  • ^^^ OMG same here! I know no one else cares, but it bothers me. I almost wish I could put it on a t-shirt.

  • Hi ladies! I need your help. I've lost 25 of my 35 regnant lbs. but I findyself completely exhausted when I go to spin class (only gone 3 times now).

I used to find it extremely hard because it combines push-ups and free weights while cycling at challenging speeds and resistances. Is anyone else expericing this sort of "holy shit I can't do what I used to do"? I hadn't done a class since April 1 -- and I went back September 9.

Do we actually get stronger again or is this all due to the perpetual exhaustion of new motherhood with interrupted sleep? Going tomorrow nor if at 930 and pan to be jacked up on coffee.

Would like to join your plank challenge.

How the hell will I ever be as strong as I used to be? Seems like answer is TIME?
  • @marinamarina With both kids, I felt (still feel) like I lost all upper body strength. It does get better, but it's hard. I have to keep reminding myself I had a baby, which takes a huge physical toll.

I think if you were fit before, you probably notice it more than someone who never workedout. I know my expectations are high, which makes things harder sometimes. Be kind to yourself, but that's easier said than done.
  • Thanks Sammy. I'm so blah and untuned and hating photos. I used to be fit! I think u looked and dlt better pregnant! Even 8 months pregnant. Now I look and feel like first trimester. Carrying fat pads I never had and nothing to show for it unless I'm hiding my amazing baby.

But really, holy shit is it hard to work out. My reserves are spent. Everything hurts. My back, the soles of my feet, my shiulders. I'm ready to get Botox again just to get rid of the hatchet like wrinkle between my eyes too. Not workout related but it's one more thing making me say "who's in the mirror??"
  • It's interesting, I never really started working out until sometime during this last five years of pregnancies and infancies, so I was never really "fit" like you ladies. Now that we've had our last baby I'm excited to see what kinds of things I can actually do. Like, right now I'm learning to actually properly ride a bike, which I always put off because of pregnancy. I'm pretty much just as in shape as I was five years ago, excercising just to maintain that, but now I'm excited to actually make some progress!
  • I got in a big hike with LO today. It felt so good!!! Bonus that the kid is obsessed with trees
  • Good idea! Lo does love trees!!
  • How is it October?!

Should I make another spreadsheet? Squats this time or should we stick with the core?
  • @ChardeeMacDennis Can we just add a new tab to the one you already started?

I like squats, but I will try anything. I was going to start a new thread for this month, too.
  • edited October 2015
Yes, I just added a tab for squats a few minutes ago! We can always change it but I had a few free (ish) minutes so I went ahead and did it. A new thread sounds good too.
