I'm usually not very bloated in the morning and then it can strike at any time lol. I have to think very carefully about what I throw on in the mornings! I'm pretty much wearing flowy tops and the loosest jeans I have every day just in case. The bloating in the middle of the day has gotten so bad for me it is sometimes painful.

I'm going through the exact same issue!!! Only 8 weeks and in the mornings looking relatively normal but by afternoon the bloating is in full swing and I have what looks like a noticeable bump. Running low on clothes quickly!
I was like that by now with my DD. This one...no bloating at all yet. I loved my Bella Band with DD. I was able to keep wearing my normal clothes that way until I could afford maternity clothes.

I hear you on the bloating. My SO thinks it's a baby bump and I don't have the heart to tell him it's just gas and slow digestion. It's impossible to determine what to wear because it CAN strike at any time midday.
I am only 4.6 weeks and have been extremely bloated this entire week. It went down some yesterday afternoon and evening but it's back again this morning. I have a feeling a Bella Band is in my near future, along with a bra that can hold my ever growing boobs. The minute I get home from work, I'm in cloth shorts or yoga pants, they are my lifesaver right now.
I haven't had as much bloating this time as I did with DD, but that hasn't stopped me from wearing yoga pants and loose fitting tops whenever possible . I will definitely embrace the maternity clothes WAY sooner than I did with my first. They're wonderful.
My jeans are usually unbuttoned by the time I leave work I also had to dig out the bras I wore last pregnancy this morning because things weren't staying in place anymore!
Oh man! The bloating! I don't remember this feeling with my first pregnancy...but yes, unfortunately, I've been sitting at work with my dress pants undone!
With DS I started wearing maternity jeans at about 5-6 weeks because I put comfort above all else. Bloat sucks! This time around I'm still wearing my regular pants but today I'm in a training and sitting for 8 hours so I went with maternity jeans again

I found out I was pregnant on a Thursday, by Monday I needed new bras. I told my husband it looked like I was wearing a pastie with a strap. It was not cute! Went up a cup size in mere days.
I'm 7 weeks and thinking about breaking out the maternity box from the attic because of the bloat. I'd rather be comfortable. Definitely earlier than I thought though!
DH said "wow, you're belly is getting round!" He's lucky I didn't throat punch him. It's BLOAT! Thanks for reminding me that I look as gross as I feel.
I've been eating some anti-inflammatory food and I feel like it's making a difference. I snack on cucumbers (one of the best AF foods out there) with a tiny spread of chive cream cheese on them. I have also been eating watermelon.
Yep. I definitely have bloat. Plus, anything digging into my stomach seems to make my nausea worse. Loose-fitting clothes or stretchy pants are helping me to stay comfortable.
Yup. I have a belly band on today. Its just so much more comfy than squeezing into jeans I can barely button! And all of my tops I have been wearing are oversized/swingy.
I'm the same way- all of my pants are starting to feel tighter because of the bloating! I got a belly band-- but do any of you know a good brand of jeans to buy that are long?! I'm 5'7 and hate when jeans look short on me! I want to go ahead and order them now so that whenever I do need them, I will have them.
@alparsons I buy a lot of maternity at Old Navy. I believe their maternity sizes come in tall if you need them. That being said, I'm 5'6'' and normally their regular pants are a little long on me.

Seconding ON. I have the opposite problem and love that ON's maternity pants/jeans almost all come in three inseam lengths.

Ugh I hate the stage. Feeling gross and looking chunky! I had the uncomfortable bloat end a week ago and now in the evenings I look like I have a bump. I need to be super careful what I wear around my family these next couple weekends!
countrygrl5533thanks for the tip on ON maternity short jeans, the short length jeans at ON are one of the only jeans I have found that are short enough for me normally, so I will definitely have to check out their maternity jeans!
Ok ladies - maybe it's because I'm fat already, but last pregnancy the belly band kept rolling up/down and was a total pain. What am I doing wrong? The one I got was from Target.
@finnybooboo I agree with you. I've tried the belly band but it gets all rolled up and uncomfortable - I spend more time adjusting it than anything. I've just been using long tanks that seem to work better to hide the fact that my pants are in buttoned. Flowy tops have been my BFF.
I really have to watch my food intake at work during the day. If I'm not wearing a flowy top and eat too much, I completely bloat out and can't hide it. On the other hand, I don't want to wear nonstop flowy tops for three months as that will be certain to raise some suspicions as well. I haven't gained any weight yet but it sure looks like I have by end of day.
I caved and ordered my first pair of maternity jeans from The Gap last week because they were having a 40% sale and let me tell you I'm so glad I did! These babies are so comfortable and I'm way more at ease in my own skin now that my pants actually fit.
I love them so much I ordered another pair in a darker wash!
I'm living in leggings. I bought two nursing tanks today and am in heaven. The built in bra is bigger than regular tanks and they're so comfy. I'm not buying any new clothes that aren't maternity/nursing.
I'm living in yoga pants and flowy tops when I'm not at work. Although that didn't help much today. I went to get a pedicure and the nail lady asked me when I'm due and if it's a boy or girl. So unexpected and pretty sure I turned bright red. Good to know my bloat blob resembles a baby bump though.
THIS! I was wearing one of my favorite pairs of jeans and I had to undo the top button. Almost all of my shirts go past my hips and are loose fitting but some of my dresses are no go's right now. I bought one maternity bra last time I was pregnant and now I feel like I need more! Are there professional looking yoga pants? And what is everyone's take on the Bella band? I'm already seeing some pros and cons.
I can't stop eating carbs which isn't helping. Urggg baby, why do you only like bread and pasta. Why can't you like a nice kale salad?? I'm not even calling mine bloat anymore. It's just straight up fat. Hope to feel better after work next week to get to the gym. Last week was a total bust.
I freaked out because I had a wedding gig and NONE of my "normal" dresses fit. So I put on a maternity dress from when I was pregnant with my son, and I had to take a picture. I have this pic of me in that dress at 6 months pregnant and I swear my belly at, what, 9 weeks is the same size! What in the world?! This bloat is outta control.
So bloated I look 6 months pregnant by end of the day! What is up with it? Glad to know I'm not alone, but feels impossible to hide it. I'm a teacher and had a parent ask if I was pregnant at open house! Mortified. In only 8 and a half weeks ! Ugh.
