@dientje it's a lot different and I miss the beach for sure. But the cost of living is so much more affordable and it's very peaceful here. I miss miami. I was just there for Labor Day weekend.
Sidenote: we had to travel to Philly two years ago for my daughter to have her OHS (shout out to CHOP!). The greatest thing EVER to me was a Wawa. I NEED one here.

And last but not least Southern ladies: I am currently near Montgomery AL but root for LSU on the weekends thanks to a DH from LA
