We did one with play doh. They split into teams, one person got the word and then they had to try to make the object out of play doh whichever team guessed first won the point.

I think they did 3 or 4 baby related objects

Kinda gross, but I like the game where there's a different type of chocolate bar melted into different diapers and you have to guess the candy bar.

I recently went to a shower that did the bottle chugging contest. It was a lot of fun.

I also like the game where you freeze a small toy baby or other baby object in ice for drinks. First person whose "water breaks" wins. Its a good game if you have a lot of older people in attendance that might not enjoy games such as the bottle chugging game.

One of our games were for the dads. We blew up balloons and had the guys try to pin a cloth diaper on the balloon (baby) the fastest with out popping the balloon. Cloth diapers and baby safety pins. The guys had fun and the ladies loved it, it was actually funny to see the guys in action

One of the games played at my baby shower for my 1st were putting tiny plastic babies in a ice tray. They game was see who can get their baby out the fastest, biting the ice was not an option! I also played the melted chocolate game lol

There was "guess the baby food" game at my BFF's older sister's shower that we went to when we were 21. We were both the young, city kids venturing out to the suburbs for this. Everyone thought it was so funny that we guessed Hummus for one of them. I'll never forget that.

We didn't do this one but I've seen it. Design bibs instead of onesies for each month. Lots of people do monthly pictures of their lo, so they can use the bibs in the pics to mark which month it is!

I went to a shower once where they played "the tomato game". The mom-to-be sits in a chair with a halved tomato in her lap. Then they bring out blindfolded volunteers one at a time from another room, hold their hands to different body parts on the mom-to-be, and ask them to identify the parts (shoulder, hair, arm, etc.) After several innocent body parts, they place the hand in the ripe tomato half. You can imagine what that is supposed to feel like. The guests playing the game think the game is scored based on how many accurate guesses they make up until this moment, but the guests watching are told to score the players based on how loud they scream, with the loudest winning a prize. Most bizarre, uncomfortable game ever. Period.

Our group always tries to limit games to 2-3 total and make the shower more of a social. We always play baby bingo because it keeps everyone busy while the the mom-to-be opens presents. Other popular games are the memory game and we do an A-Z game where for each letter of the alphabet, you come up with a baby item (example: A: A&D diaper cream, B: books, C: crib). You can play like scategories and if people have the same answer then it doesn't count... Keeps everyone creative.

I'm a fan of simple games like bingos and word scrambles. I went to one shower where we had to cut yarn of the length that we think will fit around the mom to be's tummy and the winner gets a prize. *if I described that right* Also putting the frozen baby ice cubes and the one that has a floating baby in their drink says "my water broke"

Not really a game but I like the "make baby ____ a headband" where you supply the bands and flowers and what not and let people create their own.

People are so not creative. All of those game haters really hate crafts! Haha. My grandma is one of those grouchy people and complains about all games every time she goes to a shower, it's embarrassing actually

At my family's babyshowers they usually do a game where they have 4 couples and have one person sit and the other one blindfolded. The blindfolded one is handed baby food that doesn't taste so well and has to feed their partner without making a mess. Whichever couple finishes the baby food first wins. They also do one for the 21+ where they put beer into baby bottles and have couples chug the bottle. Whoever finishes first without cheating also wins.

Have everyone bring baby or childhood pictures of the mother and father. Number his/hers and judge for the cutest/most embarrassing of each. The people bringing those pictures wins.

Get a present or 2, assign each present a color, seat everyone in a circle. As gifts are opened, every time one contains that color pass the present right 2 people. The last one with it wins!

Get 10 - 15 bags with random baby items in each. Number them and line them up. Let everyone have the same amount of time to feel them. No peeking or taking notes. Have everyone sit down and write what they remember. The first one to write them all or the one to get most right in the time frame wins.

With my daughters shower my mom had 21 birthday cards and everyone filled one out and wrote a note to her. This was such a great idea because one of my grandmas is no longer with us and I know Kelsey will one day open a card from her.

One of my friends just recently had a baby shower and had games or activities that you could do throughout the shower.

There was a scrap booking station where each person got to decorate a page for the baby book which I thought was a great idea!

There was also a try baby food station and you would guess each food on a survey and the winner was announced before the gift opening.

Everyone also filled out "wishes for the baby boy" cards with a variety of questions ranging from "I hope you love...." to "I hope you are not afraid of..."

We also played bingo and basically before the gift opening everyone was given a bingo card and you filled in different items you thought the mother to be would be receiving. The first three people to get bingo were the winners.

I really enjoyed the baby shower because it was more about socializing and less about "structured game time."

My mom was thinking about doing the pocket book game - when u have s list of items and te ladies open their bags to see what they have out of the list. With the most items wins. But I am still all for real entertainment. I was thinking of hiring a magician.

My sister had everyone write messages on diapers for midnight changing and she put her them all in a cute box. I loved that! At the shower everyone was cracking themselves up and talking over what silly notes to leave on the diapers. When my daughter was born it was fun seeing what the next diaper would say during those sleepless nights

We had a coed shower and blindfolded some of the guys (my brother, my SO, and my father-in-law) and a few people from our group and I fed them baby food and they had to guess what it was.
We played baby jeopardy. 2 or 3 teams of people and you have baby related questions. You can look up the top answers on the internet. I was the hostess and SO was in charge of the board.
We put stickers/ a piece of tape on the back of everyone's shirt as they came in. Each piece had a baby related word, and you have to ask up to 3 questions per person, but they have to be yes or no answers. It was a fantastic ice breaker since we had family from many different sides and friends there that ranged from 10 months to about 80.

We had our baby shower today and played 4 games.

1. Don't say the word. Each person was given 3 clothes pegs with a baby related word on it. If they were caught saying their word, the person who caught them got to take a peg. The person with the most pegs at the end of the day won.

2. Baby bingo. It's as simple as it sounds. Draw up bingo cards with baby related words instead of numbers and call out words at random until someone calls bingo. To make it more fun we had to call out "Oh baby"

3. Finish the rhyme. I used old Mother Goose nursery rhymes to make it a bit of a challenge. People used their names as buzzers and if they finished the rhymes correctly (or close enough) they got a prize.

4. How big is the belly? Each person is given string and scissors and the opportunity to cut the string to the guessed circumference of her belly. My 8yr old god-daughter won this one today, everyone else guessed over.

We used Lindt chocolate balls for the prizes. It worked really well because they were a little bit of delicious luxury but they were actually quite cheap to buy.

I generally despise baby shower games and was reluctant to have any at our coed shower. But our friends organized a men vs. women diaper-changing relay, complete with crying baby dolls, and it was a huge hit. It was especially hilarious since neither my husband nor I had ever changed a diaper before. Good thing we got to keep the dolls for practice.

I am not one who is a big fan of baby shower games. I had 2 showers, one by my family and one by my coworkers/friends.

At my family shower they played "Don't say the word", a matching game where you had to match the mommy animal to the baby animal and a "Price is Right" game. The "Price is Right" game required guests to estimate the cost from a list of baby items that had been bought. They weren't bad games but you could tell everyone was getting tired of them by the end.

At my coworker/friends shower they played 2 games which were "Don't say the word" but instead of using clothes pins each guest got a cup full of buttons and if they said the word they were given more buttons. The theme was "Cute as a Button." The other game we played was a spin on Cards Against Humanity and was called Baby Against Humanity. The rules were the same and I served as the judge and it was hilarious to see what answer the guests came up with for the questions. I would pick the best card played and decided how many buttons they would lose and whoever had the least amount of buttons at the end won. This made the shower seem very casual and everyone had some good laughs and some of us even cried we were laughing so hard. My coworkers said it was the best baby shower they have ever attended.
