For those of you that have actually tried them...

I still have almost two weeks until my due date, so I was just hoping to hear some of your oppions on waist training/belly binding now that most of you lucky ladies have already had your babies. I really want one and I know that there have been a billion posts on this topic, but I was hoping this would be more helpful since more of you probably have first hand experience now. Soooo, did you ladies like them? Were they useful? Uncomfortable? What were the good brands? TIA

Re: For those of you that have actually tried them...

  • I used the compression garment given to c-section patients and it got my belly relatively flat within 2 weeks. I wore it all day everyday unless I was taking a shower and I never felt uncomfortable. It was long enough to cover from under my breast to mid hip and had a nice amount of additional material so I could make it smaller as I lost the weight.

I tried the belly bandit and I hated it! It was too short and stiff, and you would have to buy multiples in order to keep up with your progress.

Under no circumstances do I recommend the waist trainers... my friend tried it and ended up in the hospital bc it jacked her up. The are not meant for postpartum and cause more harm than good.
