'm so grateful too but I think the only thing I'll miss are the sweet baby kicks. This pregnancy has been harder on me than my first so I'm kinda over it already.
