It's not uncommon to only start showing late in the second trimester, especially if this is your first pregnancy. There have been many threads started on this particular topic. You can access them by using the search feature.
Everyone's bodies are different and you will show in your own time. You can't really rush it along and I'm not sure we can help you, but as the PP stated - there are a lot of threads about this exact topic that you can check out. I also wanted to add that there are some threads specifically for plus size mothers due in Feb 2016 that may be helpful too!
The only advice I have is to wait 8-12 weeks (depending on when in February you're due) until the end of the second trimester. Perhaps you'll develop a bump then.
Disclaimer: this is not a guaranteed solution. As PPs said, everyone's body is different. Some women never appear visibly pregnant, and their babies arrive anyway. Congrats on your pregnancy!
Hi there, I am 19 weeks and my body shape is a small to medium. I'm not really showing either. Perhaps we both will get our bumps towards the end of the second trimester. Don't feel bad or discouraged. Like others have said every body is different and every pregnancy is different. Our baby's seem to want a Ayer appearance. I hope this helps.
Hey! I'm 17 weeks and also a size 16/18. I have no belly bump at the moment just my usual chubby flab lol I'm pretty sure by our third trimester we'll be bumping for sure I do feel him moving tho, just can't wait to be able to see it thru the bump.
Thanks for the advice ladies I wait and see what my bodies decides to and can't wait to add my first bump pic - I know it's sad but you never know what to expect - congratulations ladies thanks for responding
I am not really plus size, just "normal" size not small or Anything either, just short. So "normal" is what society usually calls my size, anyways I am exactly the same! Just my flabby tummy and no sign of baby. It's kind of nice though, just think, less stretch marks, less weight gain, more room in the car and such!! Also it's nice to still sleep safely in my belly. ❤️
Edit : I pressed "post" too soon! Just finished typing it. My bad.
I've found that I can produce a massive bump just by sticking my belly out and slumping a bit ☺ good posture definitely minimises it. Just think of the stretch marks you aren't getting
I'm kinda feeling like my tummy is more flab than bump too im at week 18...im super tall (6'0) so I was told I might not be as big as others in general but I dunno...its kinda hard not to compare to others and feel a little down about it..but I'm sure we will get our lovely belly bumps soon
Be careful what you wish for ... I wasn't showing at all --just bloat--and then I POPPED. Over the course of 24 hours. My stomach muscles felt torn and it was quite uncomfortable. It has been 3 days now and I am only now feeling some relief from the soreness/ sprained muscles. Thank heavens for cold packs.
I was feeling a bit odd about not showing. But of course now I feel a bit odd about not being able to not-show until baby arrives I guess pregnancy is a bit odd in general
Re: no baby bump in sight - just tummy flab at 20 weeks
