He was there for all of the ultrasounds with my 1st (his office was nearby). He works nearly an hr away in traffic now so I'm not going to put any pressure on him to make any ultrasound appointments this time around.
I wouldn't even want him there for the regular OB appointments. It would be pretty ridiculous for him to take 2 hrs out of his work day to watch me get weighed and fundal height checked. Lol!
I didn't have him go to the first appt with any of the pregnancies. I thought I might this time around but decided against it. They performed an ultrasound and then I felt guilty showing him the picture afterward. But he didn't seem hurt. He'll definitely be there for the anatomy scan at 20 weeks.
My husband is planning to attend every single appointment and I'm so thankful for that considering he is such a workaholic and rushes from one meeting to the other. He came with me to my first appointment at 7 weeks and just 2 days later to the ultrasound. Even keeps the ultrasound picture in his wallet. So blessed to have such a supportive man!
With DS, DH came to almost every appointment. This time, he came to the dating u/s and is planning on being at all future u/s appointments. I'll probably handle the routine check ups on my own so we can both save as much time as possible for post-delivery!
Yes... only because he wasn't allowed to with his other two kids and it's been 8 years since he last was born. He took the day off of work. It was interesting since I'm very independent. Lol. He's going to my next appointment in two weeks... but only because he begged. I'm not really used to this yet. Lol. I did however, talk him into not wearing his uniform and Glock in...
