Well, so much for rolling into the next round of injects. I had a feeling I'd have a cyst as I have been experiencing pain near my right ovary since late yesterday afternoon. Turns out, from last month's inject cycle, I have 5 large cysts: 2 on the left and 3 on the right. I'll be on birth control for 2 weeks before I can go back and see if they have gone down completely or enough to pick back up on injectables. I'm still amazed at the size of my right ovary on the ultrasound! If I have to move on to IVF, I can't even imagine how painful my right side will be!!
@babyexpress I'm not sure of the intricacies of it all, but it is supposed to reduce the size of the cysts. I asked her of the cysts meant I possibly did not ovulate, and she said I definitely did ovulate. I should have asked if this is why I started spotting so early, but I forgot to ask. I go back on Oct 6, which is our anniversary, so hopefully they will be gone by then and we'll have some other good news to celebrate!

@goldenkeys CONGRATS on the house!!! Wonderful news!
Just checking in this week, still in a holding pattern. I'm in a little bit of a funk this week as I will be 39 next Wednesday and really thought I would be at least pregnant by this point. This journey is so lonely and depressing at times. DH's urologist called yesterday, the only way we can proceed with our next round of IVF is to have them go in and take fresh sperm out, otherwise we have to look to donor sperm. My DH is finally on board with him getting the procedure done but he keeps complaining to me that he knows it's going to hurt....Needless to say after 2 failed IVF rounds I blew up at him about the topic of pain, between injections, sonos, retrievals and transfers, I've dealt with my fair share of pain and came through it just fine. I think he finally saw the bigger picture. So October 3rd is our next RE appointment and it looks like we will be cycling again in October.
@kmetcalfe77 Yes, it was. I responded really well to it and had ridiculous amounts of follicles. The cysts must just be some that weren't mature enough to ovulate and decided to stick around. I wonder why I just started feeling them yesterday afternoon. Thanks for the hope!

If anyone could use a small laugh today: I called my RE office to ask about a SA for DH and I was so nervous I actually mispronounced my own name. I have a Polish last name so other people do it all the time - but I couldn't believe it when it came out of my own mouth lol.
@riveridgional Oh no! I am sorry to hear that. I hope the BCP helps and you're good to go next time you go in. Figures, if it's not one thing it's something else. What a pain.
@Cupcakegal930 I am glad your husband say it the way you did and agreed to have it done! GL to you both! I hope the procedure isn't too terrible for him.

I am a little late on the check in as I started a new job and its been kind of crazy around here (I am frantically typing this as I should be getting ready for work lol). I am on CD3 after taking provera and just took my first clomid today and start dexamethasone (sp?) on cd1 so hoping this cycle works!! My ttc anxiety is really getting the best of me lately.
@babyexpress I must have misunderstood my nurse about thw purpose of the BCP pills because I did a little research on it last night. I was in more pain and hoping the BC would make it go away faster. Anyway, apparently they don't actually help to reduce the size of the cysts. The cysts will hopefully do that on their own. It will, however, prevent me from ovulating so I don't develop more. I think it should also help prevent them from getting larger. Also, if they do go down, i can jump right in so i didnt waste a while month hopi g and waiting they would be gone.
Since finding out they need to completely resolve on their own, I'm starting to get nervous and worried they want go away for a long time. Do you think it's possible I could lose an ovary? See, now my mind is jumping to worst case scenarios...

So sorry about your cyst! I wouldn't worry about losing an ovary, but still be careful if it's really large. Like, don't run any marathons or anything. I had one rupture running up the steps at work and I fell down bawling like I broke my leg or something. I have had other cyst too and they took about 2 to 3 weeks to go away. Try not to worry too much and take extra good care of yourself!
I just finished my Provera, so waiting on AF. Feel like she will be here by Saturday or Sunday and then I will start the Clomid. I'm feeling good about this because I think my FW will be while we are on our fall break (I'm a teacher and we do a weird balanced schedule where we have a week off in October). Maybe having some time off to get busy will help me not be so stressed out. I'm trying to feel super hopeful still and focus on the positive, but lately I've been a little saddened when I see new babies. I've also had to stay clear from FB this week as EVERYONE is posting pictures of their newborn. Oh well. I am resting in the hope that one day it will be my turn!
Worst gift ever: I don't know if I've ever met a gift I didn't like. I geek out over the smallest of things! I did once ask for a jewelry box (just a small one), and my ex hubs got me one of those monstrous ones that stands four feet tall. When we got divorced, I took the jewelry but left the stand!! Hope his girlfriend liked it!

Aw man. I'm praying for you that it's not ectopic. I had a similar situation with a slow rise and the emotional strain was so awful, so I hate that you're going through this. My situation wasn't ectopic though and I hope that yours isn't either.
@GoldenKeys thanks. What happened with yours? The worst part is that I'm going to Europe on Sunday and no idea what's going on. That's actually my biggest fear. I've come to terms that this pregnancy isn't working out.

I'm sorry to say that it didn't work out. The placenta sometimes take a while to realize what's going on and continues to make HCG. It was deemed a "missed miscarriage" and I ended up having to take Cytotec to get my body to cooperate. It was very sad but actually a relief for it to be over with because the emotional drama was intense.
Haven't had a chance to read through these yet... I've been out of town a few times in September and so haven't been focusing on the baby thing too much. Plus I was in the middle of my typical long cycle, and the "boring" few weeks of no activity kind of makes me forget about all the TTC stuff. Which is probably good.
Right now I'm in a confusing spot that I'll probably post about separately to get ya'lls feed back. But basically I'm most likely at the start of a new cycle. No BFP in time for the anniversary of last year's unsuccessful BFP (Sept 14). So that sucks. Trying to enjoy fall, my favorite time of year, instead of being bummed out by no baby for the third fall in a row.
I also asked my husband if he would be willing to do an SA, just to rule that part out. He said sure. So, especially if I really have started a new cycle, we're going to set that up and hopefully get results before my next O... which should arive in about 5 weeks
Worst gift I ever got? A butterfly necklace, from my husband. First of all, I am not a butterfly person at all. Second, he gave it to me during a birthday dinner at a fancy restaurant with his parents, in a little box, after months of me bugging him to pop the question and after he already asked both my parents' permission. So I get a box, on my birthday... and it's a NECKLACE. And he couldn't get why I wasn't more excited
Me(28) and Husband(39): 10/5/2013, TTC since 10/2013 Metformin 7/2014, BFP 8/14/2014, MC 11/1/2014 Dx: PCOS, cycles 38-72. As of 6/2015 trying to lose weight and fix cycles with diet and exercise!!
Thank you all for letting me join in here. I was feeling a little out of place on TTGP. Thank you for being so welcoming :-h
Right now we're waiting for next cycle to start so we can get rolling with our IUI. We were going to do it this cycle, but H's work schedule didn't allow it. It's no big deal, I just want to get it done so we can get our IVF process started. I should try to be optimistic but the RE said H's motility is so low that even if a sperm does get to the egg, it probably won't be able to get in. Hearing that was pretty disappointing, especially since we spent so much money already for his vasectomy reversal. I had my blood tests done last week and everything looked excellent, so we'll see what happens!
Worst gift: H's dad gave us as a Christmas present a creepy Santa decoration. It was a standing doll type of thing, and the box was covered in dust and still had the $1 garage sale sticker on it. That was our first Christmas together so it was really awkward.
Hi ladies. Just wanted to check in and give an update. I changed my SN from kmetcalfe 77. Thought I should let you all know so that you aren't wondering who whiggrrl65 is.
Holy cannoli, Batman! What a week, I just read through the posts and once again feel at home with you ladies. I just did my trigger shot, on CD 10. I had 1 great follicle and another "meh" follicle. Fingers crossed, for me and all of you!
Hmmm, worst present. My family and I don't really give many presents as adults, they are mostly for the kids. Oh! I know, Valentine's Day in high school.... My then boyfriend brought a dozen roses to school, and gave them out one-by-one to other girls that were "friends". He didn't have any left by the time he saw me and didn't even realize that he forgot about me until I gave him his gift. Needless to say the thoughtless lamo and I did not last much longer.

so nothing really exciting this week. working a lot and starting to obsess about TTC. Currently 7dpo today and started thinking about progesterone and it's role in the TWW and early pregnancy. No idea if I'm pregnant yet, keeping my fingers crossed. But I know that I have low progesterone levels from previous pregnancies (see signature). The highest level I ever saw was a 10 (RE still thought that was too low) and that was with Clomid and a trigger shot a couple months ago. This month is no medication month and just temping/charting. We shall see what happens but I'm wondering to myself if I should get a progesterone cream or take my progesterone supplements that were perscribed to me when I was pregnant now during the TWW. I am correct in thinking that progesterone doesn't help you get pregnant just staying pregnant correct? If anyone has any information or advice on this I would love some thoughts!
Oh and worst present: I unfortuantely get a lot of them from my mother in law, this year for my 30th birthday she gave me two mugs and some hot cocoa mix and a small skillet for egg frying. Thanks! Its the thought that counts I guess.
@smfeuro progesterone can help you stay pregnant, but I wouldn't take it without your doctor knowing. Maybe call your RE to ask about it?
me 30; DH 35 TTC since May 2014. Aug 2014 BFP, EDD April 22, 2015. Low progesterone, started suppositories. Loss at 5w6d. Nov 19, 2015 BFP at 13 dpo, EDD July 29, 2016. MMC discovered 12/29 (9+4). Natural miscarriage 1/16 (12+1). AMH results 0.42, 1.2; FSH 12.1, AFC 10, dx DOR. RPL testing results normal. Nurse recommended progesterone suppositories in TWW. Clomid + trigger + TI cycle August 2016 - failed. Thin lining. Femara + trigger + TI cycle December 2016 - failed. Thin lining. Short LP (8 days). Acupuncture & Chinese herbs starting January 2017, lengthened LP to 10 days
Guess what!!!!!! AF came this morning!!!!! 89 days of waiting is over! Yaaaaaay!!!! Not sure how it affects my RE appt, but I don't even care at this point lol They said I could still come to the appt. I am glad bc it is less medication to start with (trying to jumpstart my cycle). I am pretty anti medicine, but I'm breaking all my rules bc I really want a baby!!

Update: AF arrived this week after 3rd round of clomid (100mg).
Next step - RE on October 12th!
DX: PCOS (no cysts)
History:
Cycle 1 Clomid (50mg): Monitored with 17mm follicle ovulated on my own - BFN Cylcle 2 Clomid (50mg): July - August 20 - Monitored with 22mm follicle - HCG Trigger shot - AF arrived DPO 24 Cycle 3 Clomid (100mg): Monitored with 26mm - no trigger - AF arrived DPO 13
Update: waiting for blood results. They said if my levels go down then miscarriage. If they go up then ectopic and I will need that injection and then I can't go on my trip. I got an us too and they can't find anything yet.

I'm so sorry about this Drove2u. I'm really praying that it's not ectopic.
Thanks @GoldenKeys well levels went up to 200. So I had to cancel my trip. Totally bummed. No. Depressed. I have to go back on Monday and depending what those results are I will probably have to get the injection but the doctor is hoping it will resolve itself.
I'm so so sorry. This must be so stressful and hard.
Do you know why they are so sure it's ectopic? Is it just because the numbers are low? I've always heard that it's not the number so much as the doubling time that's important, and if you started out at 5.9 on 9/14 and are at 200 today then you are doubling roughly ever 51 hours which to me is pretty close to 48 hours. I've also read that hcg needs to be around 1000 before a gestational sac can usually be seen by ultrasound so I feel it would not be surprising to not see anything at 200.
Well I'm 6 weeks now so my levels should be more than 200 I guess. They weren't able to find anything in my uterus either and my progesterone is very very low.
@Drove2u Ugh. I am so sorry girl. *HUGS* On the bright side, you know you CAN get pregnant. So that's good, at least. I'm sorry you're going through this, we are all here for you!

@Drove2u I'm so sorry for what you are going through. I was so worried about you going on an international trip and long flight with a potential ectopic, so in a way I'm glad you got your answer even thought I'm sure it was a bit scary to hear.
