  • I feel you. I do appreciate the effort, but I find when my husband cleans, I always have to go back after him and re-clean stuff anyway. Still, I would rather he do it, even if I still have to clean up after him.... at least I know he cares and he's trying. Nothing frustrates me more then when he sits on his ass and I am doing all the work.

  • I confess that after someone posted about it, I submitted my ultrasound pictures to the Gender Experts for a free gender prediction. EPIC FAIL. They were like "oh it's too close to call, we can't tell, but here's a just for fun guess."

Um I can do a just for fun guess by myself, thank you.

  • This is going to make me sound like a total b!tch but I hate when DH tries to do things around the house for me. The other night he cooked (his only dish is spaghetti, which I'm cool with) to "give me a night off." Now, when I cook, I also do the dishes and wipe everything down that may have gotten dirty in the process so as to leave everything nice and clean overnight. He decided to leave the food on the stove and the dishes on the coffee table (we're moving and the dining room table hasn't made it to the new place yet) and put another dirty dish in the sink. So, on my "night off" I had to do everything but cook, which is incidentally my favorite part of the process. Maybe it's because he's a vet and I'm currently active duty, but in MY kitchen things will be done my way. Dishes go where I want them, the oven and stove are cleaned to my standard, etc. I am grateful that he doesn't just come home, drink beer, and play video games, but I really prefer things done my way or not at all.
No flames AT ALL!  I hate when mine whines - "why can't I do it on my OWN timeline?"  !WTF is that?!  if dinner is done you clean up there is no made up timeline!  get shit done!  i feel the same way!  totally would rather do it all myself then clean up after someone 'cleans up!'

    Amen!!!

Also, isn't it supposed to be fall?!?! I just want one cool, dreary, weekend where I can just sit on my couch, watch TV, get snuggly, and not feel guilty about it AT ALL. I know I'll seriously regret this in a few weeks when it's freezing out, but I love fall and I'm ready for leggings, sweaters, and cozy socks!

My confession: I've been wanting to do this but didn't know how. Do they have a website or email?
How long did it take you to hear back?

Choose the option to submit for free. You just upload your ultrasound pictures. I think it took about a week to get the "results" back.

  • I've had the same Subway sandwich for the last three days for lunch and will probably do the same again today. I don't freaking care what anyone thinks...and when I get called out for it I am going to use the excuse, I am pregnant and it's the only thing that tastes good.

I get this. DH is like a tornado when he cooks. Drives me absolutely insane.

My FFFC is that I forgot to put a diaper on DD1 this morning. She peed on the floor and my dog licked it up. MOTY.
  • I kind of wish I had a pillow and blanket at work with me right now.  I just want to close my office door and crawl under my desk and take a nap.

I didn't get to eat lunch yesterday due to ridiculous meetings. On the way home I had to get gas in my car, and I was so hungry I bought a bag of the Cheetos flaming hot puffcorn.  I ate the entire bag on my 45 min drive home. Probably not a good idea to skip lunch again.

Edit: My confession certainly isn't flame free ;) but it was tasty

  • I don't know if this is a flame or an UO but I cant stand it when you can see underwear lines. I have no idea why I care but its a pet peeve of mine. It looks ridiculous to wear leggings/ yoga pants and then wear underwear that makes it look like your butt cheek is being cut in half.

    Get appropriate underwear!

The beauty of wearing yoga pants is that you don't have to wear underwear, isn't it? That's half the reason I wear them! Also, Soma makes AMAZING full-back panties that have invisible seams. You cannot see them, no matter what you're wearing. So awesome.

My confession is I never wear underwear with yoga pants. (I don't own leggings, but best believe I'll be looking for thick ones so I don't have the double-butt problem.)

It is totally fine to not wear underwear. But it is not okay to wear saggy ass huge cotton drawers and pretend like no one can seem them under your skin tight pants.

Don't even get me started on leggings you can see through....

If they're lululemon, the problem is the person wearing them, not the cheap quality of the garments

CONFESSION: I am reading the FFFC thread on the TTGP board, and it is bananas. I just popped all the popcorn.

EDIT!!!! I thought it was on May BMB, but it's on TTGP. Got my tabs confused. Apologies!

I've never not worn underwear ! True story! Victoria's Secret pink thongs for the win

Zomg I just got those yesterday (the french terry ones right?) and I want to live in them. I don't even like leggings and I love those things. I think I'm going to get another pair.

Edited to clarify: I still sympathize with other mamas with MS and with people who are seriously ill. Feeling crappy most days sucks. But I have no patience for the "I skipped breakfast"/"I ate/drank too much" sickness that's been going around.

Obviously your morning sickness is not that bad. I work from home at my own pace/timeframe and I didn't even enter my work room between Saturday and yesterday. It works for me because I can do as much or as little work as I want, but holy crap, I haven't been able to do ANYTHING beyond keeping DS alive. I finally feel human today but yeah. I basically lost 5 lb this week and had a 90 second head rush every time I lifted my head from laying in the couch.

I just mean that we have both spent enough time in an institutionalize-type setting to have an overwhelming need for things to be exactly as we feel they should be - unfortunately, we don't agree 100% on how we will do those things in our home. Big things, yes, but things like whether or not it's ok to leave clean dishes in the dishwasher for a day...not so much. And we're both clean freaks, but have different standards of clean. For example, he has been indoctrinated to make the bed every day, hospital corners and all. I need floors, especially in my kitchen, clean enough to eat off of. So when I don't make the bed his way or he doesn't use the right product to clean the floors, we quietly get annoyed with each other while knowing how stupid and stubborn we are being. I was not like this before joining the military...haha I actually used to be pretty relaxed!

ETA: or when he uses a swiffer instead of scrubbing. He's wasting time and resources because I'm just going to do it over again, so I'd rather he just didn't and let me do it the *right* (i.e. *my*)way the first time

I also hate the mommas that are sicker than they want you to believe. Like everything is sunshine and roses. Ill have a lot m ore sympathy if you are honest with me. Misery loves company and I feel like crap most days so I will sympathize.

  • @NachosAndPeaches - Sorry you've had a rough go, but you saying my morning sickness isn't bad is like me saying you're obviously not trying hard enough. You don't know my story, and I don't know yours. Get some history before you make any assumptions.

You're so very fortunate to have the opportunity to work from home! You can set your own hours, take breaks when you're not feeling well, and don't have to worry about hiding your MS from co-workers and classmates. That would be great!! For me, there is no way in hell I'm dropping out of the program I busted my ass to get into just because I'm pregnant. Toast, pb&j's, applesauce, and Zofran are my lifeline. So I muster through the day, try not to puke on patients, and come home to either lay in bed and vomit or study and vomit. I take it one day at a time because it's eventually going to get better, right?

I really do feel bad for anyone with any form of morning sickness. It's the ugly side of pregnancy most people make light of. My FFFC stemmed from the fact that several of my classmates/co-workers have been taking time off d/t hangovers or "sudden" nausea. It's frustrating. So, no, I have no sympathy for them.
  • Just saying, telling someone to suck on a lemon drop when high doses of zofran and diclegis aren't working is kinda shitty (can I say that? I'm not name calling you, I like you, just what you said felt shitty, don't wanna break tou). Maybe that works for you and other girls, but not for everyone. Talk to someone with hyperemesis and they will tell you literally nothing works. But yes people complaining about hangovers etc would piss me off too so I agree with that!

@NachosAndPeaches I think she was referring to people who AREN'T pregnant complaining of being sick with nausea, when so many of us are living with it 24/7 for weeks on end.

Eta: nevermind, didn't finish reading the exchange. Carry on :-P
