I wish I lived within delivery range of Jimmy Johns. I don't even live in the same town as one.
I have 2 jimmy johns within 10 minutes of my house and neither of them will deliver to me! X(
WHAT?! They won't deliver to you?! That's crap. I've been wanting a deli sandwich but have been afraid to. This is baby #2 and seeing as a lot of you moms are going ahead and eating it, I think I shall do JUST that for lunch today! I'm sure one sandwich will be just fine! My first pregnancy I ate a TON of raw oysters one day at a family gathering, not knowing I was already pregnant and my boy turned out just fine!

Think it's time to start the HDBD thread this Wednesday? Some people must have legit bumbs by now.
I'm due April 2nd with #2 and am not really close to "real bump" just a lack of flat stomach. Not that others aren't getting bumpy, but I probably won't have anything to post until close to Halloween (18 weeks), so I vote waiting at least a few more weeks. Plus then there won't be a bunch of 9 week blump pictures from some of the people due at the very end of the month.
@mrstrax Very true. For some reason I was thinking people due at the beginning of the month were closer to 15 weeks (I was off). Plus I'm just anxious to see bumps!
The women in my family can be such AWs sometimes. My aunt texted me congratulating us on the baby yesterday while I was at work. By the time I left work, I had forgotten to respond. So this morning to get my attention, she sends me a text that reads "I'm dying. One month to live." It's pretty sad that I don't believe with 1 fiber of my being that she's telling the truth.
Ladies I need help picking a middle name ! :-?? Taylor _______ Edwards (girl)
@NewMommy815 There is a baby names thread and a whole board for baby names on the bump, so either of those will probably get you more responses for this.
I'm of the thought that if the first name is gender-neutral, the middle name should be more gender-specific, so I would go for a feminine middle name.

AHHHH yay yay yay. My OB office finally called and told me my hubby is NOT a CF carrier. After finding out I'm a carrier last week at our NT scan I've been staring at my phone 24/7. SO FRIGGIN HAPPY.
I just outed myself to an old high school friend, but it was for a good cause. She had a huge lot of maternity clothes she was selling in a local buy sell trade page, alot of the items were brand new or barely used for a low price, I couldn't pass it up. I asked if we could be confidential and she said her lips are zipped! I am really excited to have a few more things to wear and be comfortable. Such a pain to find decent maternity clothes where I live.
My name Ali and I have a problem. I can't just be happy with the week I'm in, each week I always have to look ahead! Why can't I just be content with my week and my assigned fruit!? #prunesareweird #iwannabealime

Soooooo, I cheated today. I took a look at my own belly with ultrasound at work. Saw my little munchkin with his/her legs crossed, then kicking around for a bit, and even bringing his/her hand to his/her mouth. Oh my! So in love.
The fruit thing is lame, they should use stuff with more standard sizes. I have never seen a lime that was that much smaller than a plum, unless you're talking about key limes.
My face wash smells like Parrot Bay and therefore makes me nauseous. I have to hold my breath when I wash my face . Bad memories of overindulging at happy hour
Holy crap, I can't believe its already time for me to turn the heat on in my house. Hubs and I held out for as long as possible but it was friggin 39 degrees this morning in upstate NY wtf!!

Ditto! It's a low of 49 today. While, I'm always hot and enjoy being cold - my husband does not. Haha

I woke up to a 64 degree living room today - but then it was in the mid 70s outside in the afternoon. It seems like failure to turn the heat on when the ac was on on Monday (low 90s outside). Dang Midwest - my house is old, let me have one month of cheap utilities before paying to heat it for 6 months!
@thaisac1 how many weeks are you? I'm mobile. One of my us techs last time around told me that they definitely see more girls than boys crossing their legs earlier on. Just a fun fact! Obviously not a certain predictor, but more reliable than silly owt.
First BFP 12/2012, MMC at 9 weeks
Second BFP 6/2013, resulted in DS, born 2/23/14 :-)
Third BFP 5/2015, natural MC at 6 weeks
Fourth BFP 8/2015, hoping for sticky little brother or sister to H!
Proud SAHM to our little monkey H.
Pro Vax, extended breasftfeeder, ring sling and stroller loving mama. I don't judge you unless you don't vaccinate!

My DD did in utero and still does This was months ago, but she sits like this in her stroller and car seat if she's in it more than 5 minutes - it's how we know she's settled in for long drives.
I reached a whole new level of either lazy or awesome today. I ordered our groceries... Online. I pick them up in the morning. Where has this been my whole life?! With a full time job, a toddler, and 1st Tri fatigue, the grocery store is the last place I want to go. And now I don't have too! Best part... It's free!

My sister has been telling me about this, but she's even lazier because she gets them delivered. I don't think they have this service where I live but it sounds awesome.

I lived in Manhattan for 7 years. Grocery delivery is a wonderful, WONDERFUL thing. I just discovered FreshDirect is in my part of NJ. One post-partum challenge solved!
@RoseShadow873@gingercatNJ well, ladies. I just picked up my first order. I think this is my new thing. Delivery? That is a bit much and they come in your house. But store pick up is awesome.
My DD (2.5) hasn't taken a nap in the past three days (two of which I have been home with her). She still needs one because she is extremely naughty and over emotional when she doesn't have one. Right now I'm the overemotional one because I feel like a fuvking failure and I have really needed a nap these past two days too.

My SIL did the delivery last time we were there because they're horrible about hungry shopping impulse buys You set a time to meet them at the door and they bring it (bagged) to your doorstep. It's on you to haul it from there. Or that's Hy-Vee's policy at least. I personally don't really see the difference between delivery and pick up. Someone else does your shopping and then you carry it from the car or from the front door. Either way, I'm super excited for it when we have 2u2 in April! X_X
I don't understand the ultrasound thing. I am getting some kind of ultrasound and will be almost 18 weeks at that one, so can't they probably check the sex at that one? The doctor said they won't check it until the ultrasound after that though, and by then I will be at least 22 weeks and that seems pretty late to find out (I'm in the US). Is there some special ultrasound they do at 18 weeks that will not show sex? I just don't see why they would not check while they were at it since it's within the window that people can find out.

When I've got a newborn and my lower parts are a wreck, you better believe I'm getting them delivered!
The hubby and I spent all night deep-cleaning and beginning to prep the nursery. The baby had me up again by 7:30, and I've spent the day deep-cleaning the apartment and eating ridiculously healthy (ALL THE PROTEIN!). Do I feel like a productive mommy? Yes. I. Do. ^-^
Edit: y'all with the cool weather are so lucky... It's been anywhere from 92 to 103 this week...

@brenlo42 ugh hang in there mama. My two and a half year old has REALLY been trying me lately... it's hard to keep my patience sometimes. Parenting a toddler is HARD!! For me, WAY harder than having a baby was. I'm sure you're doing a great job!

@roseshadow873 that's really strange. Generally they do the anatomy scan at 18-20 weeks, and while the purpose is to check organs and other developments, they will also tell you the sex if you want to know. I have never heard of them refusing to tell the sex at an 18 week ultrasound...

@brenlo42 will your DD fall asleep in the car? Lately I've just been giving DD a bubba and taking her for a car ride. I don't have the energy and she needs the nap. This way I can cruise around listening to music while she falls asleep.
We put books I'm ds's crib and a water bottle and sometimes he will play for 30 min before sleeping. But I don't care because he's quiet! Lol. If you are okay with tough love I would just put her in the crib (or bed) and she has to stay until nap is over. She may fall asleep by having to stay put and she may not but eventually she'll learn it's quiet time for mommy.
