I am in the same boat as you! 38 + 3 with no dilation but a head down baby. It was A lil discouraging for me! But glad she is head down.
Just came back from the doctor and am zero everything on my cervix at 39w1d, which is where I was last week and the week before. I think this baby is stubborn which means I'm in for it as his mother!
FTM at 38w4d. I'm not dilated, 50% effaced and anterior cervix. Baby girl is also really low, although I didn't ask for the station. I'm kinda bummed I'm not dilated because I am being induced on Sunday and if my cervix were more favorable, the odds of successful induction would be much higher.
3cm and 70% effaced at 39+6. Dr said he "doesn't think I will make it to next week's appointment, but if he's learned anything in his time in obstetrics it's that nothing's predictable" ... hoping this babe makes his/her appearance before next Wednesday, otherwise they'll be talking about scheduling an induction.
37 + 5. 1 cm dilated, 0% effaced. Doctor doesn't think I'll have her anytime soon. I was late with my first so I'm assuming this one will be the same. Oh well, gives me time to get stuff done that I have been procrastinating!
STM at 40+2, as of yesterday was 4cm dilated and 80% effaced bu still no sign of baby girl. Have been hospitalized due to sudden spike in my BP which they are bringing down with meds. LO seems perfectly content in me so they may end up discharging me tomorrow unless they induce me (in my hospital they rarely induce before 41 weeks unless there is a medical reason). Either way am hoping for one way over another because being away from DD1 for so long is heartbreaking and being in the hospital surrounded by women who are going into labor and having their babies while you aren't is beyond frustrating. Ugh. Trying to stay positive but it's getting hard due to lack of sleep.
39 weeks 2 days n I've been 2 for my past 2 appointments now. I've been having contractions for 3 days like bad ones waking me up at night but still nothing happens. But if I don't go before Tuesday night I'm being induced Wednesday morning. Fingers crossed something happens this week I'd love to sleep for a few hours. Lol
I had my 37 week appt today. 4cm 70% effaced. Doctor said she is going to check me "aggressively" not sure what that does but oh man. It's been 4 hours and my lady bits still hurt.
I'm two days shy of 38 weeks and nothing has changed in the past two weeks. He said my cervix is still in the posterior position but his head is really low.
38w+4 had to get some bloodwork done and monitoring at the hospital at today's appointment. I was checked when I got there. 3.5 cm 75%. Before I left, I was checked and sweeped at 4 cm. It didn't hurt like I was expecting and hardly any cramping yet. That was at noon. Fingers crossed we will have our lil guy soon.
at 36+1, i was checked and was at 2cm and baby was engaged and at a +1 station my doctor doesn't usually talk about effacement, usually just about the station the baby is at
37/4 1.5 cm. At my appointment last week, my cervix was closed. No contractions or anything, so I'm trying not to get too excited but I can't help it!!
My doctor checked me yesterday and I didn't like that feeling at all... I know she was working and she's done this to me before, and maybe bc we were giggling prior but it felt so weird! So I told her no more checks unless she absolutely has to and im cool not knowing unless i meed to know lol

38+ 3 days, was checked Wednesday and was not thinned and 1/2cm dilated. Was having contractions last night and today it was 1 every hour then I had 4 in a hour, went back to ob today and I am 1cm dilated and 70% thinned. Doc said to go walk so I did and know I am not really having contractions just a constant pain in my lower back and pressure down yunder
39w5d, 4cm dilated 70% effaced... SUPER READY for baby to be here. Had contractions every 30 minutes from 3-7pm and now at 11pm nothing! Hoping I wake up to some more intense contractions thru the night. fingers crossed!!
Was checked again yesterday at 37+2 and I'm 2.5 cm dilated, 90% effaced/thinned and baby is at a +2 station! Doctor joked and said we'll see if you even make it to next weekly appt
