  • Yay great news! I was just reading this and hoping for a positive outcome. I'm so glad it all worked out. I think your way of telling her was perfect.

Everything looked good from what the sonagrapher said, but I haven't heard anything from my doctor. She was going to review the U/S images and follow-up. Bleeding has stopped and I'm feeling a lot better, so I guess no news from the doctor is good news. Anxious for my next appointment on Oct. 13 to see how everything is progressing. Thanks for asking!

  • I'm really sorry you are going through this. I do not have a close relationship with my mom right now and I've honestly never been close with her. Recently she expressed how she does not care for my boyfriend at all. She was upset with the way I told her I was pregnant and although she was the first of our parents to know she yelled at me accusing me of telling his family first. It was so bad my bf had to call her and ask her not to call me anymore during the pregnancy if she was going to continue to be so negative. Sadly I haven't spoken to her since. I'm 25 years old and I'm my mother's only child. To make things worst this will be my first child and my mother will not be a part of the pregnancy at all. But it's made my relationship stronger and we are each other's biggest supporters.
  • But my father said if I was to get pregnant before 25 he would disown me and my mother would follow him.

I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous. I can understand not being over the moon if your daughter gets pregnant at 16, but no one gets any say about what happens in a grown-ass woman's uterus except that woman herself.

I hope they don't follow through on that threat and if they do, at least you'll have your fiancé and his family.

I'm glad it went well with your mum, @Yogahh!
