Our immediate families have known for a while. After our ultrasound last week, we started telling close friends as we saw them. After we have a chance to tell all close friends/extended family personally and have our genetic screening next week, we'll post this.
Do you think we should redo the bottom left picture?
Cute! Love that you found husband/wife shirts - I've never seen those for other teams. I don't think the picture needs re-done, but if it bugs you, you might as well. I assume this will be something in a baby book forever, so it could be worth it if it bothers you

Super cute! I'd personally redo it so you're not backlit in front of the window. The text at the bottom makes sense but at first glance the picture makes it looks like twins. I'm not sure you can do anything about that though. Have fun announcing!
@mrstrax - Thank you! The Michigan Wife t-shirt is authentic and sold by Michigan. I couldn't find a Penn State husband equivalent, so I custom made it and gave both to my husband at our rehearsal dinner. We go to viewing sites often and take heat when we wear our alma mater stuff to the other's site. This has worked well so far
@terime I was worried about people making the twins connection. Will try to redo the onesies pic and add a "vs" or "or" between them. Redoing the bottom left photo, too. Thanks!
Is anybody else not really planning a cutesy announcement? I mean, we have casually told ILs, DHs siblings, and a couple of my family members as we've seen them (DHs sibs via group text because they're scattered around the country right now). We've had great excited reactions nevertheless. Have had a couple of big losses in my family over the last year (my aunt and grandma) who I would have been most excited to share the news with. Haven't told my Dad yet, I definitely will but we're not incredibly close so not in a hurry. And I'm really not planning on sharing with the social media much at all - maybe until we find out the sex, maybe not even then.
I'm very excited, don't get me wrong, I just feel like there's something wrong with my lack of enthusiasm in re: announcing to the world.
You're not alone. I am a very private person and no one we aren't close enough to tell in person needs to know!
(but the announcements are super cute so keep rocking them, folks, if that's your jam)
Our parents don't even know yet. That is how anti-telling I am. It isn't that we aren't excited (we are thrilled), it is just that we are so private. I also lost a pregnancy in March, so I am a bit skittish.
But I plan to put a picture of me on Facebook holding my baby a few days after it is born. That will be my announcement.
I think the announcements are super cute, but I don't think we will announce our pregnancy. We are private people as well and most people will find out when I start showing, but I am just not sure of doing a big announcement or gender reveal party. We have told my parents and in-laws and my best friend knows. Outside of that we have kind of kept everything quiet. Obviously we want to make sure the baby is ok and wait until 1st trimester is over, but I also worry about posting on FB and then something happening later in the pregnancy. I am thinking we will do what we did last time, which is just post a picture once we have the baby. I do enjoy seeing everyone else's announcements though.
We finally put our announcement up. We actually used a video to tell everyone, but it's too big to post here. It turned out amazing and if the photographer posts it on his website, I will definitely add the link later.
However we changed our profile pictures to some of the pictures. I love baking so a friend and I made a shirt I saw on Pinterest and then we used the knitted slugs his mom made us and the rest was just silly shenanigans.
ETA: My mac won't like me "love" posts (well, sometimes, it's in a constant state of PMS) but OMG, so many cute announcements! Love the "last one! well.. maybe!" one! )
We announced a few weeks ago to extended family and also on Facebook. The caption said coming in April 2016. This was the pic we posted. Our last name is Craft.
We are waiting to announce when I'm 13 weeks October 7th. I have more to choose from but these were my faves so far . They were taken on our farm where I grew up. The rock photo means a lot to me. My dad was killed in a farming accident and this rock was buried in one of his fields. He told me he would dig it up for me but he passed away before he could do it. My grandpa went out a few weeks after dad died , dug it up and placed it by the oldest tree on the farm. That's where it's been since 2007. I had to incorporate it somehow
This is what we shared! These are the steps of our first house together, the steps where DH asked me to be his wife, so it seemed fitting to announce LO from there too!
I sent my family members a video of DD saying she didn't want to be a big sister. All I wrote was "Too bad." I waited to see how long it took them to figure it out.
our immediate families and a few friends know. Waiting for the baby's sex before "going public." We're both pretty geeky (our in utero nickname is Optimus!) so thinking something themed like its an app development project.
Love it! We're planning something similar--his hockey skates, my figure skates, and a little pair of either figure or hockey skates, depending on the sex. We're keeping our fingers crossed that our little one is interested in playing hockey regardless of gender, though!

We plan to tell our parents around 15 weeks.
(note-my due date was originally April 1st, then was pushed to march 23rd)
