With my first pregnancy I found out I was pregnant the same day I learned I was starting a miscarriage. We never let anyone know about it. This time around I am wanting to wait till about the twelve week mark just to insure that it's real. If all goes well we will announce on Halloween.
Got my BFP yesterday on my birthday! I told DH and DD who is 11 but I did let her know to not tell her brother because he will spill the beans and tell my mom. Everyone else will find out once i'm 12 weeks. I miscarried at 7 weeks in April so i want to make sure this one sticks before we spread the news.
Other than Dh only tmy best friend knows. We will most likely wait until we are 12 weeks to tell everyone else. But will decide for sure after my first appointment, which is next week. Last summer I had a miscarriage 2 days after I got a bfp. Dh was a little excited and told his family right away and then we had to tell them a day later that we miscarried. Being a little more cautious this time!
Well I wanted to wait til I was past the first trimester but right after we told my parents and his, my husband could t hold it in and told all his friends. He is so excited he even tells the waitresses at restaurants and random people we meet. I just couldn't be mad since he's so excited but still nervous cuz it's so early
Only my husband knows. My step sister is getting married a few days after my 12 week mark so to not steal that thunder we are waiting until the last week of October; after her wedding. Going to be hard to keep it in but I'm starting to calm down/not be so anxious since we found out 2 weeks ago!
My husband's family is all getting together in a month. Our first doctor's appointment is two weeks before, so we are going to wait to tell family until then.
I couldn't help out when we first found out though! I did tell two close coworkers and a couple of really close friends. I know if something were to happen early on that I'd need their support.
I'm only four weeks, but I've told my two best friends and my parents. If something does happen, I would want to lean on them, so it doesn't matter if I tell them early. We'll be telling the ILs next month when we drive up to see them. I really want to just blurt it out, but DH is keeping me sane lol
We told our parents immediately after our BFP - mostly because my mother-in-law was fighting cancer- and we're glad we did since she lost the battle a week ago and we would feel horrible if she didn't know before hand. But the rest of the family we'll tell after our first ultrasound on October 6th. I had to tell my boss today because I keep falling asleep at my desk and she's trying to get me to work two huge programs back to back in a month and I couldn't just say no without an explanation. Oh and I told my best friend because she knew we were trying.
I am going to try and wait till after I meet with the doctor which I will be 10 weeks and it will be right around Halloween. I have already told our parents though and now my mom is going to tell her to best friends (they are like second moms or aunts to me) since they will want to throw a baby show for me (they always said they would since they both have sons) and mom will want to get the date scheduled so we can buy plane tickets before they get to expensive.
I just had a positive test last Sunday after being 4 days Late on my ALWAYS reliable period. I showed my husband the pregnancy test right away - this my first time taking one and I was in such disbelief (he's a doctor and doesn't get worked up over anything health related). I took 3 positive tests even tho he told me I can stop at one Lol. We told our parents and siblings and they are SO EXCITED - it actually worries me because they are all now so involved (and so happy) I'd feel awful if something bad happened
Due to it being so early I told only a small handful of close family members on my side only. I specifically asked they not share yet. One posted it all over social media almost immediately.
DH and I haven't really talked about it yet. In theory we wanted to wait until 12 weeks to tell anyone, now that we have that BFP I'm bursting to share the news. We will wait at least until after our first appointment to tell anyone for sure, but after that I'm not sure. Ideally we will wait to tell most people until I can't hide it anymore, it is a fun secret! I will probably end up spilling the beans to my mom, sister, and best friend sooner though!
We just got our BFP on Sept 21st and I took one the next day just to be sure. haha I have an appointment on Sept 30th. We haven't told anyone yet. Its killing me to not say anything to anyone, but we want to make sure that everything is going well before we do. We will probably try and wait til the beginning of December to tell everyone because we are having a family get together for Christmas. We figured we would make the announcement then. Now to try and come up with a clever way to let everyone know.
