Anyone have any "feelings" about baby's sex?

Preface: I know that "feelings" do not = knowing the sex.
I do not believe in old wive's tales, myth, legend, online sex predictions, Ramzi, ANY of that stuff.
This is strictly for fun!! I do not care if I have a boy or a girl at all! Fun only!

I always thought I'd have a feeling in one way or another what I thought my baby's sex might be when I got pregnant. My husband has a guess; my friends have guesses; but, I have had zero feelings in either direction until this week. Suddenly I start picturing the baby as a boy. It'll be fun to see if I'm right later down the road.

Anyone else have any "feelings" (that we all know may be completely wrong in the end)?

Re: Anyone have any "feelings" about baby's sex?

  • With my DD I felt positive she was a girl. This one I am sure is a boy.

  • I have had this "feeling" I'm having twins. And then my grandma had a premonition I'm having twins. I am so hoping I'm not!

With DD I always felt like she would be a girl.
  • Obviously would just be a guess but I've had a feeling since the beginning that it's a boy. After a really tough m/c in May, I'd be happy with a healthy boy or girl. We're team green so we have a long time to wait!

  • I have a slight preference towards wanting a girl but I have boy feelings at the moment.  Not sure why. All in all I will be happy as long as it is a healthy baby.
  • I do have a strong feeling it's a boy. I'm not sure if I'm being influenced by the fact that my cousins and my brother have all only had boys, but the feeling is definitely there. And I know what you mean @Jparke2 - when I picture the baby as a person, I can easily picture a girl but I've got nothing when I try to picture a boy.

I was leaning towards boy with DS and now I'm leaning towards girl! Pregnancy is completely different this time around. All I did was eat the first time and now I can't stand the site of food!

  • With DD, I felt like it was going to be a girl. A week before our ultrasound I remember saying "I feel like I already know." This time around I feel like it's going to be a boy. But that could be because I'd kind of like a boy since I have a girl. Plus, I'm much sicker than I was with DD (my mom wasn't sick with me but sick all 9 months with my little brother). So I swear I'm going to get a little terror like my brother. BUt because I think boy and am slightly leaning more towards boy it will probably be another girl, which would make my daughter extremely happy. That would be fun too. We're dying to find out!
  • I'm saying boy. Dh thinks girl. So guess one of us will be right!

  • I don't have that "feeling" yet. However I have had them with my three other babies and they have been spot on.
  • she will be a girl. because i said so :p

We are in the same boat, after a M/C in April. I had a feeling that it was a girl that we lost, and I haven't had any "feeling" one way or another for this one. DH thinks it's a boy!

  • I have a feeling it's a girl. My mother has always said I will only have girls. However, I've had two dreams that it's a boy.

  • Keep calling it "she," so definitely a girl.

  • DH thinks its a boy since there aren't many girls on his side of the family. I personally think it's a girl...no reason why, just a feeling I have. But regardless, I don't care which sex it is. Happy and healthy.
  • I don't know if this is a feeling, but when I think of this LO, I think of it as a girl. I guess I should check back in about 8 months to this thread and see if I'm correct!

Or at least 3-4 if you are going to find out!
  • I don't care either way but the consensus among people we've told is girl. I really just want a healthy, happy baby.
  • Every time I close my eyes and think about this baby, I see a girl. Only time will tell!
  • I'm sure it's a boy. I had the same feeling with my son and I was right

  • My feelings are that its a boy. DH has no feelings either way yet about this baby.

  • DF is team boy, this would be his first. I'm team girl because I have two boys. However ultimately we are both team healthy and team praying it's not twins! Lol!
  • I was pretty sure my DD was going to be a boy. This time I haven't really had a feeling one way or the other, but this pregnancy has been SO different from my first I sort of think it's a boy, and that he's going to be a holy terror (I know symptoms don't indicate sex, I am just constantly looking for a way to explain all the sickness this time around!). But clearly I'm 0 for 1, so I don't think I have the best intuition.
  • DH and I both think boy. No particular reason really... It's just gut feeling I guess. We'll see in a few months if we were right. :)
  • I would be shocked if it's a boy! I just can't picture our family with a boy. We really wanted a girl the first time but this time I really don't care too much. A girl would be great because sisters are amazing, but having one of each would be great too!

  • Im having feelings that it is a boy :)
  • The Chinese prediction chart said boy. The Ramzi Method said girl. I am determined that if I keep thinking boy it will be a boy.
  • I keep referring to the baby as he, but I think that's more out of habit because of DS. I guess I have a feeling it's another boy, but I was convinced DS was a girl so I'm not very good with this whole intuition thing...

  • I was wrong with both of my prior pregnancies. This time I keep imagining a boy therefore I'm probably having a girl!
  • From the moment I found I was pregnant with my daughter I was positive it was a girl. This time I have no clue.

  • With DD, I didn't have an inkling of a boy or girl, but with this one, as soon as I got my BFP, I've had the strongest feeling that it's a boy.

  • I have a feeling it is a girl. I also have a feeling I'm having twins, but I don't know. I'll be happy with anything. Just want it to be May!
  • With my son, I knew instantly he was a boy. I remember MH getting upset because we had already picked out a boy name, but never ended up deciding on a girl name and he was afraid we would be taking home an unnamed baby girl! But I knew, even though we were Team Green.

With this one, I am not sure if my preference is influencing my instinct. I would rather have another boy for practical reasons (hand me downs, they can share a bedroom etc). We will be finding out the sex as soon as possible, so I will let y'all know.

  • I have no idea. One day the baby is a boy, the next day she'll be a girl.

My dad always gets a 'feeling' about babies. I usually don't go in for that kind of stuff, but he hasn't been wrong yet. Guess we'll find out in 12 weeks.
  • With my first, I had a gut feeling that she was girl from very early on. This time I feel really different and so I'm thinking boy. I realize that pregnancies are different each time and it could very well be a girl, but I'm feeling boy.
  • I haven't had strong feelings either way yet. DH keeps saying girl-- which makes me constantly say "or boy" to keep things neutral for now. He thought it was a girl when I was pregnant with DS too, though, with DS I was fairly certain that he was going to be a boy.
  • With DS I just 'knew' he was a boy. My family kept fussing at me for referring to the baby as 'he' instead of 'it' before we found out. They were determined that he was a girl. With this one I'm not really sure. I catch myself saying 'he', but that might be because my only other child is a boy and I'm just used to it at this point. I keep having dreams that this one is a girl though, so who knows. I'm really impartial as long as they're healthy. DH wants all boys though and therefore thinks this one has to be a boy. He keeps saying that he's afraid of having a dainty little girly girl instead of rough and tumble boys. I told him he should have met me as a kid lol

Me too. More so just a girl but won't rule out the other suggestion just yet. I knew with my first child and was right.
  • from the beginning DH thinks it will be a girl and I think it will be a boy.... my entire family thinks it will be a girl and my step dad is wishing for twin girls... I have 7 nephews so no wonder they are all hoping for a girl
