39.2wks, still cooking - anyone else?!?!?!

I am due this upcoming Sunday 9/27. All the posts are mostly about breastfeeding, baby pics, and post partum topics. Feeling left out!!!!!! :) I am loving seeing everyone's birth announcements and baby pics.

Anyone else still cooking with me? Hoping my baby stays a September baby!!!

Today's doctor appointment had me at 3cm and 90%.... Such a an overwhelming mix of emotions... So excited and even emotional about meeting our first born son.. Yet so terrified about my plan for an all natural birth!

    I'm right there with you!!! Due Sept 28 and little man seems quite content to stay in Hotel Mama! My previous doctor's appointment was last Friday and I was still stuck at 1cm. Didn't get to really talk with my doc because she had another patient who was ready to push so I told her I didn't mind and would call if anything changed.

    I will say that this week feels different than any other weeks. Baby definitely feels lower and I am having more period-like cramps (nothing timeable yet but more noticeable for sure)....I think he knows his lease is running out! I am still working and almost didn't come in today....I'm glad I did because every day here is another day I get to be home with him....but I am starting to get to the point where I don't know if I should risk coming in to work (my work is about 90 minutes from my hospital)

    But still hanging in there!!!

    I'm 39w5d and at my last appointment had no dilation and baby was still high. It's gotten to the point where when people text me to "see how I'm feeling", I respond with "like I'm going to be pregnant forever!" Haha. Good luck ladies!

    I'm still here too! I have two EDDs - one is Sept 24th and one is Sept 30th, really hoping to make this baby in September. Hoping the full moon and eclipse on the 28th works its magic and that I don't go over 40 weeks like I did with DD1. Fingers crossed for all of us!

    I'm 39.2 also, just waiting it out over here. She can't stay in there forever but I'm just so excited and anxious to meet her! Also, my niece turns 3 on Saturday and I don't really want them to have to share a birthday. I'm prepared that she might be an October baby...

    This is my first time saying anything on this board (I just joined) and yes, you're not alone! I'll be 40 weeks on Thursday and barely signs of anything. It's so hard to be patient at these times especially for a planner like me. I'm even trying to move my appointment up 1 day so I can get stripped again (plus my hands are swollen more than usual) . It doesn't help when family and friends are texting you constantly IS THE BABY HERE YET? I'm also on maternity leave already. Are you?

    I'm a real estate agent and my office is at home.... So I didn't really take maternity leave and have just outsourced a lot of my work to my assistant... But and still taking calls and emails.

    I'm on maternity leave but keeping tabs on my team at work - partly because it helps distract me from the fact I'm STILL pregnant and partly because I get daily emails or phone calls asking if LO has made her grand appearance. Arrrghhh ... no.

    Must be a Europe thing! I have two due dates as well, or rather a "birth week" between the 30th and October 7th. Funny!

    40+1 here and LO is quite content in there. Been walking all over trying to jump start labor, so far nothing.

    40+1 and super annoyed that I'm still preggo.

    I've been at 3cm and 50% for weeks now. I'll have random contractions for a while...and then they just stop. My appointment isn't until Thursday morning and I'd really like to not have to go to that one.

    Every time I stand up to pee, I hope for my water to break!! I want something new to happen instead of random contractions that seem to just exist to torture my brain!!!

    Same! I'm 39 weeks today...I've been 1cm and 50% effaced for 2 weeks now. I've been having period like cramps for a couple weeks now so I was sure I would go early. Now I'm convinced I'm going to be the pregnant lady sitting around waiting for labor at 42 weeks - I don't feel any different!

    I'm also frustrated with everyone asking "when's the baby coming?"...also getting tired of my MIL asking about my cervix and its current status! I want to ask her if she knows she is asking about my vagina!? Like really...I'll let her know when I go into labor but I don't feel like giving her a vaginal play by play!

    This could have been written by me....my story exactly! I'm 40w0d, 3cm and 90% effaced for past 3 weeks, and have appt on Friday that I really do not want to go to!!!

    glad we're not alone. This is my third pregnancy and I've never gone on my own and never at or before 40 weeks. grrr. you think I'd be used to it by now.

    Due sept 30th and still pregnant here! I've been having contractions off and on for 2 weeks now but they never get close enough to go into the hospital. Last week I was dilated to 3 and 70% effaced. I'm hoping that I'm a 5 tomorrow at my appointment and they'll go ahead and induce labor! I'm excited to meet this little dude!

    Edd 9/27...I go tomorrow and am making the dr sweep me and schedule an induction for Monday or Tuesday next week...it's baby 3 and I think she may hold out in there until we pick a name! Lol!

    39 & 3, 1-2cm and 75% as of today's appointment. I'm just waiting around for baby to come. I'm also starting to get impatient and totally feel you with the board topics. So happy for everyone who has had theirs but it's also feeding my growing anticipation for my baby's appearance lol.
    It will be any day now for us to join in !!

    @cjstats87 totally with you on still needing to settle on a name! We haven't chosen one 100% yet and I keep on joking that that is why she's not making an appearance but I tell her that I need to see her face to make a decision. That's what we did with her big sis, lol.

    40+2 here! Was 1cm on Monday and had my stretch and sweep, finally having mucus and the tiniest amount of bloody show tonight. Part of me wants to get her here fast and the other part just wants to stay pregnant forever and avoid labour all together (this is my 3rd) as it has been ten years since my lasts and I feel more scared then my first time lol

    Same boat. I've been 2cm for 4 weeks!! Been losing plug for weeks too. At this point, I'm scared I'm stuck and can't naturally go any further. I'm also hoping not to make it to my next appt. I'm 39+1. My first was two weeks early without any signs of labor so I assumed this would be even sooner since I dilated early...NOPE!

    40 weeks & 4 days.... So impatient!!! Haha doctor says I'm fine we haven't discussed an induction yet but I'm going into the doctor today. Thinking about having my membranes stripped, will discuss today. I just want to have this baby!!! So don't worry you're not alone :)

    I've been feeling the same way! 42 weeks today :( getting induced on Saturday.... But in the meantime trying everything I can to get my little love to make her debut!

    I may have tried castor oil today :/ No poops yet. I did it with my son and it got me dilated to a 4. I'm already a 2 so who knows. I've also done labor cookies and pineapple (I mean both are pretty delicious). If it doesn't send me into labor today (the castor oil) I'll just wait it out until induction at 41 weeks 3 days.

    Me too!! Due the 27th. Every time I have to pee in the middle of the night I hope my water breaks when I stand up. Really hoping the moon has crazy moon powers on the 27/28th. Super moon & lunar eclipse. We'll see!

    You're not alone... 39w6d today and still no sign of baby. I live in NYC too, so getting a little nervous for the next two days, since the is a United Nations General Assembly AND the Pope visit... Nervous about getting to the hospital! Hoping baby comes soon though!

    I was due on the 18th. 5 days ago! No signs of labor besides some Braxton hicks every now and again. I'm so done with being pregnant. I've been done for a couple of months now. Third trimester sucks for me

    FTM... 39w 2 days. Due the 29th...
    Also so so so tired of being pregnant. Lost my mucus plug this morning all at once... And have been dilated 1-2 cm and 25% for almost 2 weeks now. No regular contractions and pray for my water to break every time I stand up as well!! So glad I'm not alone. The more comments I see from moms at 40+ the more depressed I get - feeling like this will never end!!!!

    40w 5d. Due the 18th. You are definitely not alone! At about 2cm for almost 3 weeks and only losing small pieces of my plug here and there. No real contractions or signs of labor. They might have to give this little guy a nudge to get him moving. Just kick your feet up and enjoy the ride, we are going to miss this one day. You can do it!!! :] good luck!

    41 weeks + 1.

    I've tried everything. Two sweeps. Acupuncture. All the spice. I basically never sit down. You name it, I've tried it.

    I went to my appointment today (39 weeks) - my OB seriously asked "how is it possible you haven't had this baby yet?!?" I'm at 4cm, I had virtually no membranes to strip, and she could touch the kiddos head!

    And here I am. 14 hours later and still no baby.

    Just sitting at home, pregnant and alone. That's my song for the day ;) What is everyone up to today to keep busy? I'm thinking of running and getting a gift for a wedding I'm (maybe) going to tomorrow (if baby doesn't come).

    I am due today and my cervix is firmly shut according to the midwife.....may be a while to go yet!!
