I have had a D&C and truthfully, it was more painful emotionally than physically. I was uncomfortable after the procedure, but it wasn't painful. It felt like moderate cramping with bloating. I was able to go to work the next day, and I have a fairly physical job in healthcare. Just give yourself time to rest and heal emotionally and physically. Sending you positive thoughts and hoping for the best!

Good luck!!
I had a d&c in April. I was in the same boat. I just wanted it over with so we could start to heal and move on.
We got to the hospital in the morning and was given an iv. They came to prep my for the surgery in the early afternoon. The surgery was really short but they put me under anesthetic. I woke up and got to go home after an hour. I took the next day off work but was back the following day.
The pain was fairly mild after. Just like period cramps. Nothing Tylenol couldn't handle.
Like everyone else said, the pain is nothing compared to what you're going through emotionally. Thinking of you.

Iavidkeo ! There might still be a chance. Don't give up hope. I am not knowledgable in this at all, but couldn't this just mean you conceived a bit later than though?
I chose to wait it out, both because of the slight chance, however minuscule, that it wasn't a blighted ovum, and because I wanted to proceed naturally. My doctor was supportive, had a few blood tests to check on numbers, and checked in weekly.
In my case, I found out at 8w but the miscarriage did not happen until 14w. I typically have extremely painful periods, and this was... Well, something else. Both in pain, and blood/tissue loss. I took a few days off work, the first by necessity, the 2nd just in case, and only had light work scheduled that Friday. I was careful a few days more, but recovered without complications.
Personally, I prefer to handle things naturally, and would do so again if I were unfortunate enough to be in that situation again, but it was a long 6 week wait in my case, knowing the miscarriage could begin at any time (over the holidays too) and of course, both painful and unpleasant when it did happen. I feel better equipped to handle some of childbirth because of it, but I can imagine many people would not want the wait or the experience. Most do not wait that long, I think, and I expect mine was worse because my body went along blithely unaware until 14w-- even with no baby, there was a lot more to pass. Do keep that in mind. In the end, choose what is right for you though.
I hope, should the worst come to pass, you have a little more perspective to work with. I'll keep you and your little one in my prayers.
